Invasion Through the Gates of Hell (Republic Invasion of Empress Teta - Republic vs. One Sith)

Location: Outside the Library
Enemies: [member="Darth Veles"] [member="Gerion Blackhand"]
Allies: Galactic Republic

Ki'an was somewhat off balance by his attack when the Sith attacked with a force push. Stumbling backwards, he suddenly found himself rushed by the Sith who struck at his leg with a kick. Ki'an dove over the kick, hitting the ground hard and rolling away from the Sith. He heard the blade swing past him as he rolled and could tell that the Sith's attack had nearly hit him. Coming up from the roll Ki'an experienced a fresh stab of pain as his roll had caused him to hit his ribs.

Suddenly Ki'an found himself looking at the Mon Cal Sith that he had faced earlier. Bringing his saber up he eyed both Sith before him. He crossed his saber in front of him defensively and looked from one to the other. He wasn't sure if they intended on teaming up on him, but then suddenly the Mon Cal Sith was asking the other Sith to stand down so that he could face Ki'an himself. Ki'an hadn't known Sith to fight fair and wasn't about to let down his guard.

"No." The Eldorai said to [member="Darth Veles"] when he asked him stand down. He wasn't going to step away from his first fight against a Jedi, it just didn't work like that. "He's mine." There was determination in his voice and he didn't even turn around to look at the Mon Cal Sith Lord. Then he started to move forwards again, and lunged at the chest middle guard of the Jedi.

Ki'an was surprised to find that the Sith didn't intend to join up but rather wished to face him individually. But he didn't get the opportunity think on this long as the younger Sith was rushing him, his blade poised to strike at Ki'an's chest. Ki'an dropped his blade down and slashed across his chest to push the attack to the side, then he drove forward with the pommel of his saber, hoping to catch the Sith in the face.

"You are wrong. It does not matter who kills the Jedi, what matters is that the threat he presents is eliminated. Do not allow your pride and arrogance blind you." The amphibian stated, slowly pacing after [member="Gerion Blackhand"] who had lunged at the Kel Dor Jedi. Getting between the two wouldn't end up well, so he circled them to get behind the Jedi. With the blaster pistol in his right hand while his left flipper held the curved hilt of a lightsaber, the amphibian pointed the tip of his blade at @Ki'an Karr and raised the gun as well, aiming at the head of the Kel Dor Jedi. Makashi taught Veles to time his attacks, therefore he intended to fire when the Jedi was distracted and couldn't effectively deflect the blaster bolt. Such opportunity presented itself when the Kel Dor attacked. Veles pressed the trigger twice in rapid succession, releasing two bolts towards the man's head.

Now they were moving, the resistance from the Republic was lessening. Their forces now moving to support the supreme chancellor and others near the library where the blackblades were holding ground. That meant here as she walked and grabbed a soldier throwing him into a bulkhead as she went towards the brig. If Naomi was awake or still unconscious she would carry her out of here and go after the rest of the Republic. Darth Shara was handling any jedi in the courtyard and she felt the alert from the eye as it came. Warning them and telling of what was coming, Balaya moved smashing a soldier into the door and smashing it open. Her hands grabbing the door and prying it open while she threw a caries grenade in before she made her way in. "Sister."

He wasn't listening to the words of the Sith Lord, he didn't even know he was talking, not that he was going to care if truth be told. He hadn't wanted interruptions, but it seemed like it was going to happen anyway with the fish out of water. Obviously he couldn't tell when he wasn't wanted.

Since the Jedi was aiming to drive the hilt of his lightsaber into the face of the Sith, Gerion spent no time in ducking down and to the side as he slashed behind him to the back of the Jedi's leg, intending to cut off a leg, or just injure him enough, so that he could easily be killed. He could have done it already since he was wielding two of his own pistols on his person, but he wanted to enjoy himself in the end.

"Sister." Although the word reached her, it did not make it fully into her mind. First Naomi felt the swinging of being carried and the ambient of battle. Then together with the most recent memories came the unnatural heaviness and pain. Slowly she remembered how she ended up in this state, how after being injured she agreed to be an exchange for a Jedi Master and be taken into captivity. Whatever it was they unloaded on her made a good job of keeping her completely out of it until now and was still in effect, making her mostly unable to move, while also dulling her senses. The Miraluka's mind tensed. What happened? Was she still on the ship? Are they going to interrogate, torture her? How much time has passed? Her head burned, figuratively, and her sight was blinded, but she attempted to reach out to her surroundings anyway. Soon the logic stated that the sounds of battle most likely meant that she was on the planet still, that or wherever she was is under attack. By whom? Another question to which no answer could be found.

