It was then midway his attempt to come her/it aid that her words somewhat brush his thought and he in turn replied.

" ... I supposed especially have not had the time know for certain if it would work but then again. That is the risk I suppose would take if it means some good will come out of it."

At that moment once his hand connected with the other that he couldn't help feel the immediate surge of darkness creep in. To which as best he could close his eyes Ronin did his best to keep his mind clear as he held hard to hold on what bit of light the could fathom find.WHich was no less hard given that the room along with every bit of the very fiber of the place oozed with the tainted trace of hate and darkness he'd not seen elsewhere. Thought the more he held to the other that bits and piece of images along with fleeting memories past his consciousness.

One which for a flicker of a breath felt some familiarity to that which he felt once before. But given the circumstances and strain, he was in he could not seem to pinpoint. Thought in the back his mind the memory of his once fallen Master along with the image of the mysterious dark entity linger. Taunting him so with things that drew him to let go and give in to the darkness. Yet he fought hard and with the battle of rage he turns to speak to the other whom he slightly catches from her/it earlier words to be a friend...a Jedi Master of sorts.

" Best that you make your move soon.....but know face it would be suicide....save her ...get to the ship and go.....this battle might be lost but the war is just beginning."

Mirra Voss

Too weird to live, too rare to die!
The droid/shards face was a perfect replica of consideration for a split second, then she nodded.

"Lets go with the leaving plan. I don't know about you, but I have no desire to find out if she has the ability to control that construct at the end of the room, and I am unconvinced I have the power reserves - even with your help - to wear her down to the point we can deactivate her shell."

The whole of Solari's body comes to life as she gives a small but lifelike shrug - the droid even 'breathes' in the same fashion as an HRD.

A snap-hiss and a lambent golden glow announces Solari's saberstaff flaring into life.

"Now." She states with absolute calm, withdrawing her hand, at which point wires within her sister's chest visibly writhe and reconnect as an automated repair system kicks in, Solari has just enough time to swing her blade out of the way before her sister completes the follow through on her 'killing' strike - but with both lightsabers deactivated and powerless, nothing happens.

"What?" Qixoni's voice is as melodic, but tinged with the anger that accompanies a fall to darkness. "How?" She stumbles forward, then springs back an inhuman distance to clear herself from the three obvious Jedi around her. "No matter. Sister, don't be a fool. They will fail you again, like our master did, like everyone did. The Empire cannot be stopped - except by it's own methods..."

As if in answer to her words, the gigantic factory resonates with noise as it flares into life and 'new' Sith robots begin to stumble out of ancient machinary.

"If you won't join me, then leave me here." As she says 'join me' she looks straight at [member="Ronin Wendigo"] a very human and inviting half smile on her face, but doesn't actually say anything.

Solari seems wordless - if droids could cry, she might well be doing so - while her saberstaff remains en-garde, she seems stunned - as if history is happening too fast, and all this is too much to deal with.

It was then at that time seem no sooner had his hand connected to the other mechanoid shell. That he felt it seems like a trickle at first that soon shifted into what felt like a rage river course thru. A darkness so intense that it took every bit of his will as well concentration to push it back before it threatens to overpower him at some point. As such what happened next and the initial conversation between the two ancient beings had seemed no less than a blur to him. And he soon comes to realize something that both shock as well frighten him in a way.....a realization behind the faint glow of the light lay a deep-seated darkness in him.

One he for the longest time denied as much he'd kept secret from all for the longest time. One which upon hearing the words... Master...everyone ... cannot be stopped. Seem to trigger something within him... something withdrew him away from the present and back to the past recesses of his mind. A drawback to the nightmare of that day when faced with the choice .... the regret....doubt that he froze in his tracks. Momentarily lost and confused as the lines seem to blur between the past and present. And it became painfully obvious through his mind shrouded in the swirling darkness all around as wake of her... the gigantic factory resonated with noise as it flares into life. And the other begin to stumble out of the ancient machinery. That his grasp momentarily slips as did his hold thought he at the last moment barely held on to the task at hand. That by fate or chance the other could easily exploit as her venomous sweet words echoed in his ears as she spoke them.

"If you won't join me, then leave me here."

