A Zanmizi Ntima lurking within its preferred habitat of dark side infused locations or ruins​

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Zanmizi Ntima
    • Zanmizi Ntima is ur-Kittat, the language of the Sith, for Blight Dragon. With the evolution of the creature's abilities, the Lady of Secrets wanted to move beyond its previous connotations connected to disease and instead demonstrate how much more potent the creature had become in its third generation of mutations.
  • Designation: Non-Sentient
  • Origins:
    • Amaltanna
      • Most members of the species have taken to dwelling within shadowed and more corrupted portions of the Zegana Wetlands, the Ula Jungle, and the Dreamroot Weald, with their very presence further corrupting and warping their environments into treacherous and noxious lairs.
      • A few members of the species have also taken to dwelling in the Gloam Depths, carving out territory and lairs within the Zagoth Marshes.
  • Average Lifespan: 150 Galactic Standard Years
    • The introduction of DNA sequences from the Leviathan Krayt Dragon has nearly doubled the lifespan of the Zanmizi Ntima compared to their previous generation and cousins, the Cirmuhai. It is further estimated by Order of Arcane Syn alchemists and biomancers that individual members of the species could further grow and evolve, depending upon their exposure to dark side energies, and achieve even longer lifespans.
  • Estimated Population: Rare
    • As the new dragons are only the first members of their species, their numbers remain low and focused completely upon Amaltanna. As the population grows, or if an enterprising Sith is able to transport a few specimens offworld, it is likely they could be established on other worlds sufficiently touched by the Sith or the dark side to thrive.
  • Description:
    • A vision of death, decay, and ruin personified into a terrifying monster, the Zanmizi Ntima are potent and immense symbols of power and fear. The introduction of various DNA sequences of other draconic species in the galaxy have resulted in the monsters being covered in an armor of black scales, their heads morphing into skull-like visages with horns, and noxious fumes and potent acids forming within their mouths. Long spikes and ridges have formed along their backs, and their wingspan and size have only further evolved from their progenitor cousins. The very presence of a Zanmizi Ntima induces fear and panic, all the better to imbue its prey with traces of the dark side for it to consume.

An adult Zanmizi Ntima​

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I and Type II
  • Average Height of Adults:
    • Typically, an average adult member of the species reaches heights of roughly 18 meters, although some specimens that have absorbed sufficient power from their corrupted surroundings and maintained a consistent food supply can reach heights of anywhere between 20 and 25 meters. Order of Arcane Syn biomancers have theorized these specimens, and those that have been bound into service of a powerful Sith Lord, could reach even further heights.
  • Average Length of Adults:
    • Typically, an average adult member of the species reaches lengths of roughly 25 meters from snout to tail tip, although some speciemsn that have absorbed sufficient power from their corrupted surroundings and maintained a consistent food supply can reach lengths of anywhere between 30 to 35 meters. Order of Arcane Syn biomancers have theorized these specimens, and those that have been bound into service of a powerful Sith Lord, could reach even further lengths.
  • Skin color:
    • Beneath the black scales that now cover much of their body, the creature's skin color can range from a darker shade of gray to a sickly white. The coloration of their wings will typically range from a dark gray-green to dark gray, with the Order of Arcane Syn biomancers unsure what creates such changes in coloration.
  • Hair color:
    • Zanmizi Ntima do not have hair or any sort of analogue that might be considered hair.
  • Distinctions:
    • The most distinctive physical traits of a Zanmizi Ntima are the prominent horns that have grown from their heads, along with its massive wings and the black scales that cover the body. Males typically have a large crest that forms along the back of their head and goes along their neck that becomes the spines or spikes that continue along the length of its body. Females have a small set of horns that have formed along their primary set, but they are slightly smaller than males of their species. As they grow older, both males and females develop further spikes and spines along their legs even as they continue growing in size.
  • Races:
    • No other races, although they are related to the Cirmuhai and Kakdjis Zuta purely because both creatures are the previous generation of Sithspawn created by Darth Arcanix and her power base that the Zanmizi Ntima is formed from.
  • Force Sensitivity: All
    • Unlike the previous two generations of the creatures, because of the processes utilized by the Lady of Secrets to enhance and form this new generation of draconic Sithspawn, each member of the species is classified as Force Sensitive, even as they remain non-sentient. This reclassification and enhancement as they were formed allowed the Mistress of Monsters to further their ability to utilize certain innate Force powers rather than the clumsy, if not potent, abilities gifted to the Cirmuhai and the Kakdjis Zuta.

