Why Wait for Darwinism? [Fel Dominion of Kad V]

Other Space Kaiden

Better than other-other space Kaiden
The war with the Sith, being dubbed the Great Galactic War by the Fel Imperium, was going well enough so far but this next battle would take place outside of Sith Space. Kad V was a planet uninhabited by sentient life, spare for the Sith research teams that had been sent to the planet during the reign of a previous Emperor. For the purposes of the war, the planet had little significance when it came to overall strategy. However, there was a noticeably strong presence of Sith forces in the system that were simply too strong to be ignored by the Fel without risking a surprise attack from behind. Besides, Ronin didn't want to risk the escape of the Sith Master who currently oversaw operations on the planet.

As per the recent bill signed into effect by the Imperator, no Sith above the rank of Knight would be permitted the luxury of surrender. The simple fact of the mater was that Darth's were far too corrupted by the darkside to take risks. Even Knights were fairly corrupted but you had a higher chance of redeeming one of them then you would ever have of redeeming a Darth. Executing all Darth's that the Fel could get their hands on would fracture the Empire's leadership and decrease the chances of strong Darksiders escaping to rebuild elsewhere, as the Sith were so famous for.

Exiting into the system on his current flagship Rebirth , Ronin immediately found himself faced with a sizable Sith Fleet orbiting the planet. Soon after, Ronin's 2 Imperial II - Class Star Destroyers exited behind him, the fragments of the planet's moon striking their shields as they came in. With a slight tilt of his head, Ronin called to the captain of the ship "Tell General Zrash to get the Phoenix ready for drop and move our ships into attack position."

The Sith were really the biggest problem for the Fel Imperium at this time. Building a galactic empire from the corner of the galaxy with the Sith looming? That was something else. While they were beings just the same as any else, the way their Force religion kept working made them the biggest threat to the galaxy at large. His father always made it clear that the Sith themselves were not the problem, not their teachings, but it was the pull of the Dark Side, and what it represented. Sure, it was a Jedi teaching, but Coren Starchaser was raised in a different school of thought.

The Imperial Cadet was just waiting to get out there. Standing in his black flight suit with the silver hilt of his lightsaber on his hip, he was surveying his squadron. Yes, they were working with the Artemis-Class Starfighters. He really wanted to get himself behind the controls of the TIEs, but there was still some stalling from the shipyards with the Flashpoints being finalized. Next time.

“Alright boys and girls. We’re going to be pulling into the space around Kad V shortly. We’re going in as point. Be ready for a lot of chop, and keep up your visual scanning. The radar is great, but we need to make sure we’re ready for anything. We’re going to be running the primary engagement, but if our shuttles get bogged down, we go get them out of the clear. Any questions?” The pilot surveyed his team and nodded. “Saddle up.”

Putting his flight helment on and getting up the ladder into his http://starwarsrp.net/topic/18243-artemis-class-starfighter/]Artemis[/url] fighter, he nodded to himself reading the texts from his droid. “Alright Niner, nice to see you too. Make sure to keep an eye on any flucations in communications.” Last thing he needed to be was caught out there blind.

Switching his comlink to the. “This is Commander Starchaser in Blue Squad. Rebirth Actual, we’re ready.” All they needed was a target.

Research Facility Infiltration Team

Veino checked his seat in the dropship and tightened his straps, ignoring the kamikaze butterflies in his stomach. This was a new experience. Togoria had been an infiltration, not an invasion. They hadn't really needed to deal with many fleets or anti-aircraft fire. There was nothing he could do about any of it now. He stopped. Actually, maybe there was. Could ballistikinesis be used for more than throwing things at people? Perhaps, say pushing things away from an object, such as a ship? Maybe if he could form a tenuous Force link? His nerves settled a little. He rolled his shoulders, stretching them. How to do this, though? He didn't think anyone knew the techniques.