As it soon was followed by her deep gaze towards his direction upon coming to the words 'Join me'. Which was something none except the maybe a couple that knew him well enough including Master Coci and another. Were privy as to the deeper history and meaning of the weight that word had to him. As with a seemingly human face slowly wash over her in his mind ... one which with an inviting half smile that spoke volume despite no words were ever spoken. As if history and the present were happening too fast, and all this seems too overwhelming for him deal with at one time. That his very mind and sanity seem to collide and come into conflict. As one side wanted so desperately stay the course he'd set despite the risk and consequence while on the other hand. Came the faint voice taunting him to pick up his saber and not think just act.....

Solari chose the option to escape, which was Cassius’s personal choice. “If we get out, we can probably collapse the rest of the temple on her and the rest of the droids.” The quad laser cannons on the Stardust should be enough to collapse the old masonry onto itself. He just hoped they could actually get out in time.

When the droid signaled that it was time to act, Cassius activated his lightsaber, the green glow gracing his features as he held it close in a defensive position. As Qixoni stumbled forward, Cassius replanted his feet, ready for her if she came at him. There was no attack, however, instead deciding to regale them with more rhetoric that’d heard his fair share of over the past few years.

“The Empire is long dead,” Cassius said, looking her dead in her droid approximation for eyes. What he said was a half-truth – of course, there was a version of the Galactic Empire active in that galaxy at that point, but the particular Empire she was probably referring to had indeed been defeated over eight hundred years ago.

Cassius could hear a high-pitched electronic whir and gears clicking into place as the droids emerged from the wreckage. Whether these actually posed a threat, Cassius didn’t particular care to find out. T-4D4 spun, drawing his blaster and doing a slow sweep of the room, still not firing. “Multiple hostiles!” he exclaimed.

“Let’s go,” Cassius quickly whispered to Solari. “All of us,” he looked over to Ronin, within whom he could sense stirring conflict. The young archaeologist could see how quickly the droids would close in. If they broke for the door right then, they could make it to the turbolift without much trouble. He looked back to Solari.

Too weird to live, too rare to die!
Solari quite literally leapt into action, a combination of the Force and her droid-powered strength carrying her off to one side and back towards the elevator as her saberstaff whirled around her like the dawn it - and she - were named after.

"Go." She called as she settled into a perfect defensive stance, blaster bolts whining off her guard as she spun the blade effortlessly. The new droids had charged power cells.

Even as she spoke, Quixoni reached out a hand and ripped the power from one of the droids, using it to ignite her lightsaber - at the same time, her body seemed to arch and grow spines along it's back.

"Maybe." She replied to Cassius. "It has been eight hundred years. But evil never dies, it must be burnt to the ground."

"Leave her!" Solari shouted at Ronin. "She lost her way a long time ago. Trust me, we'll see her again."

It was at that time with the seem close proximity to the one fo the two ancient sentients who held a far more darker persuasion that the other. That for a moment the darker half of his psyche seems to gain strength and momentum over the other to a point. It was able to hold on quite bit longer and hold sway over his mind that it once before. As the deep tendrils of darkness that seem to have swallowed and soak into every bit the structure they were in came to life. Seem in sync with the growing prowess of the dark one that no sooner turns away then reach out to grab apart from one the nearby droids.

"Maybe."

As the other lightsider in the room responded much to the dark one dismay had unknowingly aided in spark something in him. That stir his memory back to the present away from the past just enough that it stops the darkness from taking full control of him.

"It has been eight hundred years. But evil never dies, it must be burnt to the ground."

As much like a stim addict thrust upon a very tempting high after a long parched drought of abstaining. It was if anything a long and hard-fought battle for him pull back rather than take the easy road yet again.

“Let’s go,”

Were the other words that further help him snap back out of the dark influence embrace as his thought turns from. The rage of wanting exact a trail of wanton destruction fuel by the partial darkness that seeps into him. To that of compassion of wanting to save the dark one in a way as he was not able to do so for his own fallen Master. But then before he could do so the light ones words came be spoken stop him.

"Leave her!"

Which for whatever reason his mind seem to respond to as he took a step back away from the dark one and take a step back as he contemplated joining the other. Though still fighting the darkness within him and try hard to find a way to expel it the best way possible before it gains ground again.

"She lost her way a long time ago. Trust me, we'll see her again."

