Invasion Through the Gates of Hell (Republic Invasion of Empress Teta - Republic vs. One Sith)

Darth Armyss

Nobleman, Sith, and Womanizer
Location: The Grand Library - Main Hall
Objective: Locate the bomb
Allies: Toxarien

While the other acolyte went to attend to the alarms, Albrecht began to enter a trance where he stood, closing his eyes and opening himself up to the Dark Side. The unseelie had been provided to assist him in combat, but now, they were going to be vital for locating the bomb before it was too late. A visible, dark red aura emanated from the box behind him, then enveloped his body as the unseelie's force nexus boosted his abilities far beyond what he would normally be able to do. He only had one thing on his mind: find the bomb, and if possible, the turncoat that planted it.

He began to see the library's internal structure in his mind's eye, and one by one, he began to sweep through each room, looking for something out of place. It was going to take him some time to search the entire building due to its size, but he knew that he had to manage to the best of his abilities, somehow.

Failure was not an option this time.

Suddenly an idea popped into the half-blood's mind, and he grinded to a stop, panting slightly. He had just noticed the fire alarms all across the ceiling of the building. That would be enough to shut the place down, he thought. But how to set them off? That was simple. He pulled off the combined power of the dark side and the Fanged God of Dathomir, letting the dark side flow through him and empower him to shape it. He called on all his anger and hate, his frustration at not being able to kill his opponent earlier, his hate for the traitor, and all the other emotions inside of him. He imagined the fire inside of his heart, imagining it turning into a roaring bonfire. And then suddenly he felt his power enhance greatly, far stronger than anything he could have created through channeling his hate. It was almost as if there was an external source feeding his power, making it grow. He shrugged, that worked for him. He lifted his hand towards the ceiling, feeling his body overheat, and his arm begin to burn with the barely contained power within him. His vision went red, and fire blasted from his fingertips, starting the fire alarm immediately. Feeling more power rise up within him, he blasted a nearby bookshelf with the force, smashing it to splinters. He turned and went to find the other Sith, wherever he was at.

Albrecht could only barely sense the alarm coming online, which sealed off almost all means of exiting...but for some reason, failed to seal the windows on one of the rooms close to the roof. Assuming it was a gaseous agent, the chemical weapon would need to have a means of dispersing over a wide area. If it was anywhere in the library, that would be the most likely candidate. On the downside, the room was filled to the brim with priceless artifacts from throughout Teta's history, from a power coupling left from Jori and Gav Daragon's Starbreaker 12 to a pair of Sith swords that had been inherited at one point by Aleema and Satal Keto, the leaders of the Krath regime during the Krath Holy Crusade and the Great Sith War. Finding the bomb was going to be like finding a needle in a haystack, or in other words: time-consuming and, more likely than not, unpleasant.

He left his trance at long last and pulled the repulsor sled containing the unseelie into a turbolift, then pressed a button to take him up...only to be reminded that a lockdown also locked any use of the turbolifts as well. Rolling his eyes in annoyance, he pressed a few keys on the control console to override the lockdown on that particular turbolift for that one use, then began to ride it up to the top floor.

Marcus had seconds, literal seconds, probably less, to react. Trakata was an art he'd used himself, so the second the saber deactivated, the weight displaced Sith began turning. But he had a sinking feeling he was going to enup on his ass once more. As he fell back his motion batted the blade aside, but not before it slashed across his abdomen. Pain shot through him violently, igniting his hatred once more. Landing on his back once more a violent force push was punched at Traycn. Again Marcus was attempting to shift the playing field, his state of distraction meant the assassin hadn't been playing to his strengths, this would change now, or he'd die. One option was more preferable.

"As am I." He responded, bringing himself back up onto his feet. His eyes looked desperately for a week spot on the beskar, and found purchase at the joints and neck areas. Only problem was Traycn would break his arm if he made a shot at his neck, so he'd work around it eventually. But he'd have to keep the Jedi busy long enough to get in close enough to put his gauntlets to use.

Hearing the beast's voice the young man's hand fell to his side, the pain easing away, or rather being pushed to the back of his mind. There was still a tingling, burning sensation at the nape of his neck...But like all things that would pass. Taking a deep breath his gaze locked on him. Another beast he had not seen in his short life, where did the Sith keep getting these strange beings? It mattered not. He let the Sith speak, it would allow him to get whatever had sent him limping this way off his chest and give Turin time to assess the situation and do some preparation of his own.

