Under the Storm(Mandalorians/Sith)

The Mercs fired back, but stayed where they were. Despite them being nameless grunts and zealots, they weren't stupid enough to run into their own traps. They waited a few moments before one unhooked a thermal detonator and flung it down the way, the grenade bouncing off the walls a few times before rolling to a stop against a building and exploding, sending permacrete, dirt and sand everywhere before the building it hit collapsed from the sudden loss of a wall and integrity. "Come out, come out, ya' little heathen. We jus' want a word with ya'!" yelled one wielding a large heavy repeater after the explosion had cleared and the dust had settled, they could wait this little Mando out. Their orders were to stall anyways, and they would do just that.

Abaddon

A dust cloud "blocked" his view in a Sith's typical dirty trick, although this one could be employed by a common boy in a brawl. Luckily he saw his life through his helmet, and simple dirt could not make it blink. In fact, if his helmet did blink he would then proceed to shoot himself. His vision was anything but obstructed, and the lightsaber burning through the air and creating ozone would not be blocked out by simple non-clumping sand. He quickly rolled his weapon into an aggressive attack, and while he did block the initial strike he noticed it was far more difficult than it should have been to press into the beast. He assumed that perhaps its entirely alien feet played a role in this.

That gave the tusken an idea, which he proceeded into immediately as his retaliation. With the lightsaber blocked he then came down to stab the feet or legs in the hopes of slowing it down a notch. Any speed he could over take in this fight would be a blessing. A simple brute faced with a demon of speed and claw; a crimson claw that cut even the air they breathed. But it didn't matter, as a Tuskens claw was an equal match. He did not expect that the beast would be much more of a challenge in the next few minutes, and he would be genuinely surprised if it was. He did need to keep in mind however of the power of the force, as witnessed by Daxton Bane. He was still cautious in using his grenades quite yet, the first reason being he did not believe he would need them, and the second being it was still too early to be effectively deploying them. A Sith's defenses would need to be down before any move could be made to make them detonate in a way most suitable.

Jorn needed to find a way past them. If he couldnt kill them all maybe he could trick them all. He grabed one of the fallen Mercs and took his clothes he switch them out as fast as he could looking like them. he hated to do this but he could get his armor back later. Taking the rifle he fired 3 short bursts into the chest plate of his armor that he placed on teh fallen merc. He then yelled out "Got EM!" He still had his two blades but one was hidden. under the fold of the uniform. he then walked over and moution for them to come over to see the dead body. Acting like a littel kid he said "Hey come on he's right here!"

The Merc were wary, but weren't smart enough to realize this type of trick, and complied. "You sure? Well, alright!" With a quick button click he disarmed the claymore's motion trigger but kept the turrets running. A few of the Mercs walked over to inspect the corpse, one bending down to inspect the body. "Bloody Mandos, nuthin' more than dawgs really..." He said in a heavy and thick accent, some of it being slightly slurred than the rest, but of course he insult towards the Mandalorians would probably be the last thing he'd say.

Jorn was mad that they called them dogs. he tried so hard not to show it. He did a smile grimace. he had to change his voice fast. using a slur like they did he said "Well wed bedder get the dung herder ta da boss? hed like dat." Jorn was going to play them so he could find where kaine went. he thought back to what he always thought. "If you cant beat them Join them!" but he was going to add another phrase to that. "then kill em"

The Mercs looked at him as he said that, "Bu' the boss said we need ta stay here, besides we dun' even know where he gone anyways. They all look alike them helmeted lads..." Truly, the Mercs didn't know which one was Kaine, as he had put a helmet on without them actually seeing him do it, and had no idea which one was the real one when they took off.