Came her words which help break the indecision or doubt in his mind long enough for him to finalize a plan. As he reaches back to then inch closer towards the others and once he'd place a good distance. Between them and the darkone that he gathers all the darkness, he'd pent up and seemed into him towards his hands. Before fling then forward into a last-ditch move of exacting a good size force push aim at the encroaching droids surrounding them. At which time as his hand met before him that a low rumbling noise is heard as all around them the compromise ancient walls began to react. After their stability had been compromised by his action.....and he turns to the other .

".....lets go. It may not stop her but hopefully it would slow her enough....."

Navigating through the twisted depths of the ancient structure, Xaedrin made his directional choices based more on feelings than anything else. He could feel something ... odd ahead. It felt like conflict, more than anything else. It was what he'd felt in other times where he'd encountered strong sources of both the light side and the dark side in close proximity to one another. It intrigued him, and so he moved toward the vague feeling as best he could. Dust layered the floor beneath his feet, softening the sounds of his footfalls as he descended downward. Glow-panels flickered on and off in the dilapidated corridors, creating an eerie environment that perfectly fit the feelings that he could sense ahead of him as he skulked ever onward.

Xaedrin stopped suddenly, standing to his full height and summoning the hilt of his blade to his hand. The feel of the weapon in his hand calmed him, like an old friend, reliable and wise. What had caused him to stop? A voice. He could hear it. Briefly. Momentarily. A quiet presence, longing for freedom - confused, angry. Giving up all pretenses of stealth, Xaedrin sprinted down the corridor. He wasn't far now, he knew.

His hurry wasn't altruism. He was by no means a knight in shining armor, come to save the day. No, it was self-focused. He knew there were others in the ruins - Jedi, he was fairly certain. Whatever was down there, he didn't want it taken or destroyed before he had a chance to see it.

Turning around a bend, he saw archways up ahead on the left that his senses told him would lead him to the chamber where he needed to be. A smile creased his face as he sprinted toward the archway. He grabbed the edge of the carved doorway with his artificial left hand, swinging himself around the corner - only to be caught staring up at a pile of rubble and stone that blocked the entrance into the chamber.

With a curse, Xaedrin reached out with the Force fully - easily marking his presence in the minds of any Force-users who happened to be present - and set to work on removing the stones that blocked the way.

As Solari moved, Cassius was keen to follow, his green blade spinning in various arcs and freezing at the occasional angle in order to redirect blaster bolts. If he were standing still, he’d be able to redirect the bolts back with relative ease, but on the move like this, it was only occasionally that he’d be able to take out a droid with its own blaster fire.

He stood back-to-back with Solari, catching the bolts from his angle, with T-4D4 standing between them, shooting over top of their heads. Through the Force, Cassius wordlessly communicated with her, telling her where droids where, which ones were aiming for her, and which ones he’d taken down. Despite all of the chaos, he still heard the words of Qixoni, and they puzzled him somewhat. Now was not the time for a philosophical debate, however.

The forceful push from Ronin allowed them more time, and Cassius ran full-tilt back towards the corridor to the turbolift. As he made his way there, he noticed that during all of the commotion, part of the way had been blocked by falling rubble. There was also something else… someone else… a new presence revealed itself to them.

There wasn’t time to speculate on who it was, or their affiliation. The way Cassius saw it, there were a multitude of enemies in the chamber right now, and only one potential enemy on the other side. He liked those odds better. A large pillar stood upright amongst the rubble, visible from his side. Closing his eyes briefly, he reached out with the Force as he tried to block out the action around him. Pushing on the top of the pillar, he wiggled it back and forth before being able to topple it over. A large cloud of dust billowed from the falling rocks, and Cassius slipped into it, hoping to reach the turbolift with the new opening he’d made.

Too weird to live, too rare to die!
Solari held her ground against the advancing droids, slowly backing away as the others pulled back.

Then the cloud of rocks and rubble exploded to reveal the Sith Lord standing on the other side, at which point matters got... complicated.

Quixoni laughed - a light, amused sound as she looked over at... an ally? An enemy? A distraction, at the very least. She gave him one quick nod. "So if the Empire is dead, I see the side with the power still lives." And leap for Solari in a single bounding leap, the two robots disappearing into a whirl of lightsaber blades as an Ataru specialist met a Djem So specialist, both of whom had trained together since... well... forever. The renewed battle was going about as well for both sides as it had done eight hundred years ago - getting precisely nowhere.

