A slight retooling of the Atin'la-class Heavy Cruiser, the Wasp-type is a powerful "pocket destroyer" type heavy cruiser. When compared to the original vessels, the Wasp-types have lost the Ablative armor that would help the original take more laser fire. While still tough, it is less durable. The other main change was that instead of a CST Central A.I. the Wasp-type features a Priddy General Engineering And Manufacturing PGEM-QKDm to function as an autopilot and security system, along with similarly allowing for less crew needs. At the same time, the system isn't as good as an organic pilot, and if hacked it could prove a security risk. Other than these differences though, the Wasp-type is near identical to the Atin'la-class. Heavy weapons, strong defense, and powerful drives; but having almost no fighter space, a limited rear firing arc, and few anti-fighter weapons.
