HISTORICAL INFORMATION


Valskar was settled by independent groups seeking isolation after the collapse of several trade routes. Early mining ventures failed due to extreme conditions.
Survivors formed small autonomous communities. Over time, clan-based governance emerged naturally.

The planet has no strategic value, no real military, and few resources worth fighting over. Its people live through mining, cryo-hunting, and recycling.
The Valskary do not pursue conquest or expansion. Their society is built on endurance, discipline, and the ability to survive the cold.

Traces of Sith traditions can be found there, including runes, language, and some technology, such as forges for processing minerals and refineries.

Cultural DAILY :

Under the clear northern sky, as the mist slowly drifts away from the skjam, life stirs within the longhouse, still warm from last night's fire. The first to rise are those who tend the hearth, coaxing the embers back to life while the smell of barley bread spreads across the room. Warm milk, butter, and a piece of dried fish make up the morning meal, taken in silence or with a short invocation to god, or mystic figure. depending on the needs of the day: strength, fertility, or fortune. Children run out to feed the animals, bare feet in the dew, while the men ready themselves for the fields, the forge, or the sea.


As the sun climbs higher, the village awakens. You can hear the ring of hammer on anvil, the lowing of cattle, the caw of ravens. Men plow the dark soil, women spin and weave, slaves labor wordlessly through the heaviest chores. Everyone knows their place, and the rhythm of work is set by light, not by any clock. By midday, the community gathers for a meal of steaming stew and bread. It's a moment of sharing, of stories and laughter. Then comes training time: young men practice with axe, shield, and spear while the elders watch, correcting a stance or a swing. The art of combat is not merely survival it's a path to honor.


The afternoon passes in a blend of labor and talk. Some go fishing or hunting, others repair ships or sharpen blades. On the doorsteps, conversations drift about future voyages, alliances, and promises made to the gods. Viking culture never stands still it breathes in motion, in preparation, in the vision of distant horizons. Even the children learn to read the stars, for here, knowing how to navigate means knowing how to live.


When the sun sinks low, shadows stretch across the mountains, and the village gathers again in the great hall. The warmth of the fire, the scent of roasting meat, and the sweetness of mead fill the air. People sing of past deeds, laugh, make oaths, and exchange proud looks. The skalds recite sagas that bind the living to their ancestors, reminding all that they are links in a chain greater than themselves.


In winter, these evenings stretch long into the night. The wind howls outside, but inside there is firelight, storytelling, and the celebration of Yule. In summer, the same men who now feast will take to the sea, sailing toward the unknown and returning with treasures—or scars. It's an endless cycle: toil, glory, rest, renewal. A hard life, yet a full one. A life woven from cold, from fire, and from pride.