A Zanmizi Ntima unleashing its acidic and toxic breath attack​

Strengths:
  • Gifted and imprinted with the innate knowledge in how to utilize certain Force Powers by the Lady of Secrets and her followers, each member of the species can utilize the following abilities when engaged with prey or enemies:
    • Force Fear
      • Force Horror - Only able to be unleashed by adult members of the species
      • Force Insanity - Only able to be unleashed by the oldest members of the species
    • Force Slow
      • Force Affliction - Only able to be unleashed by adult members of the species
      • Force Plague - Only able to be unleashed by the oldest members of the species
    • Inflict Pain
    • Consume Essence
  • As an evolution of the Cirmuhai's breath weapon of Trauger Gas, the Lady of Secrets and her biomancers have further enhanced the ability of the creature to unleash a powerful weapon from its mouth. However, unlike the previous generation, the Zanmizi Ntima have a secondary breath weapon they can utilize in addition to the toxic gases that are similar in potency to the Trauger Gas attack. Introducing Leviathan Krayt Dragon DNA sequences into the creature allowed a second organ to develop within their bodies that allow to expel an extremely corrosive acid attack from their attack, able to melt organic matter within seconds of contact and even melt through standard metals like durasteel in moments, although tougher and stronger metals like beskar can take more punishment. The creature, mainly the adults and older, can unleash both breath attacks simultaneously for a devastating double attack of poison gas and acid.
  • Like most draconic creatures, and their previous generation cousins, the Zanmizi Ntima can utilize their massive wings to achieve and sustain flight for hours on end as they hunt within their staked territory or in pursuit of enemies, whether their own or their master's. The creatures are not the fastest fliers though, due to their size, but their wings have developed in a way that allows them to fly near silently to avoid detection from prey through auditory warnings.
  • The creatures, much like their previous generation cousins, have immense strength due to their alchemized and enhanced musculature, along with the addition of the new DNA sequences into their genome. A typical adult Zanmizi Ntima can easily lift creatures or vehicles the size of a bull rancor, while the oldest members of their species can achieve even further remarkable feats of strength.
  • As an evolution over the Cirmuhai, the introduction of Arkanian Dragon DNA sequences into their genome created a layer of armored scales that cover their bodies. These scales, further enhanced by Sith alchemy, are nearly impervious to standard small arms weapons such as blasters or slugthrowers and lightsabers have an extremely difficult time cutting through the scales, taking multiple hits on the same spot to start burning through the armor to the creature beneath it. Heavier weaponry such as from a vehicle or heavy emplacement can break through the scales easier, although it may still take a few shots if they hit a particularly armored area.
  • The Lady of Secrets and her biomancers also ensured that the creatures had extremely sharp fangs and claws, further enhanced by their ability to secrete their acid through them like a snake fang. This ensures that a bite or claw attack from the creatures, deadly in their own right, also burn and melt around the wounds with the potent acid to further debilitate victims and prey.
  • Like the previous generations, the Zanmizi Ntima have incredibly powerful willpower and will only listen to commands from Sith or dark siders of adequate strength. The Lady of Secrets had designed these monsters to only listen to and carry out the commands of Sith Lords and Ladies, with others only having a prayer of a chance to command them if they raised them from an egg themselves. Otherwise, the creatures would find themselves insulted such a paltry Force User would dare try and command them and attack, likely resulting the death of that individual.
Weaknesses:
  • If the wing membrane of a Zanmizi Ntima becomes damaged, it becomes incredibly difficult if not impossible for the creature to maintain the lift it requires to remain airborne. A Blight Dragon that has suffered damage to its wings must wait for the damage to heal before it can take to the skies again.
  • If subjected to a ysalamiri void bubble or other Force suppressing materials, the creature can't utilize its innate and imprinted Force abilities. In addition, if the creature is subjected to a direct application of the light side of the Force, such as Force Light, it loses its ability to unleash the more advanced versions of its abilities and can't utilize Inflict Pain or Consume Essence for roughly a Galactic Standard Day.
  • Trained Force Users on the same skill level as a Knight, or an individual with excessive willpower, can resist the Force Fear and related abilities unleashed by the creature.
  • Direct applications of the light side, such as Force Light, can inflict serious injury on the creature depending upon the strength of the user as the Zanmizi Ntima were not granted any abilities to absorb or mitigate the effects of the light side. However, they have enough strength to resist being killed outright from such attacks, but they will be weakened.
  • The Zanmizi Ntima's eyes are also a weak spot as they are not protected in anyway and their vision can be impeded immensely if they are subjected to a bright light suddenly. This vision impairment will last twice as long as normal for other beings subjected to it.
  • Carbonite weaponry and disruptor weaponry are able to penetrate their scales, with the former turning them brittle enough to crack the scales and expose the skin beneath, and the later just merely disintegrating matter as a function. As stated previously, heavier weapons from a vehicle can also damage the scales of the creatures.
CULTURE
  • Diet:
    • Zanmizi Ntima are carnivorous non-sentients, eating any living creature that ventures into its territory that has not earned either its respect or obedience. The draconic creatures prefer, once their victim or prey is dead, to partially melt the body through their acid for consumption, although the Order of Arcane Syn biomancers are unsure what had prompted that behavior in the creatures.
  • Communication:
    • The creatures communicate with others of their kind through a series of roars, snarls, and other draconic sounds due to their non-sentient status. They can understand orders issued to them through the dark side of the Force or spoke aloud in ur-Kittat, the language of the Sith species.
  • Technology level:
    • The creatures are unable to utilize technology in any way due to being a non-sentient species.
  • Religion/Beliefs:
    • The creatures are unable to form religious beliefs or a belief system in general due to being a non-sentient species.
  • General behavior:
    • Like their previous generation cousins, Zanmizi Ntima are fiercely arrogant and territorial creatures, considering themselves as apex predators within their chosen environments. If they were classified as sentient, one would describe their behavior as sadistic as they enjoy inflicting suffering and terror on victims or prey that stumble into their territory within the wetlands and fungal swamps on Amaltanna. As they typically live in darkened environments, they are surprisingly stealthy hunters as they stalk prey and utilize their environments to partially camouflage themselves, slowly using their innate abilities to inflict fear and pain on victims before launching an attack on them in a rush of poison gases, acid, claws, and fangs.
    • Once they have been dominated by a Sith Lord or Lady of sufficient ability, they become immensely protective of their masters. Utterly loyal, they will obey any command given to them and will ferry their master to battle with no compunctions or guard their master's lands as jealously as their own territory.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

