Welcome to the Confederacy [New Confederates]

Riley turned her attention to the woman who had just woken up. She recognized the woman as Madalena, the same one who brought them here. That put a damper on some of the theories that she was the one trapped here, unless this was part of her plan. Which if it was, then it was a good attempt at throwing them off guard.

She went and stood beside Iapo as she answered the Madalena's question as to where they were. Riley scanned Madalena with her black and green cybernetic eyes, as if trying to see deep into the woman's mind. "We seem to be underground. How we got here are how long we've been out, I cannot say." *She paused for a moment, eyes going to each individual in the room before falling on Madalena again. "What's the last thing you remember before waking up here?"

It took a bit, and it still seemed as though whatever concoction the Confederacy had cooked up to knock them all out was taking a larger effect on Alden than it had the others. The strange thing, though, was that it had apparently affected the mechanical creation that identified itself as ‘STaCLO.’ What kind of otherworldly recipe was this?

He stretched, raising his arms above his head and let loose a long yawn. The drowsiness was still holding on strong, no matter what he attempted in order to shake it. So, it seemed he would have to push on in his impeded state. Would he be able to think clearly when he needed to? Probably not. There was no use is even asking the question of whether or not his reactions would be as quick as they normally were, so let’s hope there wouldn’t be a moment where he’d necessarily need them to save his life. Perhaps he’d simply need to rely of these others that were trapped here with him.

He looked around again, taking in as much of the room and its occupants as he was able. It seemed the latest member among them was finally beginning to stir. His gaze had fallen to Madalena who just now began to regain consciousness. Very peculiar that all of this was happening, and there was no explanation behind it. Alden could only think that this was either a test of some kind or that the CIS had been infiltrated and the lot of them were being held prisoner. Interrogations to follow, perhaps?

He shrugged and knelt down next to Madalena, offering his hand to help her to his feet. “Are you alright?” There was actually a genuine concern behind his words as he looked to her. “It seems the last any of us can remember is climbing into that elevator before it all faded to black and we began waking up here.” He sighed. “Wherever ‘here’ is.”

Araya didn't seem to have any answers yet. Everyone of the sleeping people had started to wake and were now as she was, questioning how they all got here and why. Kasca didn't like the feeling of not knowing. It ate at her scientific mind. One after another, she tried the doors.

You are locked in here with this riff raff. They will get you killed.
No need to wait for them to start figuring this out, use your brain.
Ugh! She has no brain. Why do you always expect the best in her?
Why do you always expect the worst?
Why don't you both go bicker in the back of her mind?

Kasca stopped checking the door she was currently at and brought her hand to her head. The voices, unable to be heard by anyone but [member="Darth Metus"], were always in her mind but didn't always speak. When they got in this bickering mode though, they quickly led to headache and a short temper. She brushed her fingers through her hair, stimulating the scalp and releasing endorphins to counteract the potential headache. Then, she mentally told them to hush and went back to trying doors.

"Anyone want to check out the table of food? Maybe there is a note or something?" Her stomach growled but she ignored it. The food could be poisoned. Whomever had the ability to gas all of the people in this room including the droid, had an extraordinary ability with chemistry. She respected that and even envied it, wanting to know what was used and how it was constructed on a molecular level, but she also knew that such a person or persons could easily have poisoned the food.

Wise girl. Stupid girl.
Shouldn't have gotten trapped in the first place. What would your precious Master think?
Will he drop you like a bad habit now, or is he to ignorant and cowardly to do that to a pretty girl?

"Anyone want to check out the table of food? Maybe there is a note or something?"
Iapo nodded and walked towards the table. It sounded like a sound enough proposal and more importantly, it gave her an excuse to distance herself from the tense discussion. Being stuck with a bunch of people she did not know in a closed room was pretty much like her own worst-case scenario.

The table was covered in several different kinds of food: fruits and vegetables and several simple dishes. However, she did notice something wish made her turn back to the group with concern.
"Guys, the food here, it's really not that much. We're nine, and the food here, it will only last us for a day, two if we ration it, and that's only if it isn't poisoned. But the worst: no water. No juice. No alcohol. Nothing. I don't want to be overly dramatic here, but if we don't find a way out most of us will be dead in a few days."

She looked back to the table and sighed. Most of the food was ( intentionally?) dry: cereals with radishes, grilled meat, breads. Nothing they could extract any kind of significant amount of liquid from. Iapo looked around dully at the people she'd thought only a few hours ago in the elevator ( was it really only a few hours?) that she might become friend with. How long before they became desperate enough to view each other not as potential allies but as potential meals.

She looked down at the slight curve of her thigh and wondered distractedly if 'young half-devaronian' would sound like an appealing treat to the cat-lady she'd talked to before. She'd probably taste disgusting she thought with dark satisfaction, her Devaronian heritage made her blood toxic to many species and probably uneatable to the rest.
She shook her head. Better interrupt her morbid thought-process, they needed optimism and motivated problem-solving...
Instead, Iapo tried to think of a few things to try but most were almost certainly doomed to fail: she could check were the cables which provided the lights with energy led, hoping for a weakness in the outer wall of the room, but then what? Tinker till death took her? They could detach the panels which formed the ceiling but a room that well-reinforced would probably be reinforced on all sides, including the top. The young engineer shook her head, these were very unlikely solutions...

The mood around the room was only plummeting further and further so she tried once again to see if they'de missed something that could lead them forward.
"Honestly does anyone have any kind of clue of why we're here, how we got here and even where "here" is?" she asked in a voice that sounded awkwardly stuck between overly cheerful and unmotivated.

Riley turned her attention to [member="Iapo Sim"] when she mentioned the food on the table. She was right, there wasn't enough food to last for more then a day or two. She stepped up to the table next to Iapo and took stock of what food they had. Even if the food was poisoned they still faced the problem of dehydration.

The half-devaronian was right though, they needed to get out. Riley had an idea, a long stretch of an idea, but one all the same. She pulled out a tracking device and held it up for Iapo to see. "The how and why can wait. For how we should figure out the where. I have a tracking device on my ship, unfortunately I can't get a good signal. If we find a way to boost the signal, then maybe we can see how far we traveled since getting here. Might make it easier to find a way out."
