STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Not Completely Defenseless: He may seem like a noncombatant, but Pietro is quite capable of defending himself with a lightsaber when needed.
Heed My Words: Pietro is a well-spoken, charismatic orator, able to sway many with his speeches. This also makes him incredibly effective as a representative of the Crusade.
Sphere of Influence: His status within both the Crusade and the greater Ashlan faith provides him with many resources to use as he sees fit.
Hindered Duelist: Despite his training with a lightsaber, Pietro has opted to focus on his other skills, making him less than a master. He can hold his own, but would struggle against a more skilled opponent.
Unbridled Fanaticism: While his devotion to the Ashla is a boon to him in many ways, it has also provided him with a hefty share of enemies throughout the galaxy.
APPEARANCE:
Pietro is a man who carries himself with a holy countenance. He comes across as a calm, charismatic individual. His demeanor may not be physically intimidating, but his zealous nature can be imposing in its own way. He is never seen without his crimson priestly garb, as well as an electrum necklace with a pendent of the Ashlan phoenix. His lightsaber is kept hidden within the folds of his robe.
PERSONALITY:
No one would ever accuse Pietro of being a quiet individual. His ability for rhetoric is second only to his shrewd political acumen. His speeches are known throughout the Ashlan movement, and he is a strong figurehead for the religion. This largely comes from his fanatic devotion to the Ashla, and his determination to spread the word throughout the galaxy.
While an incredibly pious man on the surface, Pietro has a more aggressive side behind closed doors. In his fanaticism, Pietro sees those outside of Ashla’s light as heathens and heretics, and will not hesitate to order the death of those he deems to be impure. This has made him a controversial figure outside of the movement, but his abilities as an orator continue to preserve his status among many.
BIOGRAPHY:
As a son of the great House Demici of Serenno, Pietro grew up wealthy and comfortable. Once he was old enough, Pietro was sent to a very prestigious school, where he learned to hone his political skills. Despite excelling in his classes, Pietro felt a certain emptiness within. As time when on, he became restless, unable to discern where his life was headed. This rut seemed impossible for him to get out of, until a speaker of Ashla came to the school. Pietro found himself enamored with the man’s rhetoric, and decided to approach him after his speech. The man convinced Pietro to leave the school, and join the priestly order that followed the Ashla.
It didn’t take long for Pietro to find his footing within the religious order. He had finally found his calling, and decided to devote himself utterly to it. It was here that Pietro discovered his sensitivity to the Force, and began cultivating his talents. He also took up learning the history of the Ashlan belief, and grew to be an avid historian. Eventually, Pietro decided to return to his home in an effort to spread the word of the Ashla. Upon returning, Pietro found his home to be vastly different than before. The Sith had tightened their grip on the planet, leaving little room for his words to be heard. Eventually, Pietro had to flee his home to avoid execution.
While in exile, Pietro eventually met Cedric Grayson, a man of devout belief and unwavering determination. Moved by the man’s actions, Pietro decided to throw his full weight behind the Ashlan Crusade, bringing a large number of followers with him. He has since taken a senior position within their religious ranks, and manages much of the church matters while Cedric is away. He continues to spread the word of the Ashla, hoping to convert and rally more to their cause.
