STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Xaedrin is thoughtful and methodical most of the time, but when he is angered he shows a blatant disregard for safety, reputation, or morality. He is easily set off, sometimes by odd things. He ironically possesses a unique sense of justice, and is oddly fixated on that at times. When he pursues goals in this realm, he does so with a tunnel-vision that oftentimes lands him in over his head. The personal issues surrounding his past crop up at times to disturb his focus, on rare occasions leaving him distracted to a point that he is unable even to reach the Force.

APPEARANCE:
Xaedrin is tall and lean with brown eyes and dark brown hair.

BIOGRAPHY:
Xaedrin grew up on a spaceliner where his adopted parents worked full time. His stepfather was a maintenance man while his mother was a musician. The relationship between his stepfather and mother was an abusive one which oftentimes extended to Xaedrin as well. He learned to hate his stepfather from a young age, and spent most of his time trying to avoid him. This allowed him to build relationships with other crew on the ship where he learned to pilot, learned some about computer manipulation, as well as a decent amount about personal defense from several security personnel who held an extreme dislike for Xaedrin's stepfather. One particular evening when Xaedrin was 14, his stepfather killed his mother in a drunken rage. Xaedrin was there. Xaedrin then attacked his stepfather with the few skills that he knew, though he was helplessly outmatched. Through dumb-luck, Xaedrin was able to knock his stepfather off his feet. When he fell, he struck his head on a piece of furniture in their small apartment and was killed instantly. Xaedrin, scared out of his mind, gathered up any credits in the apartment he could find and prepared to flee the ship. In the process, Xaedrin discovered a journal hidden by his mother in which his true father was identified as a man named Zerxes Vondiranach. Xaedrin decided then to take his true father's surname, and fled the ship in a small emergency transport which he abandoned on reaching Coruscant.

Xaedrin spent the next two years living on the streets of Coruscant as a drifter, simply trying to survive before falling in with a crew of Force-sensitive thieves. The group noticed Xaedrin's ability, which he'd attributed to mere luck, and began training and using him in their operations. The crew targeted wealthy individuals travelling primarily for business, each member of the young crew having different roles tailored to their strengths. Xaedrin apprenticed to them for some time before becoming a regular member of the team, his expertise primarily falling in the realm of mind tricks. His charisma and charm, coupled with his unique talents in the area of mind alteration, quickly brought him to the forefront of the crew. If not fully the leader, he became the face of the group - often posing as a wealthy young entrepreneur in the team's heists and cons. Through his involvement in the crew, Xaedrin amassed a decent amount of personal wealth and contacts, though as a young Force-sensitive he still attempts to maintain a low profile. During this time he was found out by a Sith Lord known as Illuminus. Illuminus took Xaedrin in and trained him in the ways of the Force, eventually bestowing upon him the rank of Knight. Not long after, Illuminus disappeared leaving Xaedrin alone yet again. He roamed the galaxy during this time, growing in his abilities in the Force and enacting various plots to gain power and influence. He then returned to Coruscant and challenged a rival of Illuminus to a duel, despite being hopelessly outmatched. He held his own in the duel, but was eventually defeated. The Sith Lord that he faced, however, chose not to kill him and instead brought him into his service. Xaedrin became his Shadow Hand, doing his bidding throughout the galaxy. During this time, the rank of Master was bestowed on him. Upon his master's retirement and disappearance, Xaedrin disappeared for a time as well. While on hiatus, he wormed his way into power with a Bio-Engineering firm, overseeing the creation of a supervirus that he then released into the general populace of a minor planet. The death toll was catastrophic, causing a group of Jedi to step in in order to dispense justice. Xaedrin underestimated his opponents - specifically their numbers. The result was that he was captured, and assigned a fate worse than death. Using the Force, the Jedi hunters placed mental blocks in his mind, keeping him from knowing his true identity, imprisoned him in a stasis pod for a long but unknown period of time, and then released him back into the streets of Coruscant, destined to go through life as a nobody, clouded and confused.

Not long after this, however, he found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. This in turn landed him as one of the Contingency's Controlled Ones on Kwenn Station. It was there that he met Kirie Ito, infecting the girl and bringing her into the nexus of Onyx, although she was subsequently healed. Xaedrin was not, however, instead being left for dead after being knocked down a reactor shaft by Bradshaw Ku. When Xaedrin awoke, the voice of Onyx was gone from his head, while he noticed certain properties of the Contingency still applied to him. One of those properties was that the mental blocks placed on him had been removed. Another was that his body was still healing itself, albeit for how long this would continue was uncertain. Because of this, he was able to flee the station and survive the encounter. In trying to discover what had happened to him, he followed the Force to a where he most strongly sensed the Contingency. He found no one, although he did find a strange ingot of metal and an eerie blue crystal. Having been freed from his mental prison, Xaedrin has now reemerged into the galaxy - with his sights on Bradshaw Ku for besting him during his mental exile.
