On Sunday, January 24th, Alric and Danger will be getting married on Cloud Nine. Since Alric's writer and I would like to get the board involved with a bit of fun, we decided to make this a public wedding for people to join. So, for companies wanting to create a contract with two Tier 5's and up companies, we would like to invite companies to bid on supplying the following items in the wedding. (You'll actually have to post at least ten times to get your development thread to claim it.
)We are looking for the following.
A company to create a gift trinket to pass out to all the guests.
Food and beverage companies, doesn't matter how many. Hey caterers, I'm looking at you.
Hospitality staff.
Security additions besides Saeva and Darkwater.
Freighter captains to transport guests to Cloud Nine ( could be entertainment companies with luxury liners as well.)
Artisans who may like to create interesting but relevant artworks.
Really, if you can think of something that your company can do at this wedding, odds are we'll say sure, why not?
You may submit tech subs if you like, but don't need to. ( Although I'd really like to see some neat trinkets to give away for this event. If you want to make commemorative guns, plates, trinkets... as long as it is appropriate for the event, Danger and Alric will pay you for it. )
And that goes to the guests. As both Danger and Alric are neutral, everyone is invited to join that neutrality and peace will be enforced by Saeva/Darkwater/ and contracted security companies and agencies.
The one request we have is to please honor the neutrality on Cloud Nine that Danger does her best to ensure. Cloud Nine is a lovely place and we want to keep it that way. Also, Danger and Alric are picking up the tab for all guests.
This is set to be a fun party, we won't bore you with the wedding details and hoopala, just want it to be a fun event.
|| Cloud Nine ||
Cloud Nine was designed to be the first of its kind. Though many cities, and even plants within the galaxy are major vacation spots, none are specifically designed to be entirely suited for this purpose. The closest that exist is Zeltros. The planet of the pink aliens has over the centuries become a hot spot for tourism, gambling, and antics of all sorts not quite suited for the family. Many other worlds are the same, becoming resorts suited to one thing or another. This however was a natural development fielded over many years of time and eventually turned the planets into what they are today. None of these however were specifically designed for this purpose.
Cloud Nine was.
The city itself was created as a vacation spout for the rich and connected, a virtual paradise in the clouds.
The cities huge domed expanses, massive spires, cascading waterfalls, and general environment was entirely built around the concept of appearing to be surreal. Every feature built into the city, every meticulously crafted stone and statue was entirely designed to appear out of reality. Everything within Cloud Nine promotes rest and relaxation. Those who walk the streets are greeted with a pleasant warmth and the small chirping of birds. Those who swim within its lakes are met with warm waters and cascading falls. Those who venture through the domes of the cities find nothing but welcome and whatever their heart desires.
Cloud Nine is quite simply meant to be the perfect vacation spot. Luxury apartments accommodate hundreds of thousands of people, massive spas pamper and indulge thousands, and the city itself lives to serve those that attend it.
The Falls:
Above everything else, Cloud Nine is supposed to be a place for rest and relaxation. The city itself was designed around this principal. It's huge sprawling walkways, it's massive arched buildings, the huge open environment hidden behind a veiled shield. Cloud Nine features the most beautiful Scenery and open airs that one could possibly imagine. To add to this ambiance, the city and its multiple levels are dotted with dozens of Waterfalls. The Falls flow from one section of the city into another, dripping down and cascading into massive lakes held on sectors below. A few of the falls flow directly off the city itself, an ever cascading waterfall that seems to be eternal. These eternal falls draw moisture from the air of Bespin itself, pulling water into its expanse in order to remain in eternum. Each of these massive waterfalls have a viewing area, surrounded by fences as to not risk any danger.
The Spires:
The Spires of Cloud Nine, the unique features that reach up into the skies and pierce through the air of Bespin are perhaps the Cities most important factor. Though Cloud Nine seems defenseless, in actual fact these beautifully constructed objects hold within them shield generators. These generators produce a sightless shield around the city at all times, forming a veil of protection against the elements and attack. They are not planetary shields, and would not hold against a significant planetary invasion force, but the shields produced by the spires allow for the city to hold out against Pirate Raids and smaller attacks, just in case its needed.
The Lakes:
Perhaps the most breathtaking, and eye catching feature of Cloud Nine are its massive lakes. Dotted on each level of the City, held within bountiful pools are a series of lakes. These lakes range from small, to massive. Each one is the result of a cascading waterfall, some flow into falls of their own. A few of them are featured to be pools, fit for swimming and even wildlife, while others are simply eye catching decor surrounded by a thin waist high fence. Regardless, every lake is surrounded by a host of restaurant, bars, and other features that make them the draw of the City. It is around the lakes that people congregate and meet, and it here that most of the visitors of Cloud Nine, and Residents, can often be found.
The Domes
The Domes of Cloud Nine are its residential, commercial, and entertainment sections. The Domes contain everything from apartments to shopping malls. These massive structures were designed after the city of Theed. Huge reaching arches and massive marble blocks are held together in neat and beautiful architecture, placed perfectly to couple and suit the City in a near flawless nature. The city itself seems to be held together not by mortar or bolts, but instead by simple placing. Nothing seems jagged or edged, and every block of stone simply seems perfectly placed. The Domes are no exception, and their beautiful exterior is matched only by their breathtaking interior. Each dome is decorated with replicas of the galaxies greatest art, filled to the brim with culture and class. The Domes feature everything a person might want on vacation, pools, spa's, shopping centers, and luxury condos.
