Where Valor Sleeps

The visit of her once mysterious friend [member=Tamara] had been a surprise. However, experiences had been made since the first time Satara met the girl for the first time and now she felt like she understood the cryptic female a little better. That didn't change the fact that when she arrived at her doorstep asking her for her help didn't come as a surprise to the Witch.

What Satara understood that someone called [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] had her life in danger and whether she would be saved or not hung in the balance still opting another to invite all healers and medic-capable people to come and help her. Of course, this was an odd request with one suddenly appearing on her own doorstep again and another in mortal danger. But somehow, Satara had developed a bond with her new friend following their experiences. She didn't think the former slave would harm her any way nor would she steer her into any kind of trap. Why did she feel all that? Only Allya knew.

Now being informed by the intercom that they were beginning their descent, Satara glanced through the window to view the planet they were landing on. Kaeshana, as they called it, was most peculiar to the Witch. She had visited planets before but never what she was seeing bellow them now. All that water and yet the land was all somehow connected. "Dho!" The exclamation of surprise accidentally left her mouth at the sight of it all, after which she remained quiet, continuing to watch as the ship continued to lower itself.

From behind Satara came a chuckle.
"Indeed. Kaeshana never loses its beauty," Tamara said softly. "Come, we're expected."

The tale of how the wanderer had found Satara and how she had come across the message asking for aid was one both obscure and fantastic. Suffice to say that Tamara happened to be on Dathomir when she heard the news and had then gone to Satara. The other woman was a friend and a skilled healer. She was the perfect choice.

They were admitted through to the sick bed...or capsule as it was...and looked down on Siobhan. "She is a great woman...I hope you can do something, Satara."

The poorly timed joke from HK recieved a glare for the former Mand'alor, but she offered nothing else in response. So Siobhan had done what fools like them did; She'd taken the bait probably knowing it was likely to be a trap and let arrogance get the better of them. She should have called someone, she shouldn't have gone in alone. For some time, she said nothing she simply watched her friends face. She seemed so serene, so tranquil. She cleared her throat and looked up. "The sanctum have some good healers in their midst, you might find some help there."

She looked back down at Siobhan. "Can you give me the location of the station?" She couldn't help Siobhan here, she was not a healer, but what she could do was make sure that when she woke up, she'd got all the pieces together and was on the track to make sure she'd could get whatever vengeance she was seeking. This time, she would not be doing it alone. "I can't help you here, but I can and will find the sith. Dead or alive."

@Everyone (too lazy to tag)

"I could help Miss Monroe." Sarge said, hefting the helmet in his hand to place back over his head so that he could return to being the Jedi known as Preacher. That was all he really had to say on the matter. Conversation at a time like this was always stilted and awkward for him.

[member="HK-36"], [member="Hecate"], [member="Delila Castillon"], [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"], [member="Ordo"], [member="Rianna Ordo"], [member="Sarge Potteiger"], [member="Mia Monroe"], [member="Maya Whitelight"], [member="Satara Hawk"]

Tegaea looked at Mia and Sarge, nodded in satisfaction. Two of the most formidable warriors in the entire galaxy, combined with others she were hoping would come to Kaeshana and her own circle, was a powerful union. Whereas Siobhan Kerrigan might have fallen, now there would be at least two Force Masters and others on the hunt.
“From what Tempest, that’s Siobhan’s apprentice, told me, the station was above Gromas. Darth Shadow is the Sith’s name, and he has been her enemy for years now. His power is considerable, but he is even more a Master of lies and misdirection.”

Looking at them both squarely, she went on. “I would never normally ask anyone for revenge, or to kill another being without mercy, but I want this Sith coward dead. I want all his people dead. If my wife never wakes up, I want her to be able to eventually rest knowing that she did not suffer in vain. If you destroy him, or bring proof that he is dead, I will reward you both with whatever I have. I cannot face a Sith Lord, but you two can and have. Please bring me justice for my wife and all the others he’s killed.”

The arrival of Satara was welcome, Tamara probably less so.
“Now, my learned doctors and sages, please examine her and tell me what can be done.”

The scans were not encouraging. Eight broken or fractured bones, including a leg and several ribs. Soft tissue trauma was rife, along with burning and cuts. Frostbite on the areas exposed to vacuum was severe, and both her mechanical eye and hand were severely damaged. Internally the lungs and brain had suffered terribly from oxygen deprivation, and the heart had been severely tested by trying to pump blood with such injuries.
In short it was a miracle she lived…but could even these doctors and healers keep it so?