The dark mark now covering good half of her forehead radiated her struggle. Despite the pain, Naomi somehow managed to inspect her wound. It had received a most urgent patch, but was nowhere near from healed. At least she was not bleeding out. It seemed that most of her senses no longer obeyed her, but one still remained. Being this close, Darth Naomi could feel the force coming from the one carrying her. She would recognize it and connect it to the voice that brought her from the darkness.

"...rescued?"
She would mutter weakly. "Still here..." And with that the dark mark went cold again and she slipped back into oblivion, but a faint smile remained on her lips.

Liek sayin HA!

P.S. Kay, do whatevs dear lady's who's carrying me, just don't throw me in a ditch. I won't be fighting here. Arigato für den sauvetage

A sound escaped the Eldorai - Like the soft, crisp crunch of leaves in the autumn frost, a broken noise - Could it have been a laugh? Impossible to tell, with Helios' unchanging visage, and the very small gap in between his pitch lips. Although Talon's blade moved to block Helios' latest strike, the remark by the Jedi Master, although possibly playful, only increased the Eldorai's ferocity. Tunnel vision isolated Talon in Helios' eyes and allowed him to block out the world itself, or moreso the chaos around them, with its unerring tide of decrepit anti-desolation, disillusionment that seemed to take form, a curling and heavy fog who’s tendrils clawed at ankles and tugged the best of men into a dormant stasis, a putrefaction of both soul and mind. "Gnh.”

His gaze hardened as he looked at Talon, failing to verbally respond to the Jedi, as if he needed to shield himself from something, shield his very consciousness from the perpetual consternation he suffered because of the presence of the lightside at the doorstep of his home. His hatred for this polar entity was a deeply embedded underlying web of mistrust and provoked anger, fueled by the actions of the Jedi in their crusade not only against the Sith but almost every other faction in the galaxy. Their ignorance caused Helios to feel discomfort as they failed, without try, to see the vision the Dark Lord had bestowed upon the One Sith to fulfill. He inhaled slowly, a delicate sound, the breath drawing in past parted lips as his brows raised, an infinitesimal gesture, the twitch at the edges of his lips reflecting his displeasure at the man in front of him.

He shifted, the fluidity of his movements almost unnatural, unhindered it would seem, by joint and sinus, instead moving like shadow incarnate as he whipped the opposite end of his saberstaff around to strike both of the blades that'd previously stopped Helios' last attack and knock them downwards before immediately elevating his weapon behind his opponent's lowered weapons and pull his saberstaff back the way it came, however in a much wider arc, attempted to gash Talon's torso from the right side of his chest to the left. In the morrow of battle, Helios realized that this day had been long already and it would seem that the fighting may extend deep into the night or even into the next day. Both of which Helios steadily looked forward to. Nightfall would incite an entirely different creature than what Talon saw at the moment. However, it was still daylight, and although the air had grown stale due to the taint of blood, Helios inhaled deeply with each breath. It smelled absolutely pleasant to the Lord of Shadows.

Ki'an's pommel strike met only air and quicker then Ki'an would have thought possible, the Sith ducked down and struck at his legs. The only thing he could do to avoid the attack was leap upward over the attack. Of course jumping up to avoid the Sith's attack saved him from the blaster fire from the Mon Cal Sith. Now two bolts were screaming toward his chest and not his head. Ki'an swatted away the first but being in the air was not fast enough to block the second. It hit him square in the chestplate sending him tumbling backwards. Using the force, Ki'an was able to land in a crouch several meters away from both. His chest was on fire. The armor saved his life, but he was sure he'd have a hell of a bruise there in the morning, looking down Ki'an saw the scorch mark where it had hit. It would have hit him in the heart.

Ki'an raised his left hand and tugged forcefully at the blaster in the Mon Cal's hand with the force hoping to pry the blaster free of his flipper. Then Ki'an raised his right hand, still clutching the lightsaber and sent a blast of force energy at the Mon Cal's chest, hoping to throw him backwards into the wall.

