Transmission from Geonosis

Light speed was beautiful, even if it didn't last very long. It was a truly beautiful thing, whole star systems passing by in a instant. Truly magical, however, these thoughts were rudely abrupted by a call over the Holonet. Meta quickly got up, he was not in his armour, he recognised the caller to be his master. Meta quickly picked up his helmet and put it on, then answered the call. His master and young women appeared on screen. "What is it?" Meta asked, unaware if he was talking about the girl or the reason for he call. "Somebody sent a destress call our way." A fourth voice chipped in, a protocol droid appeared in the corridor of the ship. "Master DragonsFlame and his Apprentice would like you to accompany them." Metas posture was calm but his mind was screaming. APPRENTICE?! IM HIS APRENTICE! WHO'S THIS SCHUTTA?!?! Though that remained inside. "Where did the call originate from?" The protocol droid replied quickly. "From Geonosis, a group of republic soldiers were recently deployed there to recover something from the wreckage of an old separatist factory. They've gone dark I'm afraid." Meta nodded and moved to his controls, not looking towards the screen. "Alright, I'll see you when I get there." He then ended the call abruptly and punched in the co-ordinates.

Josh sighed. This distress signal was disturbing, he wondered if it was due to the Sith or the Suns. He looked over at Akodya.

"You sure you're up for this?" he asked his Padawan. The Council had decided to put DragonsFlame, Akodya and Meta on this mission, in hopes it would be a good learning experience for the two under their Master's watch. Josh just hoped Meta was ready to do missions already...

"Of course Master, Why wouldn't I be?" She said, crossing her arms over her chest. She hoped her master wasn't doubting her strength for the mission they were on there way to. Walking away from the holoterminal on the ship and looking out into the vast emptiness of space, the planet on which the distress signal was coming from stood out like a sore thumb. Her hazel eyes lingered on the world for a moment before snatching her gaze back.

Although Akodya would never admit it to anyone, she was sightly nervous working with another padawan. Being social wasn't her strongest point. She couldn't come to a conclusion on the other student's thoughts on her, as his face was hidden away behind a mask. If they were to be working together on this mission, she wanted it to go as smoothly as possible. No hiccups. Unfortunately, she didn't think that could happen if Meta wasn't fond of her. Keeping her expression unreadable she fiddled with her lightsaber hilt that was strapped to her belt.

As the vessel made it's careful decent into the planet's atmosphere, the padawan's back straightened. Soon enough the ship touched ground with a small jerk of the landing gear and the exit opened to reveal the quiet spaceport hanger.

The landing pad was desolate, only the republic ship and Meta's ship were in the hangar. Meta had already left his ship and was studying the files and journal entries onboard the republic ship, finding nothing. All data had been wiped other than one entry and all it was; was the sound of blaster fire and then something that caused a stir in the force, the ignition of a lightsaber. Meta saved the data to his data pad, and just as promised his Master's ship landed in the hangar bay adjacent from his own ship. Meta made his way off of the republic ship, he was fully robed now. Dawning his blue cloak and his gold and blue armour. The long slender partly golden lightsaber dangling from his left hip and his Glaive tightly attached to the right, not to mention a vibro dagger attached to his hip. Even at his height, the long and dark cloak made it seem as if his body reached spaces it didn't. The hood devouring his masked face, the helmet hiding whatever emotions he might of been feeling, if any at all. All of this was clean, carefully looked after and had been repaired and reknitted several times. Meta admittedly had some vanity issues, just stopping to look in a window once in a while.
But, it wasn't that important. But, he wasn't dressing to impress, the cloak was a good way of hiding his weapons and armour. However he did not need it for that today, now standing still with his arms folded, his head tilted but his eyes lingering on the landing pad extending from his masters ship, he stood still awaiting their arrival.

Making her way down the boarding platform Akodya caught sight of a figure striding towards her and her master. The healer's eyes immediately feel on the long, dense cloak that was draped over the tall man's shoulders. The artificial light of the hanger bounced of the extravagant armor he wore, making it hard to focus on the other being. A metallic mask covered the man's face and shielded his expression, leaving it a mystery to Akodya. Maintaining her proper posture she walked gracefully to meet her fellow padawan half way.

