DESCRIPTION

The WC93 Medium Cruiser was designed as a heavier and larger model of the WC90 Light Cruiser after initial observations proved that the Light Cruiser was effective but did not meet the standards that the Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation wanted for the 90 Type Ship Line currently being launched. Overall Production and Design was handed over to the Mon Calamari Engineering Team that previously worked on the Light Cruiser Variant.

The WC93 Medium Cruiser comes equipped with standard armaments to fend off other cruisers currently in use within the galaxy. Although a weakness was apparent in the design in the form of a lack of weapons underneath the vessel to defend it from starfighters which could pose a considerable risk.

The overall shielding was decreased from Very High Standard to High Standard in order to make room for the additional armaments. The Hanger Space can hold 5 Squadrons of Starfighters and 2 Squadrons of Support Craft to handle any Group Operations that might occur.
