The Forsaken Phantoms: A bunch of pirates who would roam the Kessel Sector and ambush lost freighters stripping their cargo to sell on the black market. They were a newer gang but were formed by veteran spacers. The leader: Dalak Biggs served as a right-hand man for a major Hutt in Nar Shadaa. He was also a man whom Sorr was familiar with before he ran away from home to live a life as a Smuggler. Dalak was one of the people aside from Rory to convince Sorr to come out of his shell and do work for them. Though Sorr ended up killing Rory, Dalak didn't contact Sorr nor did he gather any thugs to try to kill Sorr in retaliation. Quite frankly, it made Sorr paranoid and sometimes he hardly slept since his mind was occupied on whether or not Dalak would ambush him.

Yet, 3 days ago, Sorr received a message on his old Holomail account by Dalak which said:

Hey kid,

Been some time. Heard what you did to Rory and yeah, he and I were friends, but he was a backstabbing, scumbag piece of chit whom I didn't mind seeing dying. It was a shame It wasn't me who pulled the trigger. Anyway, heard that you formed a fancy crew and you all taking soft ass jobs. Come on Sorr I didn't drag you from that idyllic utopia known as Naboo so you can smuggle bread to poor planets in the Outer Rim. Go for the prize kid, I'm planning a heist which will fund the Forsaken Phantoms. Your skill as a pilot and a smuggler is what I need and yeah, you will get a cut of the profits which I assure you will be enough for you and your merry band of misfits to retire and then some. Come to my base and we'll talk. Coordinates will be in the link.

Piloting the Tiaza's Purr Sorr navigated towards the asteroid field where he saw the outpost that was built into the asteroid ahead. "I know pirates aren't our usual clients," Sorr sighed to his crew. "But I have to confess I know the guy from back in the day and he helped me become a Smuggler. I owe him one for that, he provided me the connections and the funding necessary to start my career."

He landed the ship onto the spacepad and got out of the chair. "And he said that he'll make us very rich," Sorr said. "To the point where we won't have to work anymore. Let's just hear him out see what he wants to get done."

“I don’t think any of us are here to get rich Sorr,” Brinna responded in a gentle tone. She didn’t like disagreeing with Sorr, especially not in front of other crew members. Well at least she didn’t like disagreeing about jobs. Tactics was another thing. She looked out the viewport as the asteroids got bigger. Navigating an asteroid belt was something she trusted Sorr to do completely. He had a habit of trusting employers a bit quickly though. Especially if there were links to his past.

“Though you know me. I don’t have trouble working with the riff-raff of the underworld. Pirates can bring out the adventure. This will just be the time for the famous Sorr Caution to take hold. Rory was an old pal who encouraged your current track of life too. Remember how that turned out?” Brinna gave a wide smile and shrug. “Course Rory was a special type of Schutta. Davak is a better sort of outlaw.” she gave Sorr a wink.

Her own opinion on the subject made known she swiveled her chair to face the others along on the mission. “Neli and Porro are used to the way things go for us. Alora, you’re the new member so let me start by saying there is a good possibility that this adventure takes an ominous turn. But whatever happens stick with us. We always come out smelling like roses.” Brinna’s eyes shifted to Sorr at the controls and she smirked. “If I were you I’d pick Porro and/or Neli to stick close to. Sorr always seems to get the brunt of any trouble. And I’ll be diving in head first to make sure he doesn’t sink too deep.” She playfully nudged Sorr, careful not to interfere with his piloting.

Neli shrugged at the comment of it being a pirate, "Better not try and pirate from us, then he gets the warm end of the saber." she smirked. She hummed an agreement with Brinna, true, she wasn't really here to get rich. This was fun. But still, extra money was nice. Especially enough money to retire on.

Brinna also had her own ideas on Rory and Davak. Then raised her head as she and Porro were mentioned as well as Brinna talking to Alora, Neli didn't know her so well and raised her flute at her with a smile and a chuckle as Brinna adviced her who to stick with.
"I'm just too perfect to get in trouble. I have to either start it or it's not my trouble." she maintained a completely still smile, obviously far too still to not be joking.

"So the plan isn't to just steal all the pirate ships and run away like a bad loth-cat then right?" she prompted at Sorr lightly playing into the flute as she raised her brows at the rest of the crew.

