  • Canon Link: Targeting computer
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Maji Ironworks
  • Affiliation: Maji Ironworks
  • Market Status: Open-Market
  • Model: M.I. 'Hunter-Seeker' Fire Control System
  • Modularity: Highly Modular
  • Production: Mass-Produced
  • Material: Various electronic components

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Compatible with any type of weapon that can accept input.
  • Utilizes information input from various sources if available.
  • ”Hunter-seeker” system can lock onto one target while tracking others, no matter how big, many or small.
  • Quickly adjusts from one target to the next.
  • Accurately accounts for variables that can interfere with the weapon’s accuracy.
  • Easily integrates with various systems and multiple weapons at once.
  • Assists with manual shooting and allows for manual input with automated systems.
  • Secure anti-electronic interference makes it resistant to slicing and other attacks.
  • Sports a database that can be updated for tracking targets using visual reference.
  • Software is compatible with any system that can support it, from a personal level up to large scale weapons platforms.

STRENGTHS
  • Effective: Range, obstacles, majority of variables can be taken into account to allow for accurate and constant fire.
  • Compatible: Whether it is the device or the software, the system can integrate with virtually any system or scanner.
  • IFF: The system can, quickly and easily, identify and differentiate allies from enemies, whether they have an IFF device or not. It can also use visual reference when scanners fail.
  • Software: The software of the system can be used by any pre-existing targeting computers as long as it can be supported.

WEAKNESSES
  • Stealth: Despite visual identification, the system can be spoofed if the stealth tech is good enough.
  • Slicing: If a slicer is good enough, they could potentially mess with the targeting system.
  • Software: If a user opts for a simple software installation, the device might not be able to support all of the features and input of the software.
  • Power: All of the processing and calculations require a lot of power, which increases with the amount and size of weapons it needs to support.
  • Misfire: The weapon could potentially lock onto friendly signatures in certain conditions.

DESCRIPTION
Part of the Maji Ironworks modernisation plan, the “Hunter-Seeker” fire control system is both a software and/or device designed to merge with any platform, HUD or weapon that can accept it. Sporting a secure network, the system is quite resistant to slicing.

A simple system, but highly effective with several contingencies and a myriad of options, allowing the user to configure and play to their heart’s content. Depending on the weapon used, if the system can see a target, it can hit it. No matter what might try and interfere with its very simple goal.