Mirta had heard scattered reports of violence in other settlements, but she had witness nothing as her and the few soldiers that made up this settlements defenses were concerned. She of course was cursing the day the Sith were born.. Couldn't they leave well enough alone. She held her blaster out, waiting for some sign of the sith but she hadn't seen anything.. Perhaps her settlement wasn't worth the effort.. she had come here to recoup from the last fight, Small farming communities could always use help and she was only glad to provide it. The place was only a farming community thanks to the mighty machines that provided water for each acre of life giving crops. She had been fixing one before the scattered reports broke out. She just hoped she could help the 20 or so other journeyman protectors and 100 or so civilians close enough to her location to defend it. They had build barricades with what they could find, pulling out what they could from the armoury, the other entrances had heaver guns, as she knew the civilians needed them, She had herself and more of the experienced soldiers, She just hoped it balanced out as she waited for her radio to go off again.
The baracades were ready, gun emplacements had been placed, this was about as ready as this small settlement was going to get. Mirta prayed it was enough, she knew the training, don't give them an inch. She held her heavy blaster waiting for a target to show up on her HUD. She was going to show the sith what it was like to fight a true Mandolorian Soldier. Mirta prepared her self mentally checking her surroundings and making notes of what she had on her person. She had to keep alert, and thus most of her attention was on the surroundings, She was probably the only settlement to get such an advanced warning which scared her.

"Damn" Jorn thought to himself. and answered "Wat we ta do now?" He needed information on where their base was if he could do that he could show the maps to thte other Mandos and make an assult on them. taking out the Sith army where they least expect it. It seemed that he was using alot of basic tactivcs durring this battle. he went over to the dead merc and picked him up to carry him saying "Ima move the body ta not warn da odders. dat were here."

Jorn still needed his mapping systems and if he could do that then he could still send the mapping charts.

Her bone structure offered little protection from the spear that slid into her clawed foot. But unlike most Sith, Abaddon cared little for lightsabers. She released it and grabbed her opponent's weapon instead. Even as it remained pierced into her foot, she remained steadfast in her grip. Then she moved for a clench. Bodyshield still dangling from her forearm and all. Now it was strength on strength. Only, she decided to take a bite of his helmet now too. She opened her razored maw and decided to tear his faceplate right off with her inhuman teeth.

Abaddon had been bleeding for a few seconds now from multiple wounds. But she showed no signs to slowing down nor physical impairment. Pain and suffering only increased her potential. It would take a few minutes for the science of fatigue to take hold over her chemical rush for battle.

"Gah!" Now the Tusken was almost genuinely fearful. The Sith was unpredictable, it simply dropped its weapon like nothing! It hardly winced at the fact it had a giant metal pole sticking out of its foot, and now as it pulled against his weapon it went to take chunk out of his helmet! Obviously wanting to keep his head on his shoulders he backed away, but his grip wouldn't let go of his weapon, thus he had a wonderful view of the inside of the beasts mouth. He back his head back as he held his stick for balance to kick the beast away. If he couldn't push it away he would fall back with it. That's when he decided it was useless, and let go of his weapon and rocketed upward with his jetpack. He immediately fell down on a knee with his blaster rifle ready and firing. That meat shield could only last so long when its on fire, and soon the beast would learn this very quickly.

With a pull of a trigger hell opened up a portal on his gun and all the heat began to escape from its fiery depths in the form of a pillar of fire. It was a new addition he added for Sith hunting since leaving Junction, he figured that an apprentice would have more difficulty in dealing with the heat than say a Master or even perhaps a Knight. Fire like the beast was unpredictable, and he was unsure as of yet the extent of this Siths ability in the Force. But regardless, if he couldn't beat it being a brute, he'd skin it alive with resourcefulness and cunning. Obviously though he didn't have infinite ammunition, thus the flames wouldn't be there forever, he would need to switch tactics soon, but for now he opted that this would do the job for now just fine.