Sorr appeared to be the end of a few jokes. Brinna was the instigator, and Neli made sure to put emphasis on it. All the while, Alora smiled, enjoying the ease of the atmosphere. She was the new addition, a willing participant with a few nose bleeds under her belt. Not at all a fighter nor one to pretend to be, her skills are a better fit as a buffer to the team. Thankfully, that made her an easy addition, even if she's only been confrontational a few times in her life.

The entire situation went over her head. A few names were easily thrown around between the three, leaving her a quiet spectator. She wasn't in a rush for further explanation; their job description was enough to keep her intrigued and ready to go. If anything pertinent comes up, she'll satiate her curiosity.

"What's life without a little danger?" Sorr may be fumbling through things, but he's landing gracefully - all things considered. Their first introduction was enough to tell her that he's tenacious and needs a little more guidance.

Her opinions on riches were restrained. Money is essential in life to live life, and no matter the amount, it's a good amount. Alora had a life of luxury compared to some, though the room for more was vast and wide. Living a simple life did not influence a need for more. Honestly, she preferred the quiet hills, far away from the hustle and bustle. So, the idea of becoming rich was appealing enough to make her yearn for those hills. With enough funds, she could once again hide away from the rest of the growing universe.

"Ominous turns build character."

A little adventure never hurt anyone. It's what got her caught up with the Hutt but also how she met Sorr and the rest of his crew. There will be no complaints from her, especially because she's far away from entertaining a Hutt and his grabby associates. A little tussle with pirates is likely the least treacherous thing she's done. Even though this entire thing feels a little too good to be true. Immediate riches? Forgiven circumstances? Cordial affirmations? They're dancing with danger with two left feet.

Porro was a go with the flow sort of guy. Didn’t like too much structure, and with the crew he was good enough at things that he sorta just filled in where the need arose. So knowing the ins and outs of a mission wasn’t really important, just so long as he got the jist of what they were up to. Sorr had received a letter from an old associate. It seemed there was the potential to get a share of a large sum of credits. Of course, Sorr approached this as doing his old friend a favor. Porro was fine with that, but while he wouldn’t do anything for credits, his job was a job and the lack of payment would see him switch jobs. So when Sorr stated this job could make them rich, he was quite ready to hear more.

Of course Brinna answered the question of pirates by first stating that they weren’t there to get rich. Porro considered the statement for a moment and then smiled. ”Might not be the reason we’re here, but damned if I would give a fortune back if one of our jobs provided one,” he gave Brinna a wink, before she continued by warning Alora, the newest member of the crew, that she would do well to expect difficulties. And that the usual process of getting out of trouble put herself and Sorr in the thick of things. That Alora would be safer sticking with Porro and/or Neli.

Porro looked over Alora and gave a smile. He certainly wouldn’t mind shielding the young woman from danger. Before he could voice his acceptance, Neli spoke up. Porro smirked at the comment about perfection and trouble. ”She can be pretty darn perfect sometimes,” Porro commented with a wink to Neli this time. ”I’ll be happy to keep an eye on you. I’ve always got surprises up my sleeves, so you should be quite safe.”

Porro couldn’t help a laugh at Neli’s suggestion that they not help the pirates get a large “treasure” that they could get a share of, but just waltz in and steal pirate ships. Porro knew it was a joke, but still he couldn’t help but wonder if perhaps he might come out of this thing with a ship of his own. ”I’m too young to think about retiring. Having a nice gambling budget never hurts though…and I like the way Neli’s thinking too. Even if we don’t end up with a fortune. There should be plenty of ships around to make it worth our while if chit hits the fan.”

Sorr could feel his ears redden when Brinna Dara Brinna Dara nudged his shoulder in a playful manner. It was true, none of the crew were in it to get rich they just wanted to go on a fun adventure. Though in Sorr's case, it wasn't "fun" as it was stressful having to always be on the run and dealing with the absolute scum of the Galaxy. This was far from the lighthearted stories that Sorr read as a child. "Reality is often this disappointing." he thought sadly.

"Dalak is far from a gentlemen," Sorr said concurring with Brinna. "But he's actually true to his word unlike many clients we take on." He gave nervous glance to Brinna leaning to her ear. "He is trustworthy right?" He whispered. "He and I had a couple of conversations, but you know him better than me." Given that Brinna was forced to work for Rory, they probably did have some encounters before.