The Sith had to be thought of as an obstacle. He would not dignify the Sith's words with a response telling him how he was wrong, that he was no Jedi, but even that little bit of information could give away his identity and even with his aid on this planet, he doubted the ministry of Justice would simply hand wave his past sins as easily as the Jedi seemed to. With his gaze locked on the burning pits that were this massive beast's eyes he centered himself, drawing on the Force as he sped up the molecules in the beast's eyes themselves, slowly at first. He did not know the biology of this creature, but if it had been human or some other species with tear ducts, they would be welling up, releasing their tears, warm, maybe a tinge of red. He would not give mercy like he did to that unlucky Mandalorian on Bastion. This Sith was a real threat, and pulling punches was not going to get him anywhere.

Gripping his remaining two lightsabers from their hilts he stood at the ready for any counter attack. The Sith were a cancer that needed to be cut out of the Galaxy.

And Turin was the scalpel.

Awareness had come to him again, though the disorientation from his ordeal had yet to completely wear off, given that he had just resurfaced. The thunder of the cetacean sith advancing on their position made no sense for several moments until it began to draw his attention to the direction the quick, quaking thumps were coming from... just as...

"EEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYKKKKK!"

...and one hand went to one ear, one free hand, but the other was still occupied by the help from the Icarii. No matter the circumstances of his appendages, it was too little, too late. He barely heard the shriek before pain shot through his head, his eardrums ruptured, pulling from him a scream of his own. He had never felt anything like it. The pain was astounding, easily robbing him of most of the focus he had barely begun to regain. He wrenched his arm from around the Icarii aide, and applied that hand to the other ear, as if doing so would help at all, as if it would cease the ringing that began to settle in, or the dull, immediate headache the rupture produced, then bent, and slipped to his knees. All the loud sounds of battle from before were muffled, even his own scream of pain had sounded somewhat distant, the thunder of it in his head much more significant than the noise it had created.

But the pain within his ears was already dull, the sharp spike of the rupture having been the brunt of it, and... oh. He lifted one hand away - from the right ear - and looked at it, to see the source of the warm dampness, which now ran out of both his ears, and down his face. A red, one he had seen before, but never from there. Not in all the times in his previous life, playing for a crowd, had this ever happened. They had never gotten loud enough, but it was still loud. Then he remembered the others.

He looked up...

...and he saw...

...a whale?

The whale seemed to pause for a moment, then just as yet another beastly sith appeared in his field of vision, the wha-- no, he remembered, they were called Herglics - began moving on the others, while the other beast began to speak. Jan's eyes were wide, as fear came up in him like a wellspring, but that growing part of him, that strong resolve sat on his fear and squashed it down. His brow knit in confusion, the words Shara was speaking muffled as if the Sith had a sock in his mouth, and further disoriented by the symptomatic tinnitus.

Well, that was annoying, and there was a greatsaber coming! What could he...? Oh yes, thar is tha', he thought, taking his attention away from it all for just a scant half of a moment, enough time to erect a bubble of protection. Then, with the bubble erected, he dragged his eyes up and looking pointedly in irritation at Shara, he spoke. No, he yelled. He couldn't hear himself, otherwise.

"SORRY, MATE. AH CANNAE UNDERSTAND YE, ON ACCOUNT O'YAR FRIEND 'ERE BEING A MORON."

Hopefully he didn't take that the wrong way.

He had delivered Maya back into the fold of the Silver Jedi. Though at a cost. She had attacked him, completing her turn to the Dark Side. Iella and the others may save her, but she would never be the same woman he once knew on Voss as a padawan. The council member of Philosophy and Jedi Master weaved through the rubble. He was known as the Keeper of the Code, and known as an extreme traditionalist. Though that did not hold him back from battle. For a thousand generations the Jedi Knights may have kept peace and balance in the galaxy, but when the Sith came howling, the Jedi knew it could only be met with war. They could not stand idly by as they ravaged worlds, enslaving populations and brainwashing the innocents of countless species.

His eyes pierced the surroundings, watching as a Kel Dor fled from the scene. With cat-like reflexes his hand curled around the grip of an AB-1 heavy blaster pistol, pulling it free from its holster. The speed of his movements defied common sense. He sighted down the iron scopes and fired seven times. Index finger slapped against the trigger. He was aiming right for the weapons Astraios held, attempting to shoot them out of his hands. Before the Exotic Weapons Master could ascertain if he had been successful, he slammed the blaster back into it's holster and retrieved his Lightsaber Pike. He placed himself into a break-neck sprint. His heavy durasteel boots thudding loudly against the pavement. The sound was akin to a charging bull as he closed the distance, finally launching himself at the Acolyte. He attempted to bring down the full weight and great strength of his body upon the Sith with a move known as the Falling Avalanche.

