DESCRIPTION

Once 19th "Viper" Legion was established, they needed better weapons compared to those readily available in the open-market. Salazar kept finding for solutions as well as the whole legion kept their ears open for any potential blaster suited to their needs. It was made a rule that although the regiments were cross-trained, due to their specialization, they will have different sets of gears that would distinguish one regiment from another & the differences can only be spotted by the troopers of the Legion only.

After looking for sometime, no one was able to find a suitable rifle. Salazar then approached the
Canyon Defence Ltd. to make a modular rifle series which suited the needs of the Legion. After the R&D's brainstorming sessions that ran a month, they came up with the VX-series of rifles. These rifles were made by pressing 2 very thin layers of Alusteel acquired from an Executor-class Star Dreadnought which was bought by Canyon Innovations Ltd. while it was being sold as scrap because of the unrepairable damages it sustained, in between a similar thick layer of Trimantium. Every rifle in the VX-series was produced in limited numbers only to cater that specific regiment.

VX-3 was the third rifle to be introduced & it aptly represented the regiment. Like all the other rifles in the series, it had basic scope & underbarrel modifications. As the Marines specializes in urban combat & combat onboard starships, it required a carbine that can handle tight corners & turns in long or short corridors, and is compact, small. It also comes with a stock to change the length of the blaster carbine to match the trooper's body type. It comes with 2 types of magazine, one with 20 & another one with 30 bolts, & the 30-bolt magazine makes the blaster carbine a bit heavier to wield. Despite the odds, the VX-3 provides the Marines the flexibility they need in any urban situations.