HK-36 Delila Castillon Siobhan Kerrigan [member="Tegaea Alcori"]

Hecate didn't have much to say or offer in the way of help anymore, all she could do was be there it seemed. She watched as others arrived and made their way in, many she did not know, but who she hoped were just exactly the sort of people needed to handle this situation. It seemed like that hope wasn't quite in vain thankfully, as Tegaea appeared to be saying that at least two of the new arrivals were force masters on par with Siobhan and whoever had done this to now comatose woman. The Echani was hoping it wouldn't come to avenging Siobhan's death to give her rest, but the white haired woman certainly wasn't against them paying back the bastards responsible anyway.

When Firemane's President called the healers and doctors forward Hecate slid more towards the back away from where everyone would likely try to squeeze in and gather to do their work. Truly she wished there was something else she could do, she hoped that just being there was enough somehow. For the time being it all appeared to lay in the hands of those with the skill necessary in healing and medicine. The Echani woman wished she knew who best to pray to for her Mistress' and teacher's safe return from this tragedy.

Flowing into the room in her sliver robes of her. There had been a special plead that had went out. Being the healer she had been called by the force she answer. Hoping that when she got there would be other healers that knew had worked with before. Just with her reading the report knowing this was going to be the simple walk in the park. One that would be a fool to think this would take all her strength to heal with young lady.

Pouring out her own empathy as she enter the room. Feeling the emotions of the room as she let her own emotions flow of nothing but peace and hope. Would want nothing more then to make this work out for the best in every concerned.

Greetings loves, I"m Healer Whitelight of the Silver Order, I want you to know I will do everything in my powers in the force to heal this young lady. , with what pour out of her she step by each in the room give them a soft kiss on their cheeks in a form of a greeting of others.

HK did not stick around for the conversation, as the writer's lack of response would presume, as Siobhan was moved into the surgery area he only looked to [member="Mia Monroe"] and by extend [member="Sarge Potteiger"],

"I will need you here to help Sio recover, actually, you may not be able to heal the body but there is incorporeal component to this as well, I need you to speak to her mind, keep her at ease and fighting. Do not leave her in darkness."

The droid nodded, although he did not knew Sarge was Force Sensitive now, HK had no means of sensing that nor did he kept up with the updates about Sarge's personal life on Spacebook, he just made an account there to play Space Farmville, Sarge would probable be able to provide similar support.

Anyhoo, before long HK was gone as well, and he would find himself in the surgery preparation room with the medics he brought along with himself, they were stripped from their armor, their tunics and robes underneath were replaced with the pristine clean surgical garments, the medics were washing their hands, making small talk and discussing technical details of the procedure as the droid, stripped from additional armor and garments as well, was placed in the sanitation shower, the jets of hot water and soap splashed him, his hands outstretched, as attendees scrubbed him with special brushes to clean him from any germs that can infect the recovering Sio.

Finally it was time to begin, by then Delila would have time to spend time with Sio alone and she was moved to the operation room, others would be given the chance to spectate the operation, and the droid and his medical crew would enter the room, covered in the sanitary surgical garments.

HK did a quick scan of Sio's partially frozen and beaten body, he looked to a nearby company nurse,

"Scalpel."

The nurse nodded and handed him the tool, he would move his hand to Sio's torso,

"Making initial incision."

He announced, beginning the operation.

The writer did not saw [member="Maya Whitelight"]'s post at the time of writing this, but if she would hurry up with those kisses, which apparently skipped HK because he was prepping for surgery, she would have time to join the operation.

"Tell me, how often have you thought of this day, Sio? I recall it took a while to get over. Drowned in whiskey bottles, spice shots, conquests. It's funny. These days you charge blindly into every skirmish, thinking yourself invincible. Back then you were...running away. Have you ever wondered whether it might've been better if you'd be the one to die?"

Great-cthulhu.jpg

Siobhan was on Manaan again on that fateful, terrible day. Ahto City was trembling, inexorably sliding into the ocean. Buildings were falling, people were screaming, there was death everywhere. This time there were no miracles, no hidden superweapons that could turn the tide and halt the onslaught. There was just her and her teacher, Adril Tythorin, as the monster arose from the depths with a bellow that was strong enough to level entire buildings.