Ki'an was on the move. The minute he'd gone through the hole in the wall he had sprang up and started running. He was tired from the days fighting, but he was able to fuel his movements by relying heavily on the force. Soon he heard the footfall of the Sith following him. As he rounded a bend, Ki'an leapt to the side as a hail of blaster fire shot down toward his back. Luckily the assault on the city had left rubble and the buildings that could be used as cover. Ki'an continued to move, using the buildings and anything else he could as cover. He needed a good location to make a stand. Luckily it was clear by the sound of the footfalls behind him that he was only being followed by one of the Sith. No doubt they believed he was weak enough for only one of them too take him....odds are they may even be right.

Ki'an followed what little knowledge he had of the city to trace his way further away from the main fighting. He could heard the Sith catching up to him, he was faster than Ki'an was. Just when he thought he wouldn't find a good spot, Ki'an saw it. It was a small courtyard bathed in shadow by a large building on its left. The courtyard was covered in trees and brush. Ki'an sprinted into the courtyard and immediately turned into the brush and trees. He moved into the shadows and pulled his cloak around him. Using the force he pulled inward, making himself harder to detect. Ki'an waited there. He heard the Sith catching up to him. He hoped to catch him in an ambush and if not, they could continue the fight here. As Ki'an waited in the cover, he sensed another approaching, someone on his side.

He knew he was being shot at, but only his pistol was shot out of his hand. Just before it had been hit, he had let go of it and continued forwards. He was close to right behind the Jedi, and he figured that whoever was shooting would follow him. Why not? People always followed you when they had the chance of saving their comrades. Then he eventually followed the Kel'Dor into a courtyard and he concealed himself.

It's not like the Kel'dor had escaped him, he had only ran himself into a dead end from the looks of it, and he had been right behind him anyway. So there were only few places where the Padawan could hide in reality. Sending one hand behind his back, he grasped the second disruptor pistol that was on the small of his back, he felt as if his spine would be torn out of it's spot in it's body from how much it was tingling. So he decided to stop it by diving forwards while [member="Hasjo Hallu"] was still in the air, and once he had completed the roll, fired three shots into the Jedi Master's centre mass.

He was ready for the ambush.

Ki'an didn't have long to contemplate the situation. He was tired but he didn't have time to rest, the Sith would be entering the courtyard any minute now. Moving slowly through the bushes and the trees, Ki'an made his way toward the back of the courtyard. When the Sith entered it was clear his attention wasn't wholely on Ki'an. He wasn't entirely sure why that was, but suddenly he got his answer. The feeling he'd gotten in the force was reinforcements!

As the Sith entered the courtyard, a Jedi entered quickly behind him, attacking with a powerful overhead attack. When the Sith turned to fire his pistol at the new Jedi, Ki'an made his move. He leapt from cover so that he was alongside the Sith and came forward with a two handed slash at his midsection. He knew the Sith was fast and he was sure that he was aware that Ki'an was trying to ambush him in here, but he hoped that he would be too preoccupied with the other Jedi's attack that Ki'an's might take him by surprise.

OBJECTIVE:

The fist fight had begun but Saki was moving as an extension of the force, oneness was something jedi and sith had used giving them abilities far beyond their own normally. Tutaminis was taught as a basic to all jedi, standard for converting heat and energy to disperse it safely. Her eyes remained gold and glowing while her fist struck a barrier but telekinetic barries were something tricky.... namely if your making it to protect you wouldn't be able to punch through it otherwise your hand would be stuck coming back. By all technicalities they were both punching a solid wall trying to break through and Saki remained where she was letting the vaapad timed strikes go. A blur of motion to impact while she crackled golden energy off herself as she continued to focus allowing the force to shadow strike with distortions behind Daichi and aimed at his head. His barrier working to protect her same as him.

[member="Saki"]
The thing about Daichi was he wasn't using basic barriers. No, he was forming the barrier between her fists and his body where they would land. Including behind his head. But even then the strikes pushed him, sent him past her as he stumbled. His footwork seemed off, and a lame punch, weak considered to his others went right for her chest.