It was over in a few moments. in maybe ten minutes the building was clear. so Edard rushed back to the top. fro the vantage point he now had he could sense the the tide of death and destruction slowly sweeping into the city. Although in one area some of the sith were being bombarded by aerial artillery and suffering heavily. A voice from behind broke his reverie "Good job apprentice. I can establish contact with the Shadow Orbiter now. Find a way to be useful down there now." Edar had sensed the Sith Knight approaching and had ignored him, but he couldn't ignore a direct order, not in a combat situation. "okay. ill do that." and with that Edard force leaped off of the roof, spreading his cloak out behind him and riding the thermal waves from the explosions he managed to glide five times farther than he fell. Within thirty seconds or so he managed to glide almost two kilometers to the other end of the invasion line. when he was directly above the the artillery barge he let go of his cloak and dropped eighty yards to the barge.
He had been completely unnoticed upon his landing and most of the twenty or so crew were so busy with bombarding they would have noticed if he had landed right by them. The barge was a floating platform maybe two hundred yards above the ground. it was three feet thick and moved like a huts bowels, slow and sloppy. Edard walked the line on one side and simply cut the turret they were sitting on off the barge itself. the turrets and bombadeers fell into the crowds of mandalor defenders, each one exploding and killing five or six soldiers apiece. By the time he manged to clear one side an officer happened to turn and check the side of the barge Edard was on.
Screaming orders at the bombadeers, the officer fled the deck in favor of the wheelhouse. Three turrets turned and proceeded to fire upon him, which only produced the effect the sith apprentice wanted to achieve. as Edard dodged the rounds they exploded on the deck and caused the whole barge to list to an extreme angle, back towards the mandalore defenders who were perhaps mercifully unaware of their immanent death. as the burning, listing barge proceeded to accelerate towards the ground Edard kept dodging artfully the rounds still being fired at him. when the barge was just one hundred feet above the ground Edard leaped to a nearby building to watch as the mandalore defenders realize that their death was at hand. with a sickening crunch and a smaller blast wave than Edard had hoped for, the barge merged with the ground indifferent of the fact that it now crushed many of the soldier it was supposed to be aiding. after a moment of enjoying a slight respite, Edard leaped to the courtyard below and added his blade to the sacking of the capitol.

Daxton and his team moved through the city like wraiths hunting for fresh souls. Those foolish enough to stand and fight, were cut down, their life forces quenched in an span of heartbeats before moving on. Everywhere he went, he left misery and death behind him. It strange way it was almost poetic. Pausing to survey this next target using macrobinoculars he spotted several mandolorians behind some sort of crew served weapon. It was then he had a deliciously wicked idea.

Speaking quickly with his men, they captured several dozen civilians, binding them together and gagging them. Daxton concentrated and shaped the force to cloak the prisoners in illusion so that they would appear like Sith warriors. Then with Dark Side of the Force they compelled the prisoners to rush towards the defenders, serving as meat shields while the real sith warriors followed up in the rear.

The Mandalorians gaped in horror as they shot up what they thought were Sith attackers, only to realize their mistake when the illusion dissolved when they killed the prisoners. By the time they realized what was happening, the real sith warriors were among them cutting them down where they stood.

Kicking a headless Mandalorian corpse out of the way, Daxton radioed central command that his team had secured their mission goals. Sith technicians would soon arrive and they would turn what few automated defensive guns the planet had against the defenders.

With her new weapon she blocked his blaster bolts just as if it had been a lightsaber. This necessitated that she could not reflect them, but dispersing the beam was good enough. The soldier's weapon was fine indeed in it's resistances. The Sith was impressed with his choice of equipment.

Sadly, fire then came and set her alight. He too was unpredictable. Abaddon had only killed humans before. Never this type of cunning, metal, or weaponry. She was ill prepared. Becoming set on fire was the last of this battle. She bellowed another Force Scream to disperse her opponent and then ran for the water. On all fours she make good time like a cheetah. Diving in and disappearing beneath the waves.

She made for a good depth before swirling about to see if the warrior followed. Abaddon could enjoy eating him down here. Alas, her bloodlust was gone and the burns on her pale skin seemed heavy now. The Dark Side had sensed her weakness, her withdrawal from combat, and was fading from her. The Dark Side betrayed the weak. And now Abaddon was growing furious at it's sudden displeasure. Her Gods were abandoning her when she needed them the most.

She kept his weapon though. Abaddon enjoyed the cold steel against her palm. It was so much more satisfying than a lightsaber. It was so... Uncivilized.

A sigh of relief escaped the Tusken as he watched his enemy flee in ablaze into the deep blue waters. He had half a mind to go after her, but he had several problems with that. The first being a Tusken, and Tusken don't swim (or in his case well enough), and the second was that he still had a battle to win. She wasn't the sole prize in this game. He got quite mad though in the realization he lost yet again his favorite weapon. But it didn't matter now, as he took a knife out, blocked a Sith's blade to one side while slashing his throat and then staking him into the chest before being rocketed into the air, to be dropped upon his fellows. In surprise one of them made an easy target for his rifle, while the one directly below him got the butt end of the stick.