"Heh," Veles softly chuckled in disbelief as one of the shots actually hit the Jedi in the chest where his heart should be. Lucky hit more than anything, but it would have killed the man just as well, if not better. The blaster bolt did not pierce the heart though. The armor must have blocked it, but Veles was fairly certain the Kel Dor felt the impact. Better this than nothing. Before having any chance to squeeze off more shots and eventually hit the man into the head once he was budy deflecting the other combatant's attack, the Mon Cal's eyes widened as he saw the Jedi raising his hand. Despite knowing what it meant, he had no power to stop it. The pistol flew out of the grasp of his webbed hand. Then the Jedi raised his right hand...

Veles jumped towards the man to negate a bit of power that sent him towards the wall. The momentum lost its fight against the telekinetic push almost immediately as the Force caught the amphibian, stopping him in the air and throwing him back, although the jump had weakened the Force push a bit. That was what Veles aimed for, after all. His empty hand clenched into a fist and he rotated the entire arm towards the wall while his booted feet dug into the ground. When the hand impacted the wall, Veles felt it throughout his entire body, the sudden violent stop. "Not bad," his cybernetic eye glanced at the wall, noting the cracks in it as he removed his hand. Glaring at the Jedi with his cybernetic eye, the amphibian charged at the enemy with incredible speed, his lightsaber pointing down and burning a searing line as he dragged the tip over the ground. When close enough, the amphibious Sith used the greatest of Makashi's advantages; superior reach. Coming to a sudden stop, he thrust his entire left arm forward, the lightsaber aiming to impale the Padawan through the chest. It did not stop there though... Darth Veles took another large step towards the enemy to take a great risk and reach out for the Jedi's lightsaber hilt with his free hand, intending to grasp the cylinder sticking out of the man's hands, the part of the lightsaber producing the plasma blade.

He had truly expected to incapacitate the weakened Jedi, what with him continually hitting his own ribs in rolls and like, but alas it was all for naught. No matter, he had soon come to accept that the Sith Lord was there to stay, no matter that he had already taken an extreme dislike to him, and most probably the rest of his species because of that. Only because of his first impressions with the amphibian, but it hardly mattered.

They were the One Sith, and the One Sith were One. That's what it all added up to, and the Sith Acolyte spun around to look as the first blaster bolt missed the Jedi, but the second one took him in the chest. He was already trying to decide his course of action when the seemingly force void Mon Calamarian, lunged forwards, and then took another brave step and reached for the lightsaber.

He hadn't simply watched it, he had been moving, letting the Force speed take him and throw him up and above the duo so that he could land at the Jedi's back to prevent him from escaping from the back. That only left the Padawan with his sides to either leap to or roll to, and without hesitation he drew his disruptor pistol from the spot that it had in the small of his back and took aim for but a moment, only so that he could fire at the fleshy part of the Jedi's leg, and since he was close, it must hit, or else all his training in the Kaeshana military, for what it was worth, would have been for naught.

Is he doing it to stall? There is no way for him to win, does he hope to make us strike each other? I would rather kill him in single combat, or capture him alive and make a show of executing him. But it seemed like there would be neither happening upon this day.

Ki'an was relieved to see the blaster fly from the Mon Cal's hand and he sent it skittering off into the a pile of rubble. The force push however was far less successful and suddenly he found the Mon Cal charging towards him. Ki'an took in several key pieces of information as the Sith charged him. The elegant footwork, the one handed hold, and the sheer sense of confidence and arrogance that came off of his aura could mean only one thing....a Makashi user. Normally this wouldn't be a problem for Ki'an, as Makashi's greatest weakness was its inability to produce enough kinetic energy to stand up to a more aggressive fighting style, such as Form V or Form VII, however Ki'an no longer had the strength to overpower the Sith, nor could he do so with the other one aiding him.

Suddenly the Mon Cal was on him, thrusting his blade out faster than Ki'an would have thought possible. Ki'an brought his own blade across his chest, catching the thrust and pushing it off target. Still, the blade skimmed along the outside of his chest plate leaving a long scar on the material. The Mon Cal followed his thrust up with a grab for his hilt. In order to avoid this, Ki'an continued turning with his block so that his shoulder came around blocking the Mon Cal's ability to reach for his hilt.