For all her flaws, and there had been many, though they probably paled in comparison to Siobhan's, Adril, Eldorai Jedi Knight, had been no coward. Now though, facing this monster, she trembled. The spectral apparation of Siobhan looked visibly pained as she beheld the sight, powerless to intervene and condemned to live through it all again.

"Adril...why make me relive this again?! Why torment me like this? I know she should've lived...not me..."

"I am not making you relive anything. All this is...you. Imagine if you'd been...less useless back then. I mean, let's be honest, most of the time you were just a burden. Well, that and a good lay. Maybe now you could beat it and she'd be alive. Then again, now you excel in getting your own people killed."

"Adril...I love...no matter what happens...I always will!" past!Siobhan said, her voice almost cracking.

"Thank you, Siobhan. I love you too. I always knew we would be together until the end. Do well, my little human...it's been a pleasure. Don't miss me too much!" And then Adril had charged off to slay the monster, unleashing a firestorm greater than any she had ever conjured up, becoming the fury and wrath of Ashira personified. The explosion was cataclysmic as she charged into the maw of the beast, destroying it and sending it back to the abyss from where it had come...and her as well.

Past!Siobhan just kept running until she had reached a transport, the last one to escape before the city sunk into the ocean. The present, spectral one hung her head, though she refused to avert her eyes from the gruesome spectacle. Pain was etched across her features. "I could've..."

"Stopped it if you'd been less useless? Probably. Then again she might've died anyway. To be honest I never understood why you kept chasing after her. She barely ever noticed you. I don't blame her."

"Don't you dare speak her of like that! She was a hero." The blast of pure, unrelenting hatred that Siobhan tried to shoot forth was, as before, ineffectual. The black-eyed one simply dissipated it with a casual wave of her hand, looking completely and thoroughly bored.

"Every step you go, you still keep her on her pedestal. You go from one mistress to worship to the other. Well, I guess it helped because otherwise you'd have been court-martialled after Roche if Tegsy had not been holding your hand. You've murdered in cold blood, abandoned the light, failed everyone that mattered to you. And yet you think she's watching over you?"

"Just shut up! You're wrong...about her. Adril loved me. I'm her legacy. She died so that I might live. I've tried to live up to her example. She's proud of me." Her voice was like a force bellow and blossomoned into a shockwave. The ground warped, the air twisted into strange shapes, the debris that lay all around simply ceased to exist and was atomised, splintering into thousands of pieces. The shape, needless to say, was utterly unimpressed.

"An apparition conjured up by our fractured mind told you that? Why would anyone watch over a failure like you? After all, you're stuck in the dreamlands, on the brink of death, arguing with yourself. Maybe you don't want to wake up."

The signals on the machine that was keeping her alive were getting rather...erratic and discouraging. Even before the thread of life had been so tenuous that it could barely be registered by the machinery. Things were not looking that well at present...

For those not wanting to see a 4th wall shattering meta fest...ignore this post. Chickens.
Time for Kally!

So, good readers, you might think this thread couldn’t get any weirder. What with Siobhan’s writer posting long internal arguments and Tegs’ writer talking to themselves through alts half the time. Though, apparently we’re all alts of Cira.

Anyway, so I’m Kalinai Soluza, Empress of the Universe. And this is my pet rock Rocky XXIX. Say hello, Rocky!
“…”
He’s a little shy.

So what am I even doing here? Well apparently I have vision sequences in my contract, so this’ll do. Anything to avoid ending up on SC….

So anyway, yes, why am I posting here? Well, I’m glad you asked! I’m here to save Siobhan Kerrigan’s life! Boo hiss, I know. But someone’s gotta do it! Well, mainly all those cool healer type people will do the actual healing and stuff, I’m here to deliver some home truths to the shade of Ms Kerrigan.

So it’s awful dark in here, more emo than a hipster convention. Trust me, you don’t wanna go to those. On the plus side most of them don’t show up because it’s too mainstream.

Anyway, so there’s that dark shade tormenting Sibby. I’m guessing that’s the writer laying into Siobhan. I can sympathise with that. My writer whines about whoever their main character is at the time. It’s all ‘I can’t get into them’ and ‘I’m just going to promote myself to Master’ and so on. Well suck it down, Princess! I earned my Elite rank on THE SITE THAT SHALL NOT BE MENTIONED, so you can (wo)man up and earn Master here!
…Anyway, so like Siobhan’s in her ’woe is me’ phase. Understandable I guess. So I’m like;
“Yo, Siobhan! Listen to me, girl, your wife isn’t dead, Tempest’s fine, and I bought a porpoise!”
Hmm, spoilers I guess.