Much to Akodya's surprise, she felt severally under dressed when comparing herself to Meta. Her robes were simple and consisted of few colours, mainly grey and black. Her emerald saber was the only weapon she carried. Her pockets were usually fulled with medical supplies rather than knives or whatever others might carry. Flicking a loose strand of her dark hair of her face she stared up at the young man that towered over her, her gaze not wavering despite the coldness of his mask.

When Meta first caught sight of the other padawan, he was hoping for some lazy and improper, stupid looking idiot. It was obvious he didn't quite take a good look at her over the holocam. She wore simple robes and jedi clothing and a simple design of lightsaber dangled from her waist. She looked proper and how she held herself suited the part, although. He could read in her expression she was analysing his robes and armour. Feeling overdressed, he looked vacantly about the empty spacious hangar. He could run away to his ship and get changed, but that would take time and simply look strange. So he simply did as she did and walked towards her. They met centre stage, it was times like this he was thankfu- You're seeing this too right? 'Not you again...' he thought. Look at her! She is damn fine, am I right? 'However, good looking she may be. I'am here on a mission, not to mate.' OH PLEASE! You're body is more than enough of to stop that from happening, no matter how drunk they are! Meta hid the conflict he was feeling. 'Shut up, I'm well aware of how repellent my physical appearance is.' You better be! That's why YOU are still a virg- 'Thats ENOUGH out of you little one.' He banished his inner conscience from his mind and focused on the present. She stood before him, staring directly at him. But she only saw the hood and cloak, the mask. "Well, hello." He said, showing as little emotion behind it as possible. Restraining himself completely.

"Hello there, Padawan Meta. You the first padawan I have met that is also under our Master's guidance." She said with a small smile, her tone stiff and formal. She was never any good an introductions. Folding her hands neatly behind her back she dipped her head in a small bow, her eyes not leaving the shining mask. She felt a bit unsure of herself around this padawan, as she couldn't read him as easy without seeing his face. The only hint as to what he was thinking was his voice, and that wasn't going to give her anything anytime soon. The empty hanger soon fell into a pregnant silence. Akodya still couldn't get over how TALL he was. It was slightly intimidating. Realizing she hadn't actually told Meta her name, she inwardly sighed.

"I am Padawan Mune, by the way." She said, referring to herself in a proper matter, rather than giving him her corsucanti first name. She held out her delicate hand for him to shake.

Meta didn't know what she meant by the hand. Most people greeted him with a blaster bolt. However, his social understanding soon kicked in. He stared at it for a moment, and a long slender arm came out from under the cloak. The gold and navy metal covering his hand touching the soft and tender skin of hers. It was probably cold. He didn't know what to make of her. "I know who you are Akodya Mune, I did some research while you two took your time getting here..." He soon let go of her hand after a single casual shake. "And unfortunately there aren't too many files you'll find on me. Most people trying to file reports on me have." He tilted his head, impressed by his own capability to remain tranquil. "Some how come to find themselves dissuaded from doing so." He had a snide grin on his face as the words left his mouth, however she could not see that.

Josh glared daggers at @[member="Meta "]as he spoke.

"That's not exactly... How a Jedi should be acting" Josh chided, crossing his arms and shaking his head. "You need to work on your conduct in order to be respected as a Jedi, Meta. In public, you represent our Order as a whole by your attitude and your actions. Your conduct will, as well when you become a Knight, serve as a standard bearer, an example, to Padawans and others who look up at you. You need to learn to set an example"

He didn't want to lecture his Padawan here. But he'd been showing a rather harsh conduct, not to mention his flashes of anger were starting to concern him. It would have to be dealt with before Meta did something he'd learn to regret.

Meta nodded. "You are correct, however. I prefer to remain ambiguous." He commented before remembering his recording. "Master, there was a recording on the republic ship." He threw the data pad to his master. "Listen to the recording." He asked, before sliding his hands into his robe.

