Exactly. Politics aren't that often discussed, so having a subforum for that isn't really needed in my opinion.

Political discussions (and worse yet, forums) are poison to a site's OOC community. This ain't the craftshop. I highly doubt Tef's going to put one in.

If you want to see the effects of adding a purely political subforum to a mainstream community, then put in a Swedish Socialist, a modern day American Skinhead, and a college age liberal yuppie in the same room and you'll see first hand how it's gonna end. Containing it to a single thread is a bit too much as is frankly, but I'm too much of a sucker to stop replying.

I have always tried to ingore any political discussions in forums and not only because of the fact that they ruin forums, but also because politics and RPing don't go too well together. I came here for the fun, I want it to be fun. Politics is more serious.
Thus, I don't support discussing real life politics in RP forums.

Seriously, though. Talking politics just sucks everywhere. Not just on internet forums. I'm like one of 5 liberals in a 25 mile radius. The majority are conservative christians. Who turned super conservaticve after Obama came into office.
If you need me to spell it out, I'm calling my community racist. These are the douchebags that the Tea Party attract. And the Ku Klux Klan.
Srsly. Indiana has a staggeringly high amount of KKK Hoosier membership and upper club leadership for a Union state. Not that there's anything wrong with a majority of Southern culture. Racism is just a touch more accepted.
Anyway, I went over to my dad's house yesterday, and he turns on Fox News and we start talking about Furgeson, MO. Please note, my father claimed to be a democrat and has such renounced the party since Obama's second term.
Not calling my dad a racist. But, yeah. He's kind of racist.
Anyway, he is getting furious with me. But, that's how we get talking politics. Not even fifteen minutes before that, we were laughing, carrying on about life, women we should have smashed when we had the chance, shouldn't have smashed but we did, and those glorious women we did.
So, you're probably better off asking for a forum dedicated to bait and troll threads.
For example, in your America, we were warned blah blah sit and spin thread, someone legitimately wrote, "I don't feel like arguing with you, but you're wrong."
I think the majority of interweb political discussion can be summed up. "Pardon me, sir or madame. I do not agree with the things you are saying, so instead of coming up with a cohesive counterpoint, I shall question your integrity by calling you a nazi. Then parade my ignorance by calling you a homosexual. And, the cherry on my shit sundae will be perversive descriptions of fictional relations with one of your family members. Probably your mother, as it's the safest bet. However, sister, aunt, and grandma are all on the table too."