The Dancing Thranta moved quickly through the cold of space she was not getting updates at this point as there was an issue with security. This Rianna could understand someone who wanted to find a vulnerability could very well use this time to do so. She looked over to Ordo the intent look on his face he was thinking about his friend. In a galaxy where one did not now what could happen from one moment to the next the people that they could count as friends were few in number. The thought of losing one often made them sober and think of their own mortality, their own time and how it was spent.

Rianna wished she had more information, but within the amount of time it would take they were soon nearing their destination. As they announced their intent to land, and identified themselves Rianna could sense tension, apprehension. This was a group gathering for a vigil, and support.

Without thinking from her seat she reached over and touched Ordo's arm, the emotions were so strong they radiated outward they washed over Rianna. She needed Ordo's strength to move through it.

"Jas'ika there is much pain here" Rianna hoped in some way she would be able to ease some of this pain.

With out speaking any other words as a nurse brought word to her in her ear that everyone was washing up. It was that wrong turn she took back on twin peaks back there a few miles. Coming into the prepping room. As quickly as she could taking off her layers of robes to get into the scrubs something she wasn't use to. Being from the battle field she been through already this was a very different environment that she being placed in.[SIZE=13.63636302948px] Following all the scrubs up before she put on her mask. After all as she make sure all her hair was under her cap, putting on her cutie little booties. [/SIZE] Making sure to wash up with the the soap and scrub brushes.

Looking still at the doors that would take her into operating room. Pushing the swing door with her hip as she step in with her glove hands in the air. Until she got to the table looking down at the young lady. Then only then she feel all her pain, wanting to reach out to her mind to smooth it. Would need that in the coming weeks and months. For now she need to be in the here and now.

Not saying a word but three simple words as she took her place around the table. Reporting as order.

The droid snapped the fingers of his free hand at the healers as she came in,

"Let me see the fingernails of your hands first before you will start spreading Jedi germs all over the patient."

The droid quipped, leaning slightly closer for the inspection, his hand still working, as if independently from the rest of his body, he has currently opened up Sio's torso to begin repairing internal damage like organs, broken bones, severed veins, good stuff like that.

"Are you able to restore dead flesh like the frostbites she has suffered?"

HK would ask, glancing up into Maya's eyes.

"Setting the bone."

He has announced to the group as a snap was heard, congratulations one of [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]'s bones was back in its place, the pain of the experience was dulled by the mask the Colonel would wore over her head, gas bacta and anesthesia were pumped through the tube into it to let her inhale the mixture.

Kaida excused herself and went back to overseeing security things in the hospital, since it would be bad if say vampires or Sith suddenly quantum tunnelled into it and magically bypassed all planetary defences. Besides, while she was here to help she was not THAT much a friend of Kerrigan and she could not usefully contribute to the medical operation anyway.

If she had known about the emofest in Kerrigan's head she would have told the woman to stop whining and grow the feth up at last. Admittedly that might have been a bit hypocritical of her, but stil. But then she was in the dark about the fact that the former so called 'Sword of the Protectorate' was a total whimp. She got herself a cub of starcaf for what was probably going to be a long day.

The dark shade tormenting Siobhan may or may not be partially a manifestation of this writer's intense dislike of her. A pertinent question may be why this writer has kept her around for so long given their sentiments towards her - or why they have not tried to make her less odious to them. However, this is supposed to be an actual quality post and not yet rant on part of this writer on why they hate her.

Anyhow, it was interesting to note that Tegaea was the one being strong and taking charge. If their position were reversed one could not shake off the feeling that Siobhan would simply fall apart or go on a mad death charge, with predictable results.

In the dreamlands the self-flagellation session was rudely interrupted when Kalinai burst in. As for location, they were in a certain alley on Nar Shaddaa again. Incidentally the one where Adril had saved her from a couple of thugs and just started her on her to become a Jedi. An admittedly rather lousy one. How Kalinai had gotten here was another question entirely, but the space magic is strong as is the meta. For a moment Siobhan was pulled back from her angsty masochism and pain, confusion evident over her features. "Kal....what are you doing here? Shadow said you were in league with him!" she cried out. "Tegs...is alive?" her voice almost cracked as she spoke.

