OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Tsitira Itban - High Sith for Tyrant Orb
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Amaltanna
  • Average Lifespan: 140 Galactic Standard Years
  • Estimated Population: Rare
  • Description: A horrific floating mass of teeth and eyestalks, fanning out from the central mass and massive single eye, with powerful abilities in the dark side, Tyrant Orbs are an extremely cunning and dangerous creation of Darth Arcanix and her followers. The creatures have quickly started to establish themselves in the underground of Amaltanna, but many possess the ambition to spread their influence and power to other worlds.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I
  • Average Height of Adults: 1.5 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Dark purple to sickly greens, but several have a darker skin tone that can border between a dark gray to almost glossy black.
  • Hair color: No hair
  • Distinctions: The most distinctive physical trait, besides their hovering large bodies through internal gases, are their large maws filled with teeth and the number of eyestalks that are around its body, and of course the large central eye that dominates its body. Due to their Hutt DNA, their bodies are constantly secreting a slight mucus to keep their skin moistened.
  • Races: No other races currently
  • Force Sensitivity: All
Strengths:
  • Tyrant Orbs, due to their creation process requiring a Force using Ongree and the Bouncers, are powerful Force Sensitives and have a natural inclination to the dark side. They will channel any powers they have learned through their various eyestalks as a focus, such as Force Lightning and Deadly Sight, into beams of power.
  • In addition to being able to learn powers, like any Force Sensitive, Tyrant Orbs also have the ability to emit a field of Force Suppression in a ten meter radius around themselves as along as their central eye is whole and undamaged to hinder opposing Force users' attack against them.
  • Due to the Hutt DNA used in their creation, Tyrant Orbs are able to unhinge their jaws and consume just about anything roughly their size or smaller. This can be a doubled edged sword as while it does mean they can easily wat their prey, sometimes if they get swallowed whole, with their weapons, their victim can fight their way out from the inside. The Hutt DNA has also altered their digestive tracts to allow them a great resistance to most poisons and toxins they might ingest.
  • Having been formed from a Bouncer, they are able to keep themselves aloft in the air at all times and have precise control over their altitude and speed of their propulsion through various gas and air sacs within their bodies.
  • Due to their many eyestalks, and their main central eye, they have a 360 degree visual radius, making it extremely difficult to catch them unawares. The alchemists of the Lady of Secrets also altered their eyes to be able to see in various stages of darkness, including in pitch blackness.
Weaknesses:
  • Perhaps even more so than other Sithspawn, if a Tyrant Orb ends up within a void bubble from a ysalamir or void stone, they become also nearly helpless. Their eyestalks lose any of their ability to project their Force powers and lose their Force Suppression field, leaving them with only their ability to float and eat and glare angrily at what has placed them into such a vulnerable position.
  • While their Force Suppression field can be a challenge, Force users stronger than them or with a powerful will can overcome the hinderance, much to the annoyance and frustration of the Tyrant Orb.
  • Tyrant Orbs can only stay aloft as well as they can in Type I atmospheric conditions, at Type II it becomes difficult and they will be forced to be close to the ground, and anything worse they are forced to be grounded and stationary. This can be useful for anyone able to manipulate the local environment to place the Tyrant Orb at a major disadvantage.
  • Damaging an eyestalk will stop the Tyrant Orb from channeling a Force power through it, and also hampers their visual and spatial awareness, creating a blind spot that a wily opponent can attack from until they are able to heal the damage if possible.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Omnivore, Force Energies
  • Communication: The can communicate in any language they learn, but typically speak in Basic and ur-Kittat.
  • Technology level: Galactic Standard, although they cannot use most handheld items or weapons. They have a fascination with cybernetics and other enhancement technologies such as bioengineering to make themselves stronger or give them an advantage over their rivals and enemies.
  • Religion/Beliefs: Tyrant Orbs are one of the few Sithspawn species that do not automatically venerate the Sith or the dark side itself as a deity or pantheon of some sort. Instead, most Tyrant Orbs are agnostic to the point that they will not worship anything. There are some exceptions as Tyrant Orbs are fully sentient, of course, and those exceptions have generally aligned themselves with worshipping or following the teachings of an individual Sith Lord or Lady, whether they be past or present.
  • General behavior:
    • Whether it was due to the intermixing of the Hutt and Iyra, or just a natural inclination, Tyrant Orbs are extremely paranoid, possessive, and arrogant creatures, typically living in solitary lairs to jealousy guard any secrets, knowledge, or riches they have acquired. They believe themselves superior to anything they encounter, that most life is there to serve their needs and desires except for those that have proven themselves stronger, but servants are to be kept at best several eyestalks distance away from any sort of power or organizing they might use to possibly undermine the Tyrant Orb. The creatures are constantly scheming and plotting for ways to gain more power, and are not above creating temporary alliances with other sentient Sithspawn species or individuals or even full Sith to achieve a maneuver against a rival, although in the case of the Sith, especially if they are a Master, they will always attempt to gain an apprenticeship with that individual.
    • Tyrant Orbs, after absorbing enough Force energies through the consumption of still living beings, will reproduce asexually, with a small portion of the creature and an eyestalk falling away. The new Tyrant Orb does not have the knowledge of the Force or other secrets that the original has, and will serve the parent as an apprentice until they reach maturity. At that point, the junior Tyrant Orb can either attempt to overthrow its progenitor or break away to carve themselves their own lair and build their own power and knowledge base.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The creatures that would become known as the Tsitira Itban, High Sith for Tyrant Orb, began as more of a curiosity experiment for the alchemists and geneticists on Amaltanna in their efforts of creating sentient Sithspawn species for the planet. Using leftover Hutt DNA from previous experiments, the alchemists there dispatched several retrieval missions for specific specimens. The specimens they wanted; Bouncers from the world of Ruusan, several Iyra individuals, and Force Sensitive Ongree, preferably trained in the dark side, but not a requirement. Given that list, several teams of Ravenscar Adepts were sent out to acquire the Bouncers while the others were contracted out to a few pirate and slaver groups in the Outer Rim.

Once they had their desired beings, the alchemists and sorcerers utilizied the same fusion and alteration blood ritual created by Darth Arcanix in the course of Project Aura, shaping and altering the mass of biomass, minds, and souls into a new shape and granting it further abilities. When the chrysalis was broken, the new creature floated out and immediately took in its surroundings and the Sith nearby, its eyestalks all focusing in on the dark haired woman standing first and foremost among the gathered individuals. Giving the species the name, Arcanix allowed the ritual to be used on the others and then released the new sentient monsters into the caverns of Amaltanna for observation of their growth.