Bit this was a ruse, his other hand was free, and crackling lighting already shot out for her legs, a quick jolt to paralyze her. While she had increased her movements and strength with the Force, he improved his control and thought process. He was thinking faster then she moved, he had always been doing so. The last trap was se.t

Balaya was moving now holding the sith as she jumped out of the ship, stepping into the battlefield again as she looked around. Now wasn't the time for using the saber but she was going after the other sith. The message from Darth Isolda clear but she couldn't get the bombs and carry her sister. She needed to make a choice and moved towards her ship, the med bay and bio labs there could easily be sealed from chemicals and she had landed it on the planet to unleash the hold of unseelie and blackguards. A smirk came upon her face though while she moved and entered the ship securing Naomi with the medical droids and the tank. "Get her inside and patched up, make sure the doors are sealed." The droids acknowledged her while she moved to join [member="Darth Shara"] and the others with him.

People seem to be coming and going from the library like nobody’s business. Let me know if, again, I missed something. And I mean it, y’all. I’ve been bad.

The light reached out and touched many dark acolytes — them not being as used to deflecting such a technique as perhaps [member="Darth Arcis"], [member="Darth Vornskr"] and Lady Exedo were. The light twisted back into her stomach (or at least, that’s what it looked like. She was really just losing control as the own bit of shadow within her squirmed angrily).

The Kiffar stopped in time to see Shinju racing toward her, and instead of the stale mannequin the cannibal anticipated slicing, Kiskla’s long legs activated to a hooking-kick. The shoulders that were mean to slam engaged with her heels and behind the knees as the blonde twisted, using her arms for momentum and quite literally turning her body in order to twist Shinju to the ground. Kind of like a bottle opener.
From this, her right arm extended as she crouched -- her balance somewhat off after that twist and kick -- a push radiating from her palm toward the woman to give her some more distance. Unfrotunately, Kiskla had been a little preoccupied and hadn't made the observations others had about the woman's reflecting attire.

The Force penetrated every inch of his being. As he came crashing down over Astraios, about to unleash the full might of his power. He saw the pistol. His left hand retracted from the hilt of his dual Lightsaber Pike. His hand instinctively moved to the centre of his chest, in the path of the disruptors blast. It could destroy any being down to the molecular level. Fortunately for Hasjo this was not his first rodeo. The Sith Hunter had fought a vicious path across the galaxy. Training in Coruscant temple since the age of four. He was taught many skills, one of them known as Tutaminis. An umbrella ability that covered a range of powers. He allowed the beam to strike his hands, but rather than attacking him at the molecular level it was known for, it burned brightly in his palm. He landed with a thudding, propelling himself in a series of leaps away from his foe. He absorbed the energy of the attack until nothing was left. In a powerful burst of raw might he channelled the energy into a tremendous force pull directed to Astraios. "Get over here!" Hasjo roared as he performed this. Close quarters combat was his speciality. It took a lot of skill in various areas of combat to be bestowed the title of Exotic Weapons Master. There was no question why he was one of the most lethal swordsmen in the Silver Jedi Order. The first of his Order to receive such a title.

He saw the Jedi Master just absorb the power in such close range and he frowned for a moment, but he didn't have enough time to think about it when he glanced to his side and saw that the Jedi Padawan from earlier was now coming for him, he spun the lightsaber from the left of his body to the hilt and parried it to the ground, just as he was pulled. There was no time for a counter-attack.

All he heard was the order of the Jedi as he was pulled towards him, and in his eyes he panicked because of it. But his hand still snapped forwards with the disruptor in hand and he fired several rounds into the main body mass of the armoured beast that was the Jedi Master. It was his only chance to take the Jedi down, and he knew he wouldn't win in close combat even if he himself specialized in special combat. The Jedi was more advanced in the Force aspect than Astraios most likely, and he knew it'd be a tough battle if he did survive.

He threw a force push to the Kel'dor to keep him away from him, and then he braced himself for whatever attack the Jedi Master would deliver, whilst letting his gaze flicker over the area and see if he could find anything to use as a weapon to aid him.

Shinju felt it, the one apprentice bringing with him those sithspawn she had tasted before. Their bubble of a darkside nexus brimming on her and washing that feeling of the light away, all Shinju wanted to do now was find one and eat him as Kiskla moved. Launching herself and pushing her down towards the ground. The duster opening enough as She slammed into the ground and her chest padding cushioned the blow enough but not the slide along the ground. Scraping the armor as it began to repair itself and she rose up turning her head to follow and track. The darkside energies of the unseelie now hers to devour as they sat on the edge of her perceptions, her eyes burning from the sensation and turning she stood there.

Then as she rose up and stood there the saber in her hand and screaming she felt is, the force push from the jedi while she raised her arms and dug in her feet. Letting the duster's arms protect her head from being snapped back. Then she was up on the roof and Shinju sneered seeing her becoming a problem. At least in the sense she was no longer being pressed for attack, there would have to be a way to get her down and Shinju growled pacing almost predatory now that the others were engaging. She had time to move and deactivated the saber bringing it to her hp and inside the duster before clenching her fists. Pouring more of the force into her body to keep it going.

