HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The galaxy has a long history of resistance movements and revolutions, especially in the recent decades following the Gulag Plague as empires have quite literally risen and fallen at an astronomical rate. The first widespread and successful movement was the Underground, formed during the One Sith Wars after the collapse of the Galactic Republic. They did much of the theory and practical development of the art of resistance movement which was passed down to the Galactic Alliance and the Outer Rim Coalition, which utilized and honed that information in the First Order wars until their respective dissolution.

With the establishment of the Rimward Trade League, those skill sets were transferred to the founding defense forces and the Rimward Ranger Corps, preserved by the Outer Rim Intelligence Operations Network, and turned into a full doctrine by the defense forces. With the appearance of the Sith Order beyond the Rimma Trade Route, the leaders of the League decided to be proactive and commissioned the veterans of the various resistance movements to create a handbook of sorts for resistance movements to distribute along the systems between them and the Sith Order, the Dorin resistance movement within the Empire, and to their own citizens and inhabitants should the Sith Order follow in the footsteps of the One Sith. The best time to prepare was yesterday, they say, and the second best is today.

This document serves as part of a multi-pronged defense strategy that focuses on using a wide array of allies and strategies to wage a hybrid conventional-unconventional war both to resist enemy invasions, aid any counter-invasions, and continually sap the strength from enemy states and combatants, as well as strengthening the capacity of friendly defense forces to operate even when under hostile occupation.