While this was going on, Ki'an quickly scanned the area. He needed to keep his options open. His reserves of energy were fading fast and while he might have been able to take on one of them, two Sith were more than he could handle in his given state. Ki'an needed a route of escape. Meanwhile the other Sith had moved behind him, making it impossible for him to retreat backwards. Ki'an saw the Sith pull his blaster pistol and Ki'an realized it was now or never. Instead of diving to the side, Ki'an leapt up and over the Mon Cal, turning his lightsaber off as he went so that it was no longer locked with the Mon Cal's saber. Flipping up and over the Sith, Ki'an turned and put all his energy into a force shove hoping that he could throw the Mon Cal into the other Sith long enough for him to escape. Without turning back to see if it worked, Ki'an turned and charged the far wall, there was a large hole in the wall and Ki'an leapt through it. He didn't know where it went, he didn't know if it was a drop off or if more Sith were on the other side, but he knew that if he stayed here any longer, he would die.

Albrecht strode quickly into the library where some of the most intense fighting between the Republic and Sith forces were taking place, his predatory gaze sweeping his surroundings for potential targets. To say he was in a foul mood was an understatement, as he had been subdued and nearly killed by a Jedi Master known only as Saki. He couldn't quite remember how it had happened, but as soon as he had woken up in the field hospital behind the front lines, nothing could contain his fury other than himself. Initially, the medical personnel on site had forbidden him from returning to combat yet, but after throttling the head of the staff and nearly strangling him in the process for standing in his way, they relented, having been convinced that he was perfectly capable of continuing to fight, no matter how many minor cuts or burns he had suffered in his previous duels.

He stopped just short of the door leading into the main hall, already sensing that the Jedi or Republic may have either breached the front entrance or were just outside. He concentrated his efforts on detecting whatever may lie in the main hall on the other side of the door, in order to prevent any potential ambushes.

I shouldn't even be concerned with the possibility of an ambush, for it doesn't matter how many times they think they've struck me down - I'll always strike back... he thought to himself as he opened the door in front of him and walked through...

Toxarien hurried after the other Sith, following as he left the library and went outside, searching the area for enemies. He had returned to his personal ship to retrieve his secondary weapon after the Jedi padawan had destroyed his first weapon. His new weapon was a black hilted double bladed lightsaber, with an opening in the middle to show the energizing crystal. He caught up to the other Sith and said. "Hello, I am Toxarien, who are we killing." He said, getting straight to the point. He had missed out on too much of the action, and he was eager to do some fighting. He saw his old enemy, the Kel'Dor Jedi he had fought earlier, and his first instinct was to charge him, but then he noticed that there were two Sith already fighting him, so he turned his attention elsewhere, looking for a worthy opponent. He felt refreshed with the power of the dark side, the flame of hate in his heart had been rekindled. He glanced at the other Sith, waiting for a response.

Through the paralyzing haze of the mysterious woman's tendrils and whisps Turin could feel her tug, her pull. Her message of warning was well received and as his body slowly awakened the Dark Side flooded his senses. The woman he was with before and her companions, he could feel them. They were in danger...And the whale, no, something even more powerful, yet weakened approached. Could they handle them both? Did it even matter to him now? Gripping the permacrete of the ground below him he felt its cool surface.

Like a frozen can of pop the Dark Side welled within him to a fever pitch, exploding from the young man. They needed to be protected, the woman could wait. Standing shakily and slowly, he gripped his head in pain. It was throbbing like he had been mauled by a Bantha. His blue eyes now corrupted, he began to wonder...Had he flown too close to the sun?

Grinning as he saw the other Sith position himself behind the Jedi, the Mon Cal decided to let the Padawan think he was winning, allowing the man to overpower him and push the saber lock as he wanted. Soon, in mere seconds, the Jedi would meet his death, making the galaxy a bit more peaceful again. Veles watched his blade carve a line into the Kel Dor's chest plate, maybe if he pushed the blade a bit deeper... Unfortunately, the Mon Calamari did not feel the energy building up in his opponent, so the jump caught him entirely unprepared. The situation reminded him of many duels against Acolytes when he was an Acolyte himself. The terrible mistake the Jedi did, jumping over your opponent.