Kyr heard a hum behind him, of which he then turned with his new toy, and turned the sith's face into coal. Yup, it's decided. Until he got a Gaderffii back in his hands, this was his new favorite weapon. It was a shame it had such a small cartridge. As the Sith numbers began to dwindle down, he got a flood of reports. One that stood out fairly well and without contest was near some outpost, thus it came to reason that Hutuun'Kyramud was coming for Edard. But apparently that Sith had already arrived here in Acadia, so he would have to move quickly. He did not like the sound of an uncontested enemy. He hope his boys here could finish off the rest while he went to go deal with the next problem. A sith killed another man and almost got after him... just before Kyr rearranged his face with his scattergun.

"Finish the rest, I have a new target." He told his few men here before jetting his way towards the river. No one was going to take Acadia this day.

It was strange that no came out to challenge him by this time. Usually some brave misguided soul would come out of the wood work, trying to stop his rampages. About as effective as a moth against the flame, but he so enjoyed those moments of diversion. He loved taunting them, making them realize that there was no hope. To crush their dreams and their lives in an instant, with no more thought to it than crushing a bug. This is what Daxton cherished the most, and now they were denying him that pleasure.

No, no, no. This would not do at all. Where are the misguided heroes or was the vaulted Mandalorian battle pride just so much propaganda? Lashing out with tendrils of the dark force, he toss aside tables and chairs, punched out windows, flung dead bodies like rag dolls, before finally getting his temper under control.

If they don't want to play, then Daxton will have to make them come out and play.....

Mirta heard radio chatter from another position... It sounded as if the sith had hit hard, using their own men and woman as weapons. She cursed as she ran towards the man, it seemed he was alone, so She fired her blaster at him in rapid succession, Little did she know that she was starting a fight with a sith Knight named Daxton. He would pay for attacking their planet.
They would learn the fear that the galaxy felt in the Mandolorian Wars, When Basilisks rained down and struck fear in the hearts of millions. She wanted the Mandolorians to be like that again, to be a force not walked over by the sith, but for that to happen she needed to so this Sith her might. She kept fireing at the man, she wasn't going to let him walk away from this fight.
That was Mirta's goal, She was a Mandolorian born and bred and she was going to show this man, this sith what she was made of. Her suit was going to have to show it was worth all the time she had spent on it. She was etenally grateful it was made out of mandolorian iron.

The blaster bolt took him in the shoulder before he could bring up his sword, pushing him back as he spun his blades to deflect the rest of the shots away from him. Getting too cocky Daxton, he chided himself, a couple of more inches and she would have hit your head. Fortunately his reflective armor deflected much of the damage, although his shoulder was going to sting and bruise later.

Signalling his squad to remain in place, he wanted the pleasure of crushing this one with his own hands. The six other sith pulled back into the shadows, awaiting eagerly the outcome. Perhaps they could even finish off the winner if the combatants seriously wounded each other.

"What is your name?" Daxton's voice calmly said as he dropped into combat pose and sent her blaster bolts zinging back in her direction.

The creature Abaddon surfaced from a distance and observed the fighting. Her pact was losing the battle on the beachhead. More strange tactics were deployed by the Iron men that defended this strange world. Thus, she swam downstream. Crossed the reservoir's dam and jumped into the waterway. She would find a suitable moist hiding place and enter hibernation. When her wounds closed, her skin peeled, and her bloodflow stabilized she could rejoin the Sith.

Until then, she became a ghost and disappeared into the depths. It would be many hours before she reemerged.

Mirta smirked behind her helmet " Mirta Kar Yours?' She rolled to the side avoiding the reflected bolts, cringing as a few bounced off her armor. She wasn't sure she was ready to fight such a man but at least the other sith had backed off. " You should stay away from the affairs of those who are clearly beyond you and play with your petty jedi friends" She had begun to hate force users. She was on one knee and began to fire again this time trying to shoot beyond his blade, by being as unpredictable as possible. She needed to keep moving, his deflection was only going to get better... She rolled again, she couldn't stay still long until she found cover, his deflected bolts are awfully accurate.

"They call me Daxton Bane. And you Mandalorians shouldn't have sided with the Jedi and attacked us first. Now you reap the fruits of your treachery, Mitra Kar." Spinning his lightsaber to continue deflecting her shots, he used his free hand to Force push against the cover she was using, topping the heavy concrete on her and burying the Mandalorian in the process.

Even as he did so he unclipped two stun grenades from his belt telekinetically and rolled them on either side of her position. If she attempted to flee the toppling mass of concrete, he would still have her.
