  • NAME: Yed'Iami'Sabosen
    CORE NAME: Diamis
    SPECIES: Chiss
    AGE: 27
    GENDER: Female
    HEIGHT: 5' 5"
    WEIGHT: 130 lbs
    HOMEWORLD: Csilla
    MARITAL STATUS: Single
    SIGNIFICANT OTHER: None
KNOWN RELATIVES: Yed'Ros'Sabosen ('Edross', Father, Status Unknown), Hera'zan'Sabosen ('Azansa', Mother, Status Unknown), Yed'Enno'Sabosen ('Dennos', Older Brother, Status Unknown), Yed'Kerra'Sabosen ('Dkerra', Younger Sister, Status Unknown)

    LANGUAGES: Cheunh, Galactic Basic

FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes, but unskilled in it

    FACTION: Confederacy of Independent Systems
    BRANCH:
    RANK:

  • HAIR: Navy, near-black
    EYES: Fully red
BUILD: Below-average height, slender in size, slightly less muscular than the average Chiss

    APPEARANCE NOTES:
    • Very focused on her appearance since she's a performer
    • Hates when she doesn't look put-together
    • Keeps her hair long to style it
    • Occasionally adds dark blue highlights to her hair to bring out the color
    • Personal clothes are plain, simple, and unobtrusive
    • Performance costumes are exotic, from a variety of cultures, and change depending on where she's performing

  • Strengths:
    • Observant: Chiss have a natural survival instinct, and Diamis is no different. Being out on her own has made her even more aware of her surroundings than before, and she refuses to let a detail unnoticed, no matter how small. Even if the color of someone's ring meant nothing now, it could be extremely important later.
    • Talented: Diamis has a naturally good singing voice, but it has developed with years of study, mimicry, and rehearsals. Her vocal talent also extends beyond her singing, now allowing her greater manipulation over her voice as a whole. She uses it to her advantage, changing her voice to fit what she thinks her company would prefer.
    • Self-Defense: Although her true talents lied elsewhere, Diamis grew up on Csilla, and she received the same military training that all other Chiss teenagers did. She can protect herself quite well, whether hand-to-hand, with a staff, or with a small blaster. This allows her to feel comfortable traveling on her own. She also downplays her own skills so that, should a bad situation arise, her enemies would be (hopefully) caught off-guard.

    Weaknesses:
    • Untrusting: Everyone should be held at an arm's length away at the closest. Diamis has been a liar for a good many years, and it has only grown since then. However, this has led her to believe that everyone else is lying, or at least not telling the whole truth, so it is difficult for her to actually believe someone and trust them.
    • Isolated: Diamis has nobody. After leaving Csilla, she had no contact with any of her friends and family, and has no idea what happened to them since Csilla was destroyed. She travels and lives alone, and although she won't admit it, it hurts her quite deeply. It's something she's tried to push down over the past four years, but it keeps coming back up to bite her.
    • Masked: (full detail coming soon)

The Sabosen family were judge, jury, and executioner. Although other branches of the family were in charge of more peaceful matters like health and education, Diamis grew up surrounded by law makers and law enforcers. Her father was a mid-rank government official, in charge of a few smaller sectors of Csilla, and her mother was a powerful court judge. Her younger years consisted of a mix of basic education, basic combat training, and law education. Although her parents didn't force her into law outwardly, it was clearly highly encouraged.

Which became a problem when Diamis fell in love with music.

During a break between sparring sessions, one of her classmates pulled out a Datapad they'd snuck in. They had recently gone off-world with their family, and had spent some time alone in a lounge bar while their parents conducted business. There, they got a variety of recordings of musicians, dancers, and singers who performed there. Diamis had never spent so much time staring at something frivolous in her life. She began watching how the singer's body moved in reaction to her song, what words were combined with what pitches, and what the reactions she could hear from the crowd were in relation to points in the song. That night, Diamis did something she never had before. She got a copy of the holos from her classmate, and snuck it into her own Datapad. She had to keep watching.

Years later, and many secret practice nights to herself, Diamis found an excuse to go off-world. She made her way to a Mid Rim planet and, after a bit of bribery, got her way on a small lounge stage for the first time. Diamis was hooked. With more Credits in her account than she came in with, she knew that somehow, all her study had proved her right. She made a few more trips, continuing to build her repertoire, reputation, and finances, and knew this is what she wanted to do for life.

It was during these trips and performances that Diamis felt something bubbling up inside her. She didn't know what it was, and she hated it. At first, she thought she was falling ill, but with no other symptoms, she tried to push it away, ignore it. But the more time she spent of Csilla, the more she heard about the one thing she was hoping it wasn't: the Force. Knowing that this would only further ostracize her from her family, Diamis knew she had to repress it as best as possible. Maybe she could live her life keeping it secret-- just like she wanted to keep her career secret.

Unfortunately, her career didn't stay secret for much longer. Unbeknownst to her, her mother had requested her brother to look into Diamis's accounts and travels, and soon her secret passion came to light. A major fight erupted, and after multiple refusals to give up on what she longed to do, Diamis was told to leave. She packed two bags and left on the next flight out of Csilla, not caring where she ended up. She just needed to get away.

Only four later, Diamis heard that Csilla was destroyed, leaving the fate of her family unknown. Now knowing she was by herself even more than before, she dedicated herself to her career. If she could find success in the way she knew she could, she could bring honor to her family, wherever they were, and herself.
