HISTORICAL INFORMATION

One day, when Salazar Niminen as a padawan was studying in the library on Silver Rest, he found a quotation in a book that said 3 Men Behind Enemy Lines Can Do More Than 100 In Front Of It. This quote stuck in his mind forever. When he was commissioned into the SDF, he saw all the Special Forces units were deployed in the front-lines and they had almost no sentient support as in terms of enemy number, battlefield situation or smart calculations. They relied on machines which made "Logical" choices which a lot many times made decisions without taking into variable humane factors in play.

So he started creaming out the whole list of potential candidates from the SDF. He looked for men with strong moral sense, high marksmanship, extreme will & most importantly - scholars; men who can learn and questions. He found out such men from the cadet list & active duty list. After gathering them, his first task was to give them knowledge. He gave them materials to study and for 2 years, the unit saw almost zero action in training rather than daily PT of 4 hours & they had to study for a total of 8 hours everyday on their craft, be it terrains, ships, technical knowledge, species, etc.

For another year, they trained on whatever they learned in the past 3 years on the field. After the 4 years of grueling training, they graduated as common scholars but yet had to prove their worth, so they travelled to different planets to study different crafts & they were provided with no support. This was necessary as to build their self-sufficiency. Working with different weather-control stations, companies, local navies, rebel organizations even manual labour forces to learn and gather anything they can to enhance their skill in their assigned craft. The main reason they don't focus much on weapon's training is because of a quotation Major General Niminen told them on their graduation ceremony - "There's A Difference Between Understanding A Tool & Relying On It. When You Understand, You Use It; When You Rely, It Uses You. Now It Is Upto You To Decide. What Do You Want". After 2 years serving on-field, they returned, not as soldiers, as helpers. Helpers, who were ready to give their SDF brethren the knowledge edge that they were lacking till now & relied on tools to do it for them.
