As the response to his call for help came, Aryn sucked in a breath. The Alliance forces would take time to arrive, but at least they were on their way, and would get there eventually. As the rumbling began, though, Aryn wondered if they would get there in time. It began with a pause in the fighting, the artillery barrage halted and a break in the waves of Sithspawn had given the 26th at least a short period of time to readjust and set up their heavy weapons. The next wave was immense as they began to form into view at the end of the long streets stretching out from around the Imperial Citadel. As Aryn stared down the immensity of the horde that was drawing closer, he knew the 26th wouldn't last through it, not as it was.
He thought quickly, his eyes drawing over the terrain surrounding them. The 26th lacked enough heavy weapons to take down the swarm to even a remotely manageable number conventionally. It only took Aryn a few moments before he had a plan in mind. "Fire at the base of the buildings!" The heavy weapons fired almost instantly, rockets streaming across and over the charging sithspawn as the supports at the base of many of the buildings exploded. With the tremors caused by the charging behemoths along with the damage, it wasn't long before the buildings began to crumble and crash down onto the horde, plenty had already gotten through but the majority of the horde and those still coming wouldn't get through for at least some time as the rest of the 26th began opening fire on the swarm.
One Behemoth had managed to get through, charging through the body of the horde itself as it drew nearer and nearer. Blasters and rockets hit but seemed to have minimal effect as it threw its own allied sithspawn aside, and Aryn could tell well enough the massive beast would tear straight through his men. Stepping up, Aryn met the creature just before it reached the line, holding up his hands as he let the force flow through him. He drew it in from the world around him, channeling it through his body as it flooded out towards the Behemoth. The creature reached him, and Aryn saw as the two scythes began to close onto him. Just before they reached however, they halted, as did the creature entirely.
The Behemoth kicked and pushed its legs against the ground, trying to push forward but it was held still, the force raging through Aryn as the front of the beast slowly began to lift. As it did, the scythes continued to close, further and further before they extended beyond each other, pushing along before the blades met the chitinous exoskeleton of the beast. Focusing intensely, Aryn drew on the greatest strength he could draw as he crossed his arms in front of himself, the scythes suddenly and violently pressing against the Behemoth as its massive head was split from its body, the husk of the immense creature collapsing in a mound of chitin, bone and flesh.