Akodya's eyes quickly turned to slits. The other padawan had the nerve to threaten her. Snatching her had away as soon as the dark words left his mouth Akodya felt a chill pulse down her body from his cold menacing touch. At this point, it was hard to believe he was also a student of the light. Akodya opened her mouth to let him know little she cared about his empty thread, but soon closed it when their Master approached. The blonde scolded the masked giant before Meta reluctantly nodded and tossed a datapad at him.

Akodya crossed her arms over her breasts and continued to glare at the other padawan. Great. He obviously didn't like her. She wondered what he must have seen on her files that made him end up with such a negative view of her. Flicking her long hair off her shoulder she corrected her posture and waited for @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] to begin the recording, her blazing eyes not wavering from Meta's mask.

@Meta

Meta had been awaiting their master to begin the recording, it felt like it was lasting a millenia. His eyes were formidable in staring on the course of his master, but it felt as though the devils eyes were open him. His eyes darted to her then back to his masters, then back again, so on and so forth. 'What is she doing?' No,, hold on, what exactly are you doing threatening her? 'Last time I tried to be nice to a girl, we got a vibroblade to the back.' Yes I know, we have trouble issues but. Come on, we have to give her a chance... duuuude. 'No, it's much safer if she doesn't like me at all. I always disappoint when it comes to friends. There isn't really much point in us making friends. So I-' What? Make enemies instead? 'No, I just don't w-' Ok, well you've gone too far then haven't you? 'What do you mean?' I mean, LOOK AT THE COLD STARE OF DEATH SHE IS GIVING US MAN! Meta for once concentrated on her eyes. 'Ooooh, oh dear. That doesn't look very pleasant.' EXACTLY, so... try being nicer and try caring. Give it a shot! 'No.' Huh? Come on, we need to get over this! 'You're fully aware as much as I am that this whole things about friends doesn't work for us.' This will be different for u- 'Listen to me you wretch, last time I cared about someone. They turned on me and tried to turn me in to the Empire! And he was a jedi just like her, I can't expect this particular jedi do be any different from the rest! I will NEVER TRUST ANYONE AGAIN!' His inner voice had went silent, he had retreated into what ever part of Meta's brain consisted of a good human being, which unfortunately felt like there was very little. Meta soon realised how much anger was burning off him. But luckily, this time there were no tears. Meta fumbled for a reason to walk away from the two. "I am going to scout the perimeter." He said, his voice was struggling to maintain the cold attitude he had recently approached the situation with. Meta turned around and walked away from the two towards the two large doors that were half functioning and half open.

Plasma scoring on both, obvious signs of a battle. He rested his hand on the scared platting of the doors, then slipped through the door way to the other side. But, then he checked if either of the two were following him, they were not. Good, maybe he'd have a chance to use his Glaive. He was desperate, desperate to find anything he could inflict his pain and anger on. Then, walking he could find nothing. His irritance grew, his fists were clenched. He stopped himself. You are a jedi now. Let go of the anger, do it for us! Meta nodded and fell back on a wall, breathing heavily, deeply and slowly. He released his final breath like he was banishing the pain from his body. He pushed himself upright, and let out a long sigh of relief.

The stiff feeling in the air seemed to hold time captive as Akodya waited impatiently for her master to play the recording. As they stood for what seemed like forever, the human padawan still struggled to grasp a hint of what her fellow padawan was thinking. His tall, motionless form cast a heavy shadow over the trio. The human felt so minuscule in comparison to the young man. Stang, what do you eat? She thought to herself, her pupils were still looked angrily on his mask, as if she was trying to melt the metal with the fierceness of her gaze. Despite the man obvious need to stay hidden judging by his choice of dress, his mental barriers were very weak. Extending her awareness to the boy, she was suddenly struck with an over powering rage. She could feel the anger boiling within him like hot, thick lava...forcing itself to the surface. Akodya almost stumbled back at the sheer suddenness of it. Pulling herself back she took a sharp breath inwards, trying to take it look like she hadn't experienced a thing.