"And NO trouble doesn't follow me around," Sorr gritted through his teeth while two Pirate Starfighters flew above the ship. "Okay? It's just that things happen because we always mess up somehow! We're gonna be fine! As long as we-"

Just the Neli Neli began to run her mouth saying that their plan was to steal all of the Pirate ships. A chill rushed down his spine, as Sorr's heart went a pounding. "Neli! Are you crazy?!" Sorr exclaimed panic filled his voice. "You're trying to get me killed with that suggestion! We're on an open comm right now because I'm trying to get final clearance to-"

"HEY! What the frack are you yapping about?!" A voice yelled through the intercom. "You gonna let us scan your cargo or you want us to paste ya!"

Sorr paused before quickly getting towards the comm trying to think of any excuse so as to not draw any more negative attention to him and the crew. "Oh we're just talking about the weather!" Sorr said his tone shaky. "I mean man Neli! Look how beautiful the weather is today! It's filled with space and stars and stuff."

"You're a fracking idiot," the Pirate said bluntly.

"I get that from my father a lot." Sorr gave a sheepish smile. "Actually, that was the nicest thing he ever said to me."

"Whatever I don't get paid enough to deal with this chit," the Pirate muttered. "Cargo is clean..... by pirate standards at least. Get your ass down here, Dalak is waiting for you."

"Right away!" Sorr immediately got up almost hyperventilating. "I really wish building character didn't involve me in constant brushes of death." Sorr moaned to Alora. "Come on guys let's get going, I feel like my heart about burst like an exploding star."

Brinna didn’t trust anyone she didn’t know like the back of her hand, and though Sorr’s sense of the underworld was getting better, he still had a soft spot for people who helped him out in the past. This Dalak would have to earn Brinna’s trust. Far too often these older captains showed a good face to a young smuggler to gain trust just to use them as some sort of cover when it was convenient. “Dalak may be better than some of the slugs we’ve worked for. But you be the optimistic one. I’ll keep my eyes open for the doublecross.”

Brinna also rolled her eyes at the comments of Neli’s perfection. Of course she couldn’t blame Neli. Brinna was usually pretty braggadocious as well, but Porro certainly didn’t have to agree so quickly. That was the tall young man’s MO though. Always praising the women. Brinna wondered if it ever actually worked for him. She knew that every time he would flirt with her it would lead to a punch in the shoulder.

The amazing timing of the pirate fighters and Sorr’s statement that he isn’t followed by trouble made Brinna giggle quietly. Neli’s idea of each jumping in a ship from the pirates’ fleet and running as fast as they could wasn’t a bad thing. But getting new IDs for the ships in a timely manner seemed like it would be expensive and difficult. “Parts,” Brinna said giving Sorr a mischievous smile before turning to eye Neli and Porro. “Ships are quickly noticed when they go missing and easy to track. Parts not so much. This thing goes belly up and we need to make a quick grab, we take parts.”

Sorr as usual jumped on the fun. “I’m pretty sure that pirates have a good sense of humor, and expect talk of stealing. Besides, your mic is hot. We’re just background noise.”

Trying to convince the pirates the conversation was about the weather was quite funny. “I just kept saying to myself. For good weather always find the nearest asteroid belt,” Brinna commented loudly with a wink for Sorr.

“Relax Captain. Dalak is a good guy, remember? True to his word. And if he isn’t, well honestly we just run like heck. No need to keep our heads out for a bunch of pirates,” Brinna responded with a smile. “Captain is a worrier. But our skills always end up meeting the challenge,” Brinna remarked to Alora. “Take her in Captain. I think the crew is ready to accept our pirate booty mission.”

Neli occasionally glanced back at Alora Kamari Alora Kamari and he watch of the group, "Quiet one huh?" she joked lightly.
”She can be pretty darn perfect sometimes,” Porro commented with a wink to Neli this time. [/div]
She rolled her eyes but grinned at Porro's comment, "Only sometimes?" the girl challenged followed by a very exaggerated offended look and turning her chin up at him.

Sorr Kortu Sorr Kortu really was scared by her joke about ships and she grimaced slightly, "Sorry cap, 'tis but a joke though. If they can't handle that they're in the wrong business." she muttered, though Brinna Dara Brinna Dara had a bit more tech knowledge on the way for the circumstances, fortunately getting Neli more out of the fire in the primace.

She gave Sorry another amused look at his final comment,
"Think I could charge my blaster with it, might be running a little low." she suggested as she got up and stretched ready for whatever they were going to have to deal with for talking with this Dalak guy, she patted Alora on the shoulder, "We've got this, no worries. Bad idea if they feel like betraying this bunch."