Thus, the moment the Jedi leapt high into the air, Veles calmly watched him, deeming him to be too high to be stabbed with a plasma blade while the man had turned off his lightsaber. Instead, the Mon Calamari spun around before the man landed and charged at him again, knowing the Jedi had to turn around if he intended to attack again. A powerful thrust of his lightsaber meant to deliver a devastating jab into the Kel Dor's head just as the Jedi turned around. So close. And then, the Jedi's Force attack intervened and most likely saved the Kel Dor's life. Allowing the Force to knock him over, the Mon Calamari Knight fell on his back, getting his breath knocked out of the lungs as his large eyes simply watched the Jedi retreat. Unpleasant. Swiveling his gaze to the other Sith, the young assassin spoke, his voice showing little to no anger despite the situation. "He is yours."

He rounded the final corner.

Massive thumping steps bringing him to the rear of the group of Jedi and Republic allies, to the base of the steps of the Museum. Directly ahead of him he saw Hion charging within the building, beady black eyes staring at the massive whale. The Huge Demon lord shifted slightly, his massive feet lumbering to a stop several dozen meters away from the fleeting Jedi.

He said nothing to them at first. Letting his stature and prowess within the darkside speak for itself. He felt energy coming from one of the Jedi, and curiously the Demon cocked his head to the side.

Shara looked to [member="Turin Val Kur"], studying him as the young man drew upon the darkside of the force. The Demon Lord grinned, lips spreading wide and horns tilting to the side slightly. A Jedi using the darkside? Another lost soul to be tempted perhaps. His grin widened slightly as he observed the running younglings, and finally, he spoke.

His voice was a boom, not enhanced by the force, yet still a falling mountain.

Jedi.Again that hint of distaste clung to the word. “Your brothers and sisters fall. Your teachers, your Masters, those closest to your hearts have either been twisted and turned to the darkside, or silenced. Surrender, and your lives shall be spared.”

Shara realized that the mass of lumbering blubber that was hurtling towards them contradicted that statement quite a bit, but Shara could stop Hion, and if he could take these younglings without force, then he would strive to do so.

Albrecht was about to answer when he received a force vision, apparently broadcast to anyone who was available by none other than [member="Darth Isolda"]. All was not well within their ranks, it seemed. One of their number had apparently gone rogue, which would have been fine, as it only meant one had to pursue and kill him...but it wasn't that simple. He was the type that was crazy-prepared for anything, and had gone so far as to plant chemical weapons at multiple locations around the combat zone. Those would need to be disabled immediately, or else the results could be catastrophic.

"There's a chemical bomb somewhere here in the library; find an alarm control and lock down the library. We can't allow the culprit to escape!" he ordered as he used force pull to move a repulsor sled with a highly conspicuous, armored box on top of it. Given to him by one of his superiors to assist him in defending the library, this contained five Unseelie, zombie-like sithspawn that could greatly enhance a darksider's force abilities and weaken those of a lightsider. With the boost that they could provide to his abilities, finding the bomb would be far easier than it would be otherwise, thus giving them more time to disable it before it could eventually go off.

The Jedi leapt over his attack, and fled behind the other Sith Lord, he was going to run such as his previous opponent had done so before. pitiful. He let Darth Veles handle the Jedi, but it seemed that whatever game he was playing without the Force left him at a large disadvantage and he had been knocked down to the ground!

The Sith Acolyte strode forwards, jogging so that he could build up to his sprinting pace, and he heard the Sith Amphibian say that the Jedi was his. Now the Jedi is mine? The only reply was a grunt, and he was off, the Force pushing him past natural speed, empowering his legs as he continued to move after @Ki'an Karr.

His lightsaber and disruptor pistols were in his hands, so when he got a line of sight upon the Jedi, he fired three quick bursts at his back, easy accurate shots to make from constantly training when he hadn't betrayed his race's people, and from when he had become a criminal and joined the Black Suns as an assassin. It was always training with the young Eldorai.

After he had fired the shots, he continued to gain speed while he chased the Padawan, and he even tried to form a force pull to bring the Padawan back to him so that he'd be unbalanced and be hit by the disruptor rounds, or be met with his lightsaber.

Toxarien was caught off guard when he received a message from another Sith, someone who must have considerable power in the force to be able to do that. Apparently the Sith next to him had heard it as well, because he ordered Toxarien to go lock down the library. Toxarien only nodded, a reponse wasn't necessary. He sped off down the hall, wondering where in the world would he find something to shut down the library with. He stopped midstride, and looked back at the other Sith, suddenly curious as to the contents of the box he had. He also figured the other Sith might have some idea as to where to look for the bomb.
