“Put your hands in the air!” One of the soldiers shouted motioning to the ground with the barrel of the blaster. All I am is a simple man, no amount of the force nor any other sort of space magic could change that. That’s how I understood what these people wanted, no what they needed. They needed to understand freedom, not the false reality crafted by the Generals that ruled the planet. Tyranny would no longer be accepted on Thule as long as I played a part in the planet. I couldn’t be perceived to be bringing the same thing to this planet if I truly wished too free it. So I did what needed to be done, some Sith wouldn’t have lowered themselves to being captured but I did it to set their worries to bed. Even if they chained me up I could easily escape.

Raising my hands to waist height I opened myself to being taken into custody. “You saw the same message I did, that Sith has no intentions of letting your people stay in control. He will come to rule, break you down, take your children and turn them into sycophants loyal to only him. The only way we can stop this is if you let me aid you.”

My words had obviously struck a cord and were held in some regard, especially when outside the troops of Zambrano’s were simply proving my point. They converged on the capital city of Hurom as if they ruled it already, people were beat in the streets as they tried to protest against the droids and Blackguard. “How do we know you’re not in league with him?” the wide eyed soldier asked the blaster slightly shaking in his hand.

Rolling my eyes, I motioned to my hands. “Instead of offering myself up, I would’ve slaughtered you all. You can’t think your pitiful weapons would’ve stopped me? Looking behind myself and out the door I watched the chaos from the safety of the capital building. “You only have two choices in this situation, help me in fighting Kaine off this world or give yourselves over to his tyranny.”

With those being the only choices left to him the officer raised his hand signaling for the guards to lower their weapons. “Fine what do you need.”

“Simply take me to your broadcast center and from there I will deliver a challenge to the Sith Lord. I want it sent out long distance. Every planet within the Stygian Caldera has to be able to pick up the signal. It will be a public challenge and if Kaine doesn’t accept he’ll be perceived as a weakling. Not only by your people but the Sith.”

Nodding his head, the soldier led me through the wide halls of the capital building. IT was obvious no expense had been spared in its creation. Paintings lined the walls and obscure sculptures displayed wealth. Wealth that could be redistributed to the people. It only took three minutes to reach the broadcast center and the soldier went to go man the soundboard adding in the parameters I had specified.

Clearing my throat I prepared myself for the speech of my life. I had never been one for words during my initial life or after my rebirth. The words I looked for escaped me and for the first few seconds of the broadcast there was nothing but silence. “People of Hurom, no Thule or any other planet that is listening. As you all know Kaine Zambrano has descended upon the planet wishing to institute a new rule, one that would force you all to bend to his will. Where your children will be his property to be used as he wishes. Where on a whim he could kill you. There is no need to live under his shadow, to forfeit your rights as people! You will never be safe under his rule, look how he descends upon the planet with his troops herding you like cattle to the slaughter. You are nothing to Kaine, but you are people."

"Each and every one of you were born with one thing. That’s free will, you have idolized the Sith, adopted its culture as your own yet you do not truly understand the code. The Force shall free you, but in order to be free you have to fight for it. Kaine does not understand this, he defies the code. He doesn’t wish for freedom; he wants to enslave you all. So I urge each and every one of you to rise up and claim the freedom for yourself. No more monarchies, no more obligatory laws crafted by bureaucrats that care nothing for you. Rise up and truly free yourself.” The message was broadcast to every home, to every military base, and beyond. It was one that people understood. Thule had been under either a Sith rule or the rule of their own military for millennia, it only took a catalyst to set off a chain reaction and across the planet people began to rise up.

“I will free you from these malevolent beings that wish for nothing more than to cement their own power base. I will wipe them from the face of this planet and then set you all free. You here that Kaine, if you want the planet come fight me for it like a true Sith or will you turn tail and run like the coward you truly are?”

Charge Weapon. Ready to fire.
The function check had become ingrained into the career Marine's mind, more of an autonomous process he went through upon picking up a new weapon. As usual everything had checked out and Eli had loaded his weapon, sending a round forward into the chamber. They were going to be prepared when they landed. His dark eyes scanned the interior of the MPD as the engines roared to life, the familiar feeling of the deck vibrations comforting. He smiled, noting the ready grins and preparation rituals of his men. Today they were going in light, only four of the birds prepped and loaded with Commonwealth Marines. They were armed to the teeth. As Combat veterans they knew how to survive in the least hospitable of environments without much gear. As such they were able to pack less gear and more ammo which happened to come in handy considering they all wielded slug throwers over blasters. Something about the recoil and the sheer destructive properties of a well placed slug won out in their minds every time. That wasn't to say they wouldn't use a blaster, simply that they preferred the slug throwers.