"Come down little jedi, come and play with me, I just want to play with you. We could even run away together leave all these nasty sith behind. Don't you want to come and play in my land of fun and excitement? Where you can have anything you want." Her smile remained as Shinju looked up and opened more too what was inside the library now, she wanted that darkside energy and suckled at it clenching her fists and drinking, gnawing at it until she wiped at the dried blood and dirt on her mouth that she flung to the ground. It was time for a second wind and to continue the assault as her hands went out.

She wasn't pulling at Kiskla instead at her equipment, the derriphans as they slid back into their sheaths on her back and the scylla sword as it revved up. The dark presence of the sith swords coming to her as well as the sound of the chain spinning, one of the republic soldiers finding it as it bit into him and the teeth shredded the flesh to leave him in pieces. "Come back jedi, you and me have a date and I hate being unattended... makes me want to go out and find those lovely padawan's of yours and eat their faces. Or better yet, take them and send them back to you in pieces."

Slowly getting up, breathing heavily, Darth Veles found there was still strength in his body to fight. Lady Zarrah had expressed her concern for his ability to use the Force as effectively as possible with the many augmentations in his body, but he argued his modifications did not affect his Force sensitivity. Whoever was closer to the truth, Veles couldn't thank himself enough for his decision to install the cybernetic enhancements. Even without the Force, he was still capable of fighting. With no bones broken and his body full of energy due to the incredible ammount of stamina that came from the swimming and exercises multiplied by the cybernetics, he was far from being defeated. The realization urged him to run, as his eyes picked one particularly hated enemy who intended to beat his fellow Sith. Although he originally had no intention of joining this particular fight once more, the Jedi Master's appearance changed his mind. Maybe because of his beloved Maya, maybe it was the intense desire for justice that burned in his heart stronger than before, Veles chased after them.

"His armor is keeping him alive!" he shouted the advice at his fellow Sith as he ran past the two combatants engaged in a fierce duel. Not even stopping to check on them, he sprinted towards the Kel Dor, intending to finally finish him. Releasing a wild flurry of jabs and light cuts at the man's left side, Veles attempted to wear out and further injure the wounded and more tired opponent with a non-lethal series of attacks that lacked the strenght to kill, but had the speed. Also, he wanted to create an opening on the man's right side to be used later. Makashi was in the Mon Cal's blood, his first style of lightsaber combat and also his favorite. Once threatened with a saber lock, the amphibian withdrew his blade downwards, only to follow with a swift flick of his left wrist that brought the blade up in a vertical fashion, aiming to deliver a quick slash across the Kel Dor's right leg before the man had the chance of bringing his blade down and parry it.

Ki'an's attack had failed, but the Sith was unable to counterattack given the distraction by the armored Jedi Master. However, we was able to send a force push in Ki'an direction to keep him away from the fight for a moment. The push didn't send Ki'an crashing back into a wall, but it did knock him back and off his feet. When he rose he was greeted by the sight of his old friend, the Mon Cal Sith closing in on him.

Ki'an's saber moved as if by its own accord, darting around to meet the Sith's Makashi attacks. As a Shien user Ki'an was strong defensively and preferred powerful counter-attacks, but the speed of the Mon Cal's attack forced him to stay on the defensive.....for now. When the final attack came, a downward maneuver and then a cut upwards, Ki'an sidestepped the attack while sweeping his blade from left to right to knock the attack away. He countered by bringing his blade around in an arching slash at the Mon Cal's lightsaber arm. It wasn't as aggressive an attack as was typical of his fighting style, but Ki'an was being cautious with this adversary. His exhaustion from fighting and the Mon Cal's lack of force abilities made it a somewhat fair fight, however the Mon Cal was far more experienced and Ki'an was not about to overestimate his position.

Sesab was running through the wrecked streets of the city, following the sounds of combat. His saber hilt was in his hand but he hadn't ignited it yet. He rounded a sharp bend and noticed multiple duels going on at once. He then noticed his friend and fellow padawan Ki'an, looking quite beat up, and fighting one on one against a Mon Cal Sith lord. He rushed over to help his friend, excitement swelling up in the pit of his stomach. He launched into a series of swift attacks, using his preferred fighting style, Ataru, but utilizing the elegant footwork, lack of strength but lots of speed, and one handed grip of Makashi. He attacked his enemy's back, hoping to get him while he was distracted.