As the Lady of Secrets, Darth Arcanix, continued her research into develop a new type of Sithspawn creation vector and warping ritual, she had not forgotten the other projects she had desired to work upon. One such project, to create third generation advancements of many of her previous creations, would begin with the Cirmuhai. While the creature, itself a second-generation advancement, was a powerful tool for the Sith, it still had room for improvement in the mind of the Mistress of Monsters. Tasking her biomancers and retrieval agents to obtain DNA samples and specimens of other draconic species in the galaxy, the Lady of Secrets began the develop of the third generation of the creature: the Zanmizi Ntima or Blight Dragon in the language of the Sith species.

The new creatures, with DNA sequences introduced into their genome from Arkanian Dragons and Leviathan Krayt Dragons, evolved into a much more draconic form over its predecessor. Armored black scales now covered the creature's body, with further spikes and spines forming. The shape of their skulls changed, losing the avian qualities of the previous creature, becoming fully draconic in nature and with a pair of large horns forming on the sides of their heads. The Krayt Dragon DNA also allowed the development of a second organ within their body that allowed them to unleash a potent acid attack in addition to their already noxious Trauger Gas analogue breath attack.

The Lady of Secrets also sensed an opportunity to give the creature a more potent set of abilities, utilizing the imprinting rituals she and her biomances and alchemists had developed to give the creatures access to a wider pool of abilities connected to the dark side, rather than the Force Fear aura utilized by the Cirmuhai. The Zanmizi Ntima can now attack body and mind through the Force, using their new powers to cause pain, suffering, and terror within victims as they were unleashed into the wilds of Amaltanna for further study. The creatures have staked claim to large stretches of marshland, swamps, and caverns within the fungal forests and depths of the planet, carving out a spot as an apex predator for the planet and a powerful new addition to the Sithspawn forces of the Lady of Secrets and those she deems worthy of utilizing her creations.