"I'm afraid I'm going to need you to get her off of me." Solari states calmly. "If I give ground, she and her friend will just be in the lift with us."

It took awhile for Reggie to realize that he had separated from the group. It surprised him since he usually wasn't a person who ran off on his own in a rush, but he needed to reach the source of the message he had heard. After awhile, of traversing through the corridors, Reggie realized that he was lost. He sighed, frustrated since it felt as though there was no time to lose.

Still making his way down the corridors, Reggie felt a presence through the force. He didn't know if it would be a good idea or not to travel there, but he didn't have time to sit and think. He picked up his speed, running towards the newly revealed presence. When he came closer to his destination, he heard the moving of rubble. Before turning the corner to meet with the person standing in front of the entrance of a chamber, Reggie slowed himself down and took a better look at what was going on. He could see a man standing in front of a entrance to a chamber, rubble that he had moved with the force, and saw a battle between two beings that were trying to gain the upper hand over the other.

Reggie could see two other Jedi after removing his focus from the duel that was going on and the man ahead of him, who he assumed was a Sith. He prepared himself by grabbing his lightsaber hilt, and analyzed the situation to see what he could to in order to help. Reggie was sure that he was outclassed by [member="Xaedrin Vondiranach"] just by looking at him, and the fight between the two beings made it clear that he wouldn't be able to assist by charging with his lightsaber, which is something he wouldn't do straight off the bat anyway. Jumping in now would only get him cut down by the Sith in front of him. He had to wait until there was a perfect moment for him to use his abilities efficiently in order to help [member="Solari"] and the other Jedi.

It was at that time that no sooner had he expelled as much the dark influence that he could before it took to hold him. Or worst make him something regretable as what his mind could only fathom yet still not able to confront face. But he did and although darkness within was gone it was no less far away as from all around it seem or bleed from all around as more and more its minion came from the woodworks. Seem endless and hell-bent on devouring them whole into its grasp. Which was not something he could easily defend against at the moment given that the sheer weight and taxing toll of expelling the darkness. Was at best very draining to him that it took all his concentration as well sheer will remain to just push him foward.

Thought as he moves closer to reaching his goal of make it towards the other that the un mistake pulsating wave of darkness could be felt emanating thru one the side wall. One which no sooner cracks open to reveal the outline of another darkside....one which those seem have been tax himself in try make it there. Was no less ready and engage to take up the fight.....

I'm afraid I'm going to need you to get her off of me."

The voice seems clear day as it was calm.

"If I give ground, she and her friend will just be in the lift with us."

To which seem agree with her that he then in the corner his eye noted that a newcomer came. One aligned to with the light thought to seem so youthful and perhaps ill-prepared to simply jump into the fray on his own. He then turns his attention to him speak thru the force privately with bit strength or connection he could gather in the force.

'...we must come to their aid.... acting together we can hopefully buy them time to make our escape. It's not safe here .... not with danger unseen lurking about.'

Cassius’s green blade flashed from inside the cloud of dust, still blocking blaster bolts from the Sith battle droids. “Tee-Four!” he yelled over his shoulder. “Get to the turbolift and hold it down!” The tall droid nodded, pausing his firing as Cassius picked up the slack in defending him. T-4D4 made his way down the hallway to the turbolift, picking off droids with surgical precision.

Moving back towards Solari, Cassius focused on a few sizable rocks from the pile of rubble that had been freshly stirred. Taking a big risk by deactivating his lightsaber and clipping it to his belt for a moment, Cassius used both hands to use his telekinetic Force abilities to pick up a few of the rocks. He flung them at Qixoni, hoping to provide and opening for Solari to gain some ground on her sister.

They were running out of time. He wasn’t sure how much more charge Solari’s power cell had, and he didn’t think he could Solari’s metallic body out of there if she were to shut down. He looked to the two newer light siders to the scene. “If you’re going to do something, I suggest you do it now!” He shouted as he reignited his saber to deflect a new series of bolts screaming in his direction.

Reggie heard a voice through the force and instantly calmed his mind. He needed to assist them in some way and now was the time. This was even more clear when [member="Cassius Droma"] shouted out to him. It was now or never, there was no time to think.

