The landspeeder limo slipped through the streets of Onderon almost silently towards the One Galactica Hotel. Inside it, Gir meticulously took his lint roller up and down his new uniform. While he still hadn't become accustomed to being called a general yet, he did decide that it had a certain ring to it that Commodore did not. Maybe it's a historical thing, you read about General Dodonna, General Skywalker and the other General Skywalker in the data files, but when was the last time you read about a commodore doing anything special? He shook the thoughts from his head and turned to face his date, Captain, no...Major Ryies of the Argus.
Shaking her head, Ryies let a wry grin spread across her face, "I'm trying to figure something out..."
"What's that?"
"How is there any lint left on that thing? Does it magically appear on your uniform?"
"It seems that way to me," said Gir with a sigh.
"Uh-huh, well, unfortunately for you, the limo's stopped," said the major.
Gir nodded, dropped the lint roller, and unceremoniously opened the door of the limo to stand at the edge of the hotel. As he stood up, a wash of comfortably cool air briefly caressed his face. His sapphire blue eyes shot up to spot the tallest point on the hotel before he remembered that the major was still behind him. He quickly side-stepped to hold open the door for the brunette.