Giving him this look of disbelieving, Are you just a bright one there? , rolling with the other part as she stuck her hand up into his face real close like. See enough I bet mine are.... she closed her lips wasn't going to get into even more trouble then she already was in. Beside why should she want to reason with a droid. Didn't come here to get into a tongue war with anyone like of him.

Then the question came could she heal someone with frostbite that was something she hadn't ran across yet. Could she will could try at less. Knowing the bases of what need to be done to bring cells back to life as until. Yes, the truth is that it going to take a while, this very complex healing your asking for me to under take lots of energy.

"Well that is what I need you to do."

The droid would turn back to work on Siobhan's internal damage,

"I cannot bring back frostbitten flesh, I can only remove it, everything else I can heal with bacta, without the use of the Force, if you will have any energy left after the procedure then we will talk about healing damage veins."

HK would glance to Maya once more,

"You can begin."

And with that he would go back to focusing on fixing Siobhan's gooey filling as more bones were moved around and gently placed into their correct position. That would take a bit before he would move into fixing Sio's muscles, veins, and organs, the operation was accompanied by the ever-present calm beeping of her life support and heart monitor, so far her condition was stable, hopefully that would not change.

Mia was surprised at HK's request for her to stay, she cast a sideways glance at the man she knew as Preacher. Unsure of how to address him, she merely nodded in his direction before replying to HK. "I'm not sure if I'm the best person for that. I'm...umm...I'm not good with..." She could feel her anxiety levels increase as the group set to work operating on her.

She slipped outside, unable to watch. Her own dakr memories of a close encounter with a scalpel flashing through her mind. She ran a hand through her hair, and began breathing exercises to calm herself. Her back found the wall opposite the door to the theatre and she slid down it and stared at her hands, opening and closing them slowly. She needed to do something, maybe she could find some information on the station without going to far and see what she could do to help once the nasty work was over.

So far no quantum tunneling Sith, energy vampires or space orks had shown up. However, the hospital had become a veritable beacon for all sorts of people. Miscellaneous well wishers, prophets and fangirls had shown up and been turned away. The fangirls had been particularly troublesome since apparently they were split into sects which waged all sorts of flame wars over the 'net, which could get quite nasty. There had also been a group called the Cult of the War Queen that supposedly represented a tribe of Dahomey Amazons and wanted to deliver...'offerings' to their idol.

Lady Kerrigan would probably never know just how popular she really was! In addition to this, a ridiculously costumed ninja fellow called Kai Leng had shown up. He had made a number of silly poses, which presumably were part of a ritual to summon the awesome power of handwavium, and swung a katana around before Kaida got annoyed and froze it, whereupon he ran away.

With Angelii and heavily armed Firemane guards positioned acrosss the compound and word having been received that the Ashira's Wrath had returned from refit and would be taking up a sentinel position in orbit, Kaida had a bit of a break and made her round across the corridor adjacent to the operating room, still clad in her armour, her lightsabre and sarix both within reach if needed. It was there that she came across the imposing Mandalorian woman from earlier.

"Not one for watching the gorey stuff? Can't say I blame you. Mia Monroe, isn't it?" she asked as she stopped by. Kerrigan had mentioned the name in passing and spoken very highly of her.

Tegaea too had left the operating theatre. She was and had been a soldier for half her life, but she didn’t have much place for surgery. And whilst she was used to seeing more of her wife than most others, that usually didn’t extend to the bits inside her…or at least the internal organs anyway!

She found Kaida Taldir and Mia Monroe outside and she sat down beside the former Mandalore. She knew in basic terms what had happened to the other woman, it was something they shared. They were both marked by evil, scarred by Sith and still haunted by the memory of scalpels.
As for Kaida, she didn’t mind the Eldorai. She was one of the ones who knew most of the truth about her people, so that meant she was not as self-righteously pompous as most of the others.

“Hey, you alright? You know, if you ever need to talk…I’m here. We both have something in common at least, a present from a Sith,” she told Mia, pointing to her barely noticeable mechanical eye. It was perhaps silly to expect that the former Mandalore would need to confide in anyone…but anything to pass the time.
Up at Kaida she smiled. “You’re doing a good job, Ms Taldir. I’m glad to have you here.”
She was not one to give our fulsome praise easily, but perhaps it was the stress of waiting for the healers to do their work…trying to find something, anything to keep her occupied.