Mimicking what Cassius did, Reggie picked up a few of the wrongs with the force and flung them at Qixoni. Afterwards, he began running towards them and activated his lightsaber, the green blade flashing out of the hilt. He was planning on making his was to [member="Solari"] and the others to assist in combat, but he also kept his focus on [member="Xaedrin Vondiranach"]. The Sith could cut him down if he wasn't quick enough, so he used the force to increase his speed and kept his lightsaber at the ready in case he had to block a attack from the Sith lord.

When it comes to combat, Reggie's quick thinking and movement are his best assets, so he planned his abilities to the fulest to survive. No more waiting, the time to act was now.

OOC Note: I'm really sorry I've been so slow to respond - Got a couple of work projects that are kicking my butt, so I'm slow going for a bit. I promise I'll do as much as I can, though. Thanks for your patience.

This place is exciting, Xaedrin thought to himself as he surveyed the carnage of the room. The chamber was massive; a cavernous recess carved out of the stone bowels of the ice covered planet. Around the expanse, ancient battle droids were coming to life and looking for a target. He'd entered to some conversation between a handful of Jedi and ... two sentient droids? He had no idea what they were, but after a bitter laugh and what seemed to be a glorious retort, they had entered into a blur of flashing plasma, lightsabers meeting in constant attack and defense.

In the middle of the room stood a massive statue - or droid, Xaedrin couldn't be certain which and had no desire to find out - towering over the ensemble as if mortals fought for the entertainment of a magnificent god. It was almost comical in one sense, while being incredibly apropos in another. Xaedrin sensed a presence behind him. It was filled with the uncertainty of youth and inexperience. He knew those feelings well. He smiled at the hesitation that came from behind, while looking down on the twin presences of what appeared to be more seasoned Jedi down below. One was quickly approaching him, however, and had even begun to help move the rubble out of the doorway. How thoughtful.

Then the help turned to an attack as those stones were lobbed down toward his ad hoc ally. Given that she was locked in close combat with the one they were presumably seeking to rescue, it seemed slightly irresponsible. Oh well. Throwing rocks was fun. The amount of concentration required to hurl stones versus simply nudging stones was fairly significant, and so Xaedrin reached out with the Force as he activated his lightsaber and began walking down toward the primary culprit. He didn't know [member="Cassius Droma"] - had never seen him before, in fact, and had no idea who he was ... but they would meet shortly. As he walked he used the Force to nudge the flying stones and boulders gently away from the dark droid thing, and into its twin analog. His senses warned him of the approaching youth, moving down from behind to help the others. An apprentice, perhaps? he wondered idly. How might he use that information to his advantage? He shrugged it off, throwing a hand out and pushing with the Force as the boy hurled past him. It might land, throwing the boy to the side - it might not. He hadn't been concentrating on the timing too hard. Anyway, the boy wasn't his focus.

Xaedrin continued to nudge the larger pieces of debris toward the droid he didn't care for while approaching the Jedi below, his red-orange blade casting an eerie glow around him.

occ: np man and glad see yah back. :)

It was then while Ronin seem been distracted moving or deflecting as much the wave of droids heading their way. As he did his best distract the very least impend their forward momentum. As he hopes at the very least it would have bought the droid time enough to restart or get the lift work. As he looked about note it was at best their most direct way out here as in the foreground he hears the other shout out.

“If you’re going to do something, I suggest you do it now!”

And from the sideline, the two sentient being they encounter earlier lock in battle seem have not lost anytime get back to it. As the tide shifted between them with one gain or the other losing ground but no sooner reversed. Make it at best apparent that they were evenly matched in every way. That he came sens it comes before he caught a glimpse of him... a darkside no less have found his way into the fray. As well a young one seems all too eager to engage him at which time. With the shift of the tide battle and the emergence of the Sith in their midst seem launching an attack against the sentient beings that he makes his move. Drawing on what bit strength he could that he launches to the light sentiment aid knowing the strain it would take on him. Yet he did it anyways gambling as he hopes it would help. That he sprints overcome her aid. Shield her if need be from the impact of the Sith attack while try reach out to warn her to move fall back. Before using what bit once strength he'd sent a force push to the ceiling hope if anything collapse it between them and the fiends. Thought knowing it at best would slow them not stop them.... it would at least buy them time.
