Wayward Children Privateering Company

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To represent the Wayward Children Privateering Company
  • Image Credit: Midjourney, prompted by me.
  • Role: Ship’s crew and deployable units.
  • Permissions: NA
  • Links: NA
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: The Wayward Children Privateering Company
  • Affiliation: Veylin Torque
  • Classification: Privateering Company
  • Description: Combat unit of men and women wearing green mercenary armor
COMBAT INFORMATION: The combination of Unit Size and Availability below is the indicator of how numerous your unit is. Stormtroopers for instance would be considered Large/Common, while Rogue Squadron would be a Small/Unique unit. Majority Force User Units are prohibited from being Common or Large. The stronger and more specialized your unit is (FU or NFU), the smaller and less common it should be.
  • Unit Size: Medium (60 total personnel at the time of this writing)
  • Unit Availability: Uncommon
    • The Wayward Children have worked together for some time, dating from their time working for the Hutts, and do not recruit just anyone. Replacements are infrequent because they need to feel they can trust someone before bringing them in.
  • Unit Experience: Veteran
    • Although they are not a conventionally trained group of soldiery or officers, their skillset has been gradually uplifted during years of service in Hutt space in various roles to the point that they are the equivalent of security veterans.
  • Equipment
  • Combat Function: The Wayward Children are trained starship crew who also deploy on boarding actions and limited ground combat operations as needed to accomplish their missions and collect their rewards.
  • Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): None
Strengths:
  • The Wayward Children are loyal to each other, almost as much a family as a privateering company.
  • The Wayward Children have on average at least ten years of experience in various fields, making them the equivalent of veterans.
Weaknesses:
  • The Wayward Children are slow to recruit replacement units, as they like to feel they know someone before bringing them in.
  • The Wayward Children are only equipped with moderate combat gear, have no vehicular support beyond their base ship, and have few ammunition reserves, so they are not suitable for highly intense or prolonged ground warfare.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Ex-employees of a Hutt on Torque, the Wayward Children conspired to steal a frigate and make a life for themselves in GA space. They have worked together for many years in the criminal cartels, and now have worked for a handful of years as privateers. Their experience is varied and deep, and they like each other and work reliably as a unit.