Meta would be with the ArchMaster today, along with a few others. It had been none stop battle for Meta, first Ossus then Obrillion and now Kad V. However Meta wasn't too fussed about it, he had a saber in his hand and his fellow cadets and other at his side. Meta would be more than happy to cut through some Sith scum. The gunship had all aboard now and they were just waiting for the moment the order to descend on Kad V would be given.

Standing tall, firm, straight and completely composed, Meta's eyes locked with the door, his mind and Boyd read to leap up at the suspecting ground forces and enemy troops.

Animus stayed quiet, not nervous, just impatient. The durasteel facemask was hung up over his face, and he patiently waited. He tapped into the personal commline of the Emperor. It was good to finally have a...sort of friend. Well, the friend was his boss, but he liked the guy.

"I'm inbound to the research facility....am I burning or am I taking, sir?"Animus said, glancing around to the troops he had with him. Too many people, too little space. Made him fidgety.

[OOC: With permission of the above, I will be participating in this dominion and will be performing a clandestine reconnaissance mission on the Fel Empire, because I like to write as this character and so on.]

The Taral-class starfighter dropped out of hyperspace and into the Kad system. It's occupant was Ayra, Sith Marauder of the Sith Empire. Her presence during the rising Fel Empire's dominion of Kad V was simple: reconnaissance. With her military acumen still intact, the Marauder of Korriban's objective was to find out how big the Fel's had got, why they were present in the Kad system and to garner more information on their key players. For example, the Sith equivalent of the Fel Imperator in Ronin Fel was the Sith Emperor Kaine Zambrano. Finding out more information about Ronin and the other members of the Fel Imperium would be a step closer to vanquishing them from Sith space; and later, the galaxy.

She choose the Taral-class because of it's speed. Her mission was clandestine and she did not want the Fel to know that she was there or who she represented. If all want to plan, then she would be an unknown entity during the Fel's campaign over Kad V. In particular, Ayra wanted to know the answer to her question. "Why Kad V?" she murmured as she flew the fighter onto an asteroid and powered down it's engines and systems, except for it's life support. Eyes focused on the dashboard, she began a system wide scan, to determine how many ships were present, their class and so on. The first steps of a successful scouting mission.

"All batteries open fire!" Was the command given out by the Captain of the Rebirth before the light shaking of battery fire began to gently rock the ship. Streaks of greens and reds let up the void of space as the Rebirth's turbo lasers began to rain hell down upon the Sith fleet, who were caught unprepared by the Fel's arrival. The sheer amount of concentrated firepower from the Rebirth was enough to start rapidly draining the shields of a nearby Invictus E-class Star Destroyer. Whilst the Imperator's ship engaged the Sith Star Destroyer, his two Imperial II-Class Star Destroyers began to engage the rest of the fleet which consisted of another Star Destroyer and a couple of frigates.

Within moments of the battle beginning, the Sith Fleet began to return fire upon Ronin's fleet. The streaks of red impacted the Rebirth's shields as swarms of TIE fighters began to fill the emptiness of space. It was about this time that reports began to flood in through Ronin's communications link and he moved to answer them, "Commander, launch your squadron immediately to engage the Sith fighters." turning his comm off, Ronin looked to his dispatcher, "Be sure that all fighters in the fleet follow the lead of Commander Starcahser to counter their screen."

"It will be done, my liege." was the simple reply, before the comm buzzed with Animus's voice

"Animus, the base on that fragment has been there for quite sometime and there may be useful information on it. Do what you need to, but do try and prevent the loss of any vital knowledge."

All they needed was the go ahead. Recognziing that they had come out of hyperspace, Jared nodded. On top of that, he could hear the tell-tale clapping of the turbolaser batteries outside the Rebirth opening fire. Flying right into the heat of battle, there really was nothing better than that. Catching the enemy by surprise, and at least the capital ships were going to take the brunt of the assault, fighters were going to be the least of the worries.

