So, set fleet sizes by faction or by writer?

I can see reasons for both, leaning towards each writer may bring X metres.

I would say fleet size by side, which can subsequently be divided by factions/participants. Subject to review for balance and to make sure one faction doesn't totally dominate or something, of course.

Depending on how big you want to go, you could even have an overall commander who doesn't have any ships but just manages the various other commanders.

I'd like to participate in the space battle (for the Republic).

I'm generally in agreement with Cyrus about generating fleet sizes to keep the battle balanced, but that being said, if we do have factions switching sides after the battle has started, it would seem to me to defeat the purpose of an arbitrarily keeping it balanced at the start.

I will post up separate threads for the three campaign threads soon.

Please note, the ground battle will be a chance to finally put those unit and vehicle subs into use. Only factory submitted or canon items will be allowed!

So if your faction needs a tank, an artillery piece or an elite unit sub...do it now!

I focus on real, applicable tactics, detailed posting that avoids confusion, and fully detailed vehicles and equipment that make any battle a good one.

In short, I'd do a real pretty job of kicking arse.
