Re: Bounty Hunting; it can also be illegal if your target retreats someplace that disallows bounty hunts/surety bond enforcement and then you decide to apprehend anyway. Also, it is important to check in with the local Bounty Hunter Guild (assuming you're registered) so that they may contact local law enforcement on your behalf, supply needed credentials, talk to the local constable, etc. Hunting without prior notice can be a statutory offense in certain jurisdictions.

Of course if you're carrying out a contract hit on somebody, none of this matters. Because if you're not actually trying to collect on a legal bounty, you're an assassin at that point. Fortunately I do both. I work both sides of the law, though the main bread and butter is legal contracts through the Bounty Hunter's Guild.