Nodding at the order, he got to his squadron channel and started pushing his engines to full. “Let’s bring it to ‘em!” He wasn’t even going to touch the Red Knights, they were going to be doing their own thing, being actual Imperial Knights. The rest of the Space Wing was going to be his. “Blue group, we’re going to keep on the Reds tails, lets take it to the fighters. Green, stick close to the ships, anyone gets past us, you turn them to ash. Black, get those shield generators down!” Quick orders as he could hear the space wing powering up behind him. Fighters from the other ships could check in, he was in the Primary Space Wing, but the tasks were very similar. One group watching the ships, two engaging, and one taking it to the capital ships.

Grabbing the controls of his Artemis fighter, Jared was looking dead ahead, breathing and clearing his thoughts. Nothing to worry about aside from melting durasteel. Moving shields to the front, he checked the weapons systems once more. Green, just what he wanted to see.

As the Star Destroyer surged forth from the depths of Hyperspace, the Archmaster found himself standing at the Bridge; awaiting the commencement of the operation. There was not much to be said, for he was well aware of what his role was in this particular operation. There was a Sith Master overseeing the Sith Empire's operations on Kad V...and being that he was the leader of the Imperial Knights, Josiah was tasked with the job of taking him down. For those who were above the rank of Knight, there was no option of surrender, nor quarter; and Josiah had absolutely no problem with this. The Sith would perish, one by one, by the hands of the Fel Imperium! As typical, he was garbed in his traditional suit of Templar Armor and stood only a few paces away from the monarch of the Fel.

"Your grace, I'll be heading down at your command."

While the Archmaster stood on the bridge of the star destroyer, a small number of other Cadets and maybe a Knight or two, remained in the hangar bay awaiting further instruction. The entirety of Voroll’s internal organs felt as if they had just shifted forwards an inch or two as the vessel dropped back into realspace. Despite his tolerance of the jump, it had never been a pleasing experience for him. But not once did he ever say anything about it, just in case it was just him who felt it. For all he knew; he was the only person in the galaxy who felt like throwing up the last three days-worth of meals every time a ship dropped out of hyperspace.

Because of his inexperience with the Force and the Order of Imperial Knights, instead of wearing the cadet uniform acceptable in the Gardens of Roan, Voroll stood, fleshed out in the CQC variant of the Royal Stormtrooper armour that came standard for all the Stormtroopers in the Imperium. It was large and heavy, heavier than the original combat variant, but well-protected because of this.
The armour allowed him to carry both a blaster rifle and a vibrosword, both of which, he was told, would be needed for the mission at hand. He had little experience with wielding anything sharper than wooden sticks from childhood, but blasters were becoming a different matter.

Ronin nodded as Josiah's voice cut in through his comm, notifying him that he and his men were ready for deployment, "Perfect, Archmaster, deploy immediately and bring peace to this planet." was Ronin's reply as the Rebirth continued to fire upon the Sith ships that were defending the planet. The shields of his own ship were weakining and they still hadn't punched through the enemy's. "Reposition the ship and bring us in close to their port side, tell the Cloak of the Imperator to position on the other side of the Invictus-Class Star Destroyer."

"It will be done, my liege!" was the captains reply

"Confirmed. I'll save what I can."Animus said, rolling his neck slightly as he bounced up and down, a la boxer. He had boxed for a while in prison, nothing serious, but enough for him to remember how to warm up his muscles and mind for a fight. He glanced around the others in the shuttle, and then walked to the door. He hated doing this, but being sneaky, required some sacrifices. Besides, he worked better alone. He bent his knees, and grabbed the zipline, and jumped outward. He fell for a few moments, before he was violently jerked upwards, and then hung several feet above the ground. Coming down on the side of his leg, Animus rolled along the dark ground, outside a sentry post. They were all on high-alert, the few security guards that were there, and it didn't seem he was visible.

Coming up on the sentry, Animus flashed a grin before reaching for the knife on his collarbone, extracting the blade from it's sheath. Using one hand to grab the man by his mouth, or rather, where his mouth would be, because the jerk was wearing a helmet. Animus kicked his knee out, and stabbed him several times in the neck, collarbone, and chest, until the man stopped screaming, and slumped over. Animus pressed his knee on his neck, and broke it for safe measure. He patched into the comms to the Imperator.

