STRENGTHS
- Rugged: The armour is made of durable materials, with a host of functions to keep the wearer alive even when compromised.
- Modular: Featuring plenty of room and mounts to modify the armour, it can fill various roles
- Exoskeleton: The armour has an exoskeleton over the body glove, designed to bolster the wearer’s movements.
- Signature: With a triprismatic polymer coating, a special body glove, and a variety of other additions, the armour is designed for covert operations as well as front line usage.
WEAKNESSES
- Gaps: Despite the sturdy duraplast plates, the armour has a lot of vulnerable gaps that can leave the wearer exposed to attacks or injuries.
- Force/lightsabers: Apart from glancing blows, the suit offers little protection against lightsabers. Likewise, less conventional Force attacks will bypass the armour entirely.
- Polymer: While capable of making the wearer harder to detect, the stealth functions aren’t as good as more expensive alternatives.
- Bulky: The trade off for reliable protection and a hose of features is the physical weight of the armour.
DESCRIPTION
A very niche and expensive armour reserved only for certain units, the Type 76 covert harness is a suit designed to not only keep the wearer safe, but also to bolster their capabilities and keep them out of sight.
The armour is highly popular among elite Hellion troopers, as well as the very secretive Hex Internal Security division when heavier protection and contingencies are needed for certain operations.