The other padawan excused himself and muttered something about the perimeter, his voice shaking in barely suppressed hostility. As he stormed off, she raised an eyebrow. Maybe he got the message I don't exactly enjoy his presence? she thought. A pang of guilt prickled in her chest.

No, don't give him the satisfaction.

After a moment, Akodya groaned. The right thing to do was to see if he was alright. Plus, she wanted to investigate the surrounding area. Regaining her perfect posture she strode out the same way Meta had, noting the signs of struggle that were written on the walls as blaster fire. She found him slumped against a wall, breathing deeply. After he pulled himself back to his feet, Akodya made her presence known.

"Are you alright?" She said simply, her eyes flickering over him.

Meta took a moment to realise she was standing there, acting like he was looking around. He didn't turn, but kept on looking around at the scorch marks. "I'm fine." He said, looking around. He found a long corridor that had a few blood stains on it but nothing else. Socialise you big idiot! Meta turned his head in her direction, the cloak twisting at the neck line. "Are you?" He asked, before turning his whole body in her direction. He got the feeling she sensed his emotions, he had always been weak to mental powers. His mind wasn't stable. Though, this time he was placing up a barrier. He didn't want her walking in his head. He just kept his mind running, he read over his notes and books in his mind, so if she went for another peek. That's all she would find. She stood there in the doorway, still in her Miss Perfect Schutta Face posture. He looked her up and down whilst he waited for her to reply, reading her body language and expression. He didn't honestly know why she asked or why she cared enough to do so.
His posture however didn't change very often, except now his hand rested on his waist beside his lightsaber, the cloak clinging to his arm, the underlying layer of the navy cloak was black, he stared at her, awkwardly. He felt like she was taking forever, but only a moment had passed.

Patience. A quality of the Jedi that these two were still learning. Josh had waited until Meta's little inner conflict was over , he couldn't sense what he was saying or what "it" was saying, but judging by the anger he could sense within, it must have been pretty damn heated.

Josh just kind of stared at Meta, almost as if saying "Are you done?" As he waited for the recording to be played.

He put the recording in as both Padawans went outside. He watched them from the door as he hit play, his arms crossed, a smirk on his face.

The brute hadn't even bothered to face her when Akodya asked her question. Mumbling a response he continued to study the marks, before finally craning his neck to look her in the eyes and uttering her a question to answer.

"Oh, I'm good, despite the fact I was threatened earlier on. Look, I can understand if you aren't here to make friends and get cozy but I'd appreciate if you were civil. As for..." She hesitated, trying to find a word that wouldn't offend him. "As for the upset I may have coursed, I apologize." She said, dropping the stiff and sickly sweet formal tone she reserved for introductions. She couldn't tell what his reaction was at this point, that damn mask was going to be a problem. Shifting her gaze to the scorch marks that scarred the hanger walls, she ran her fingers gently over the still warm marks.

"Seems there was a confrontation here recently, blasters and...a saber. Judging by these marks." She muttered, the Geonosis breeze gently brushing against her skin.

"I've already listened to the recording master." He said, he didn't know how he felt about her feeling threatened or that she felt as though she had caused his anger or an upset attitude. As his master turned away to listen to the recording he made his way towards her. "Look, me walking off? It had nothing to do with you. If we get a moment I'll explain." He said, still using his cold tone. He didn't want to upset her but he didn't necessarily like her superficial attitude. "And I wasn't threatening you." He said, then walking past her to his Master.

"Well, it sure sounded like it. What in the galaxy did you read on my files that made you react like that? You know what, it doesn't matter. You don't need to explain yourself." She said, crossing her arms and following him towards their master. Stang, his voice was so cold. She had decided to not worry about the other padawan at this point. Returning her focus to the mission at hand, she wondered about the fight that must have happened here. Light saber marks could only mean one thing, there was a force user involved. The question was, however, was the being aggressive? Snatching her eyes away from the walls she hurried to catch up.

"Any sign of a hint?"

Meta didn't reply as they came within hearing distance of his master, he felt her anger. But he did not welcome it, Meta stopped beside his master, still looking around at the battle scarred grounds. He ran through some ideas as to what may have transpired here. There were no bodies, which he found odd.