"I'm on-site."

The ship was still moving into position for a broadside when Animus's report rang in through the comms and grabbed Ronin's attention "Good, make sure you get rid over any resisters quickly before they realize you are there and wipe their systems." was Roland's response before his ship took another hit and nearly tossed him to the floor, his officers yelping in surprise as they too were nearly bounced across the metallic plating. Ronin sighed, catching his balance on a nearby control console and looking over the Invicitus Star Destroyer that had just begun to be assaulted on its far side by one of Ronin's Imperial II-Class Star Destroyers. The Sith ship's shields began to flare once more as the turbo lasers from the opposing ship began to assault it and soon, Ronin's ship would also be pounding away at its protection.

ISD-II Outbreak
High Orbit, Kad V

And out from the depths of a metaphorical hell came the Outbreak. The Grand Admiral donned with his pristine white uniform broke through the blazing battle erupting already. His Star Destroyer ripped out of hyperspace to lurch alongside the Sith vessel, already being decimated by the combined Fel forces in the area. "Launch all fighters and prepare boarding parties! Target their main batteries and disable core systems!"

After a short speech to his soldiers, the Executor of the Army boarded one of the Hades-Class Gunships that would transport him and his soldier to the planet. He was aboard the same ship as his Command squad. He was wearing a custom Guardian-class armor. He didn't plan on fighting, but he wanted to be ready for anything. After all he loved the simple soldier life and it would also inspire the soldiers to see their leader fight with them.

Meta's gunship flew down towards the planet below. The gunship ripped through the atmosphere; no AA guns in site. The gunship blasted through the air; several gunships followed behind quickly. All four gunships dropped simultaneously and several heavies and commando's fell in behind Meta. His orange lightsaber springing to life as he launched forward into the fray. Many stormtroopers stood metres ahead, turning on their heels as the gunship began to set them ablaze. Several sith apprentices lay ahead, igniting their blades. Meta smiled, charging forward with his orange blade in hand.

As the Rebirth open fired upon the Sith vessel, Davin's fleet moved from hyperspace and began to launch fighters that began to join the swarm of metal that already were locked in combat with the Sith TIEs. Ronin quickly turned to his comm as the Rebirth and the Cloak of the Imperator rained hell down upon the Invicitus-Class Star Destroyer and began to weaken its shields "Grand Admiral, put down this Sith ship's shields and prepare your Ion cannons to disable it for boarding."

The little Star Destroyer was getting rocked by the entire Fel Imperium fleet converging on it. Already, Davin's starfighters and heavy ion cannons coupled with turbolasers began to knock out the key points that he'd ordered. Precise cannon fire decimated the Invictus-class's starboard shields and point defense weaponry. "Begin boarding operations! Hit their hangar bay and spread outwards!"

And with that, dozens of Hades-class gunships launched off into the hangar of the Invictus-class, many of them being potmarked by defending turbolaser fire that was still active.

Charging forward into the sith apprentices, their attacks were flawed and clumsy. With a mix of force speed and Djem So, Meta swiftfully parried, and counter attacked the apprentices ahead. Deflecting the first blade and cutting through his defences, Meta's blade cut through the soft unprotected clothing and skin of the sith apprentice. "Ha!" Then, deflecting another blade. The blade was knocked back out of his hand. Meta grab his throat, snapping it in his hands he threw the body into the third apprentice. He impaled the body with his own blade and gave Meta the opening he needed, decapitating the sith and taking his head from his shoulders. The Commando's and Heavies stood silent, they knew not to interfere. Meta nodded to them, and they pressed onward. Again and again cutting through the enemy lines.

And they were boarding the vessel itself, someone that was extremely cautious in the beginning. The intelligence reports depicted such a vessel containing a Sith Lord, which was either here on this particular vessel or somewhere on the planet. Be that as it may, it was time to show off his gained skills as an Imperial Cadet. "Captain Nuvan, you're in command of the Outbreak, assemble my personal guard and prepare my gunship."
"Aye sir!"