Eli had been told that Mia Conner, one of the pilot's he had the pleasure of running a covert mission with would be piloting their MPD and it had helped him push down any sort of doubt he'd had about going in light. He was a traditional grunt and believed fully in delivering overwhelming fire and superior numbers but in this case he'd conceded, a smaller lighter force would be more effective. They'd loaded up with as much ammo and explosives as they could, dumping extra supplies such as bedrolls, extra utility uniforms, and other camping gear. Feeling the deck shift slightly as the MPD lifted off the deck the Staff Sergeant reached up towards the connecting hatch. He had prepared a quip but just as he cracked it open he noticed an unfamiliar form occupying the pilot's seat. Instead of the quip he managed to utter something else.

"Where's Conner?"

The pilot held up a gloved hand, extending an index finger. A few seconds passed and a green light flashed on the dash. The pilot turned, his voice muffled but audible.

"She's been re-assigned to fighter duty, you're stuck with me Staff Sergeant. Brooks right? Flight Officer Antares. I'll get you and your men there safe."

Turning back to the controls he left the Staff Sergeant to muse. Eli narrowed his eyes and turned back to the troop bay, closing the connector in the process. Kriff. Well, the Commonwealth had capable pilots, he couldn't argue with that. Despite his reservations he checked one more time to ensure his gear was secure before finally buckling himself in at the head of the bay.

"Sound off!" he bellowed above the roar of the MPD's engines as it lurched forward and exited the hangar.

The Marines in the bay counted off, all ready. Testing the comms Eli checked in with the other units as the MPD's made a bee-line for the planet's surface. The ride was rough but he'd grown used to it over the years, mission after mission causing the veteran to actively question flights that lacked the right volume of turbulence. According to the briefing they'd have to fly through a nearly non-survivable amount of fire just to get into the atmosphere of Thule. Arguably, that wasn't Eli's concern but that didn't mean it wasn't running through his mind. MPD's were pretty hefty, able to take a beating but they lacked in the arms department and with a troop module attached they lost some of their durability. They'd have to dive, and fast, if they hoped to make it through to the atmosphere and deploy at their designated drop point.

As the flight of MPD's shot forward from the hangar they dove fast and hard, hoping to slip past the reported enemy fleet. If they were lucky and the gods favored them, perhaps they may just make it to the planet's surface unscathed.

It was unfortunate, but she did not receive the second message from the Sith as she had already left the ship bound for the city and the administration building. Moreover, it was unlikely that the message would find it's way to her private communications, that is reserved for her husband. However, the scene was set and she stood along side Ambassador Kurganova and awaited the Sith party to engage in talks. Curious as this was.

Coci remained in silence for the moment, standing with purpose and focused on the situation at hand. Although as Solan entered the room, she acknowledged his presences with a incline of the head in a bow. "Good to see you Solan". With a hint of a smile on her lips.

Connor could tell by that flicker behind the eyes, the crease in the brow, that second of hesitation – Haytham Kaze had been discovered behind his façade of a Sith Lord, when in all he was nothing but a coward. The Dark Side swelled for the first time in him, and Connor’s advance was deftly met and he stood his ground.

The Force scream which caused his vision to blur slightly with that raw power shooting out. And he spoke icy words. He was nought but flesh, blood and a beating heart. His retaliation even made Connor slow a moment, gauging the man before him who was driven by his heart.

In the instant he had reached Haytham, the Sith had him and the two were locked in a grapple. Connor tightened his grip and pulled him as close as possible to see the man’s face – to see every corrupt feature and the darkness in his eyes.

”Is that what you said to Joza Perl before you broke her – nothing but a coward!”

He seethed and went for the first hit of their struggle; a punch to the kidney, the easiest and simplest of hits to weaken a man and bring him down.

Rage.

That was the only consistency within the Sith Master's mind. That, and the need to cut down the Sith. An invasion of not only privacy, but he sought to revive recent and distant memories. Memories he didn't wish to remember. A mistake. The Jedi would learn why.

The Jedi tightened his grip in the grasp.

Athyssius's lips could've only transformed from their angry curve, to one slightly of amusement.

