PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Neli Marai V'Trechen
  • Affiliation: Neli
  • Model: None
  • Modularity: No
  • Production: Unique
  • Material: Songsteel, lightsaber crystals, basic lightsaber parts, Opila,
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Lightsaber
  • Size: Average,
  • Weight: Light
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Focused blade: Neli’s lightsaber uses a longer and thinner blade, allowing each strike to require less effort to penetrate a target and is more focused allowing greater precision. The use of Opila which considerably increases its intensity and destructive capacity the blade is an incredibly dangerous cutting and stabbing weapon.
  • Songsteel hilt and crossguard allowing her to defend against sliding blades and use less used methods more resembling those used by swordsmen.
  • Alternating systems: Rather than a singular focused system relying on one set, Neli’s lightsaber uses three smaller quickly alternating systems. The result is that it can handle unusual circumstances such as being set underwater or weapons designed to overload or absorb the energy from the weapon, this is because the triple system allows each one to cool off and activate faster. In the chance that the weapon does get a damaged system, it is more likely to return to partial functionality quicker, if possible.
STRENGTHS
  • Songsteel hilt and stylized crossguard make it especially difficult to damage.
  • Focused blade provides greater precision and ease of striking.
  • Able to function in difficult circumstances due to an alternating crystal/emitter system somewhat like an advanced Bifurcating cyclical-ignition pulse
  • A locked slot at the base of the weapon allows Neli to open it up to do repairs, but requires tools to do so.
  • Perfect for one hand, though a second hand can help with specific motions for stability, it is not meant to remain on the hilt constantly.
WEAKNESSES
  • It has less width, resulting in the weapon causing comparably less destruction for each successful strike as opposed to a successful strike (assuming they cover the same distance in one direction).
  • More difficult to catch blaster fire with due to the thinner blade.
  • The weapon uses a crossguard which makes it harder to hide.
  • Requires tools to repair the weapon if damaged.
  • Not good for full two handed movements.
DESCRIPTION
Neli first started working on her lightsaber with her mother. Also a fan of somewhat more uncommon lightsaber styles, Neli however didn’t want to use the length altering weapon her mother used, preferring something that was less complex and more designed for her own purposes. However, she wanted to do it on her own. Neli had the crystals, the parts, and could get the tools. She even had a functioning one of a sort, it was making it actually finished that took a lot of time. She went over different design ideas again and again. However, Neli didn’t end up taking anything too complex application wise, rather wanting to make something that was just the best version of what it appeared to be. The weapon had a longer thin blade, and a songsteel hilt and crossguard, designed for swift movements and stabs rather than the sweeping motions that many other jedi used, taking full advantage of the lightness a lightsaber had compared to a sword. It used an Opila crystal, furthering the intensity and destructive capacity it was capable of. The problem was the system. Her mother warned her that some methods could endanger a lightsaber, and things like a Bifurcating cyclical-ignition pulse would help fix the issue. Neli decided to follow the same thought process, simply adding a third system. The reason this was difficult was less the system itself, but the size of her hilt being slightly thinner than typical as it was meant for a one handed, especially as she expected to dual wield the weapon with another, or just keeping her second hand free for movement. The triple system made it a more durable blade which helps keep it functioning when others might not.
