Ossus. Ancestral home of the Jedi, and now a rural planet under the Crusade's complete control. The planet itself had seen much turmoil in the past century or so, and if records were to be believed, even beyond that. This place, echoing with both the Bogan and Ashla, had weathered storm after storm. It was a remarkable planet, with lightning storms that could level entire cities. The Crusade had been here only a short time, but the improvements laid out for the people had already taken hold. In fact, more and more people were coming to Ossus to live, as the Crusade had made the planet both livable and enjoyable.

The rural planet was also home to the tribal Ysanna, a networked group of individuals strong in the Force itself. Though they were not directly allied with the Crusade, the Ysanna were cordial enough. Clergy had been ordered by Tarsus to assist the tribal leaders of the Ysanna, and also provide a direct path to enlightenment. The species was well-known for their marked Force sensitivity, and their populace would be well-suited for both Templars and Jury members.

Today was to be a grand day of celebration. A recent tribal leader of the Ysanna had recently converted to Ashla's Light, and as such was integrating his entire tribe into the urban centers. Archbeacon Tarsus ordered an entire day of parties and frivolity because of this change of diplomacy, though Tarsus hoped this would just make things easier for the other tribes. This tribal leader was one of a few dozen, and the process of converting them all would be incredibly slow.

The marketplace was incredibly packed, with people hollering and enjoying music of all types. The local merchants had their stalls open, with reduced prices for goods and food. Locals living in the area were happy to join in the celebration, and the cultural melting pot would be good for the joining Ysanna. A feast of sorts was also planned in the evening, one that was costing the Crusade a pretty credit to throw. Tarsus had to do some serious political maneuvering to pull off the funding, and was quite successful in the end.

Tarsus was seated in a ceremonial speeder, the top open for him to wave at the various people. This was a religious celebration as much as it was a political one. The people needed to see the Crusade as favorable, and they also needed to see Tarsus out in public. Their had been murmurs of his age and whether or not he could administrate the sector well enough. Tarsus needed to squash those hideous rumors before they grew into serious trouble.

Dressed in his ceremonial Archbeacon robes, the elderly man waved to the crowd as his driver slowly drove down the main street of the city itself. Ossus was much too rural for sky speeders, with streets and alleyways still a major part of the few urban centers.

"Shall we speed this along, Archbeacon?" asked the driver, looking back at him.

"Nonsense boy! The people are happy to see the Crusade, and they deserve good favor today." Tarsus continued his gestures towards the people, crowds of all types lining the streets. A small secure presence of Templars were following the slow procession, though not as many as one would expect. Tarsus had asked for a reduced amount of soldiers today, mostly on the idea that too many would make the procession line look cluttered.

Taking a deep breath as he surveyed the crowd of people, Tarsus nodded absent-mindedly. Today was a good day.

Jade eyes stared out across the land way off one could just spot one of the worlds electrical storms though it was moving away from the Capitol. Thankful it would not come to ruin today's celebrations Elysium thought to herself as she looked out towards the fading storm from the Cities west wall. Elysium had no real connection to this world she was from Kathol Rift a very isolated place that was extremely hard to traverse. It was because of that she didn't have a connection with many worlds outside the rift it had taken her months to get off the rift into the wider galaxy. In a lot of ways, the many worlds were very strange to her, yet they all had very similar cycles.

As she watched this worlds storm very intrigued by it a whisper entered her mind. "I'm bored, let's do something fun!" Dusk looked down to her side where a satchel hung a little ball of light was peeking out. An annoyed look crossed Elysiums face as she noticed it as it was not supposed to be here. It must have been hiding for months now, how had she not noticed the Fiery One. Oh, she knew it's name, it was Pint and pint was pest she thought she had ditched in the rift.

"No more funeral homes either they are so depressing or Museums I don't want to see old junk." Elysium took a deep breath and rolled her eyes at her annoying pest of a friend. Her mind now fully pulled away from the storm and focused on pint. "You shouldn't be here it's to dangerous, you need to go back to the rift."

Pint pushed its way out of the satchel and floated up to right in front of Elysium face. "But Baroness who will protect you here? Come on let's go see this celebration I heard you talking to someone about. I like to party." Pint had a very short attention span that is what made them the most annoying. Elysium sighed heavily. "I'm going to send you back to the rift you know but fine today we can go partake in the festivities." Even though Pint was annoying they were a friend and Elysium knew they meant well.

"Oh, I heard they got this thing called ice cream. I must try it." Elysium smirked as the two started to move in towards the central area of the city where the main festivities were going to be held. "It will freeze your tiny brain." She quipped.

Prime Minister Draellix strolled through the capital speaking to the new Minister for Agriculture, a Mirilian woman a few years younger than her. She had some excellent policy ideas that she wanted Isla's help to keep initiate, she wanted to capitalise that the Crusade had recently taken some bread basket sectors and hopefully to begin easing some of the food concerns in the North East of the Kaisereich where the planet's were largely barren. She signed a few documents but then stopped her colleague, wanting to take in a little of the sights and sounds of the celebration. "Listen, Minister A'shae, you need to let your hair down, speaking from experience, these opportunities to just enjoy the fruits of our labour's can be few and far between." she laughed, she already had an appointment booked for the morning with the woman. "My apologies Isla, I am just keen to get started." She couldn't fault her for being eager. The Prime Minister nodded politely and they went their seperate ways.

Not far from the woman, on a discrete alcove say her two Praetorians in their white and gilded gold armour. They were ever vigilant and ready to act in defence of Isla, or in the defence of any vulnerable Ashlan. They were always about somewhere, but this was a party, so they remained hidden.

Her saber and her rosary hung loosely from her belt as her badges of office as Isla walked up behind Elysium Dusk Elysium Dusk and laughed, "If I didn't know better Knight, I would swear you were talking to your handbag." she approached the Templar and introduced herself walmly. She had not met Dusk before, but her SAINT AI immediately flagged up pertinent Crusade identity information. "I'm Isla, it's lovely to meet you, what do you think of the Count's celebrations?"

The Cardinal was always one for celebrations, not that he was interested in partaking, but such occasions were often necessary for keeping people in good spirits. The populace wanted to see the Crusade succeed, so Pietro would oblige. He hadn't put this particular celebration together, but was quite pleased with the results of Tarsus' labors. The man had proven to be most resourceful, a quality that was quite beneficial to both Ossus and the Crusade as a whole.

"Do you not wish to join the count on his speeder, your imminence?"

"He put this together. Being present would only take away from his moment of triumph."

Pietro had chosen to await the man at the end of the parade's path, standing with several members of the Holy Guard, including his friend Chaplain Panaka. The pair looked onward to the procession, awaiting the approach of the Count. Pietro wished to congratulate the man on his efforts, but refused to take away any of the man's shine by simply being there. It wasn't so much a matter of ego, but rather simply the side effects of his station. People often flocked to him and his fiery speeches in droves, and his presence near the Count would make it seem as if he had a heavier hand in the success on Ossus than he had.

"Are the others in place?"

"Yes, your imminence."

"Excellent."

The Count had asked for less troops to be present at the celebration, but that wouldn't stop the Cardinal from at least bringing the Holy Guard with him. They had positioned themselves throughout the celebration, though they weren't at full strength. Pietro would ensure that he was protected, one way or another.

"Remember, Chaplain, we are not here as a show of force. We are here to celebrate. Don't let the Guard draw too much attention."

He awaited the others in earnest, taking a sip of a glass of wine as he looked onward to the procession before him.
