STRENGTHS
  • Sealed: The vehicle has plenty of systems in place to keep the crew safe and allow them to fight in a variety of environments.
  • Modular: With a universal rear deck, the truck can mount a variety of pods, equipment and weapons, including a 50-barrel launcher for artillery usage or a crane for heavy recovery operations.
  • Space: With a roomy interior and versatile deck, the truck can load plenty of cargo, passengers, or equipment.
  • Fast: The 10 x 10 drivetrain and powerful engine allows the machine to move and manoeuvre quickly and gracefully.
  • Comfort: Built for long missions over very rough terrain, the truck’s interior and suspension, while utilitarian, is deceptively comfortable.

WEAKNESSES
  • Coating: The triprismatic polymer coating is only meant to keep its signature low, not to camouflage the truck entirely
  • Defence: The truck’s defence is rather lacking, making it a very big and easy target.
  • Awareness: Despite all the systems, scanners and cameras, the crew has little situational awareness.
  • Explosive: The reactor in the vehicle could result in an enormous explosion if damaged, further exacerbated by extra munitions if configured for war.

DESCRIPTION
The lifeline of Hex Incorporated’s foreign affairs, the Type 71 Universal Transport is a powerful machine designed to carry anything and go anywhere. The 10 x 10 truck is highly modular with a universal linkage on its rear deck, allowing it to be used for virtually any role necessary.

Its biggest feature, however, is its powerful reactor. It can maintain a respectable high speed while carrying tons of cargo and/or materials, and its deck allows it to also work as a recovery vehicle for heavy equipment, further aided by its nose-mounted dozer blade.

Its built-in fire control group can also be easily configured to allow usage of a massive 50-barrel missile system which, combined with its high speed and clearance, turns the harmless utility truck into a devastating artillery piece.
