SPECIAL FEATURES
  • 30 mm Underbarrel
    • Multiple round types available
  • AP Cells can pierce most conventional armor, including vehicles
  • Grapple Canister allows for ascension of tall buildings (up to approximately 10 stories)
  • HE cells release an explosion similar in size to a thrown frag grenade
  • Energy Shield forms around the barrel, allowing the weapon to keep firing
  • EMP Shielding

STRENGTHS
  • Versatile Grenadier
  • Energy shield doesn’t impede shots
  • Multiple HE and AP explosives can be sent down range before reloading
  • Camera can give an aerial view of the battlefield
  • Rifle acts as a basic service weapon
  • Grapple round allows for vertical movement on the battlefield
  • Shielded against EMP attacks that would otherwise disable the weapon
  • AP rounds can pierce most armor

WEAKNESSES
  • Can only load one type of round in the 30mm at a time.
  • Shield doesn’t last as long as the alsatian battle rifle, making it impractical for shield formations
  • Shield is not EMP protected while active and can be shut down early by EMP attacks
  • A cut grapple line can lead to impromptu lessons in gravity
  • HE round has no timer, meaning it can literally blow up in the user’s face if it collides too close with an object
  • 30 mm rounds have a significant drop rate, giving them a max range of 400 meters.(accuracy not guaranteed)
    • AP round can go farther as its drop rate is significantly slower
  • Shield only protects from energy based attacks. Physical projectiles such as slugs will go through it.

DESCRIPTION
Designed to offer a light versatile option for grenadiers in the Armis Militia and customers of the VSF including the GADF, the Bushdog consists of two parts, a main battle rifle which shoots a relatively average round. While nothing special, the Bushdog rifle’s lack of exceptional advantages also comes with a lack of exceptional weaknesses.

The second part of the Bushdog comes in the 30 mm barrel attached under the main barrel. This 30 mm can is capable of carrying multiple types of round, each with its own specific use and purpose. These different rounds make the VSF Bushdog one of VSF’s most adaptable weapons, even with the company's focus on multi-use weaponry.

While the weapon does have mounting points for scopes, it comes equipped with a double holoscope, one which produces a simple red dot for use with the main barrel, and one which shows a ladder sight for use with the Gl function. These can be switched with a button found just above the under barrel.

AP Cells
The Bushdog’s AP energy canister fires up to three large bolts of stabilized plasma which contains a small core of unstable energy. This bolt is capable of piercing through most conventional armor, after which, the outer shell ruptures to unleash a small explosion. Designed for taking out armored targets, the armor penetrating Bushdog round is also good for putting down enemy heavy droids or larger species that might otherwise be able to shrug off a few normal blaster rounds. The AP round does have a slight arc, though nowhere near as much as other grenade rounds, falling at about half of the rate as most other rounds.

HE Cells
The Bushdog’s HE cells allow the 30 mm barrel to fire a large bolt of unstable plasma which explodes on contact in a wide area to blast apart enemies. Because of its arcing nature, the HE cells can be used as a short ranged mortar, arcing over enemy cover in a form of indirect fire.

Grapple Cannister
Containing a tightly coiled line and an internal spooling mechanism, the grapple canister fires a 21 meter ascension cable that can be used multiple times assuming the round’s canister is not damaged and the line is not cut. In the end of the line is a powerful electromagnetized hook to ensure there are multiple ways for it to connect to a surface.

30 mm Grenades
Mostly used to fire gas and smoke grenades, the 30 mm barrel does, of course shoot, 30 mm grenades. This function also allows VSF to produce new types of grenade to add to the weapon’s versatility as needed.

Camera Round
Fired in a 30 mm round, the camera releases a parachute upon raching the apex of its arc to slow its descent. It then faces down with a camera that can be linked to any V.E.S.S. integrated system to show a live feed to whatever screen or HUD is at the other end of the link. The camera lens can be moved in flight, allowing to pan over the battlefield, though the camera’s position is at the mercy of gravity and wind.

Personal Shield Generator
Designed for when the user is expecting heavy contact, the Bushdog 30 mm launcher does take a specially designed shield generator which activates a powerful energy shield around the barrel to protect from frontal attacks. While the shield may lightly obscure the user’s vision, it does not detract from the effectiveness of the weapon, allowing the user to fight safe from a majority of frontal attacks from blasters or similar energy weapons.
