Timekeeping within the Star Wars Universe

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
What forms of marking each day do people use in the Star Wars universe? As far as I personally know, there's no Wednesdays. No Christmas. Do they use a 365-day year when every planet has a different cycle? What terminology and what amount is used for short, medium, and long pieces of time?

As far as I know, they have:
  • seconds
  • minutes
  • hours
  • days
  • weeks
  • months
But do they have names for months? Are there holidays? How long is a month? Is there a standard year?

I have questions.