The phrik gauntlets of his armour were fashioned after the Mandalorian iron Crushgaunts. They were constructed in a way so that they were Crushgaunts, just made out of phrik rather than Mandalorian iron, or Beskar. Whatever part of the Jedi he held, the top of his shoulder likely, he squeezed. The gauntlets multiplied his strength. Hundreds of years ago, crushgaunts had crushed vonduun crab armour. Hundreds of years later, one could only assume that the technology would've been furthered in the way of making them more efficient. He squeezed tighter. Though that wasn't the only thing that granted him strength. It was also the Force Rage that coursed through him.

It sapped energy faster than the Dark Side of the planet could refresh him, but his pool wasn't close to being drained yet. No, his crimson orbs burned brightly as he took the punch to the gut. He didn't even flinch. A strong hit. Just a bruise, one that he would feel after the fight should he survive. The same as earlier, his underarmour, the Kinetic Impact Gel absorbed the strike, solidifying after absorbing the strength behind the punch.

"Broke her..." He repeated. His anger could only flare more. The Jedi's arm had dropped earlier, it left his helmeted head open for a strike. He stopped grappling with one hand, and with a Force Rage enhanced punch, along with the strength of the phrik Crushgaunts, his fist was sent barrelling on a course for the side of Connor Harrison's face, hopefully unbalancing him so that he could press onwards. "If she is broken, it was not only by me, Jidai." Soon, he would realize that it was this Jedi who had turned her against him. The one who was going to have to pay.

Connor landed the hit, but a blind strike from Haytham cracked against his helmet and the weight of both the hit and the helmet forced him to recoil violently and absorb the blow. He stumbled to the left, feeling the dull ache in his head. The problem with the armour, as good as it was, was now it was heavy and cumbersome; it left little room for quick, more acrobatic movement at the sake of protection.

Turning to the Sith, Connor’s eyes behind the LED eye slits narrowed at his goading. The two had a moment before each other, both landing two hits.

”It’s the price to pay when forced into slavery.” He walked up to him, face to face and his voice growling with a synthetic hate. ”And now you’ve lost her forever. She’s free.”

Well. Not entirely, but far more free than she would be under his violent hand.

A flicker of the two lovers flashed in Connor’s head and also a flash of her teary eyes seeking solace on Voss. Haytham had to pay.

Connor went to grab the holds in Haytham’s attire by his chest to launch him up with all the strength he had, waning over the course of this gladiatorial bout, and over into the hard ground where he would plan to take him apart for his crimes against the Order and against Joza.

"She was not enslaved by me, Jidai. That is a lie I know you fabricated," the Sith Lord said as he watched the Jedi carefully. Was this meant to be some trick to get him angrier? To force him to make a mistake? Or was the Jedi simply blinded by whatever it is that he saw? Or that, or he saw what he wanted to see. There had only been one scar that he had inflicted upon Joza in the physical sense, and that had been a bruise, many years ago. Whatever game the Jedi was playing, it unnerved him greatly, and he'd pay for wasting his time.

"You're as dumb as I thought you were if you think you know anything about me."

Come face death, he thought as he watched the Jedi reach for him again.

This time Athyssius was so went upwards. But even with the armour on, he was a Master of manipulating his own body. His hand had wrapped around the throat of the Jedi at the last moment so that when he sought to throw him up and above him, he utilized that momentum to tuck into himself and instead roll over his shoulder. Instead of being sent into the air, he was instead thrown over his shoulder, but with that hand growing into an arm around the Jedi's throat, he used that leverage to flip him into the dirt instead, sacrificing his right arm and dislocating it to perform the maneuver.

"She was always free, when it came to me," he said lowly. "And now I'm going to free the Galaxy of one more wretched Jidai," he said, if his words could've killed him, just that final word alone would've been like a shotgun to a naked chest. "I'm going to destroy your cities, like you destroyed Ruusan's. Innocents died there. A shame that I can't say the same for yours."

While he spoke, his right arm hung limp at his side. It didn't matter, he didn't feel it.

His left reached out and caught his deactivated lightsabre hilt after a brief call of the Force.

Connor went over again, slamming onto his side and rolling over to get up, hand pushing down on the ground to get his bearings after another fall. He was breathing hard, like a wild animal fuelled with adrenalin and not willing to back down. Professionally and personally.

He scoffed at the Sith’s words; words he had heard a thousand times and a thousand times he didn’t care. No one Jedi could save cities or liberate planets. Much like Dredge had tried to goad Connor out for battle, he simply turned the other way. Innocents would die. Cities would be lost. But in time, thousands more would rise.

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

Connor noted the awkward looking right arm and the slap of the hilt called to Haytham. This man was one of the most dedicated warriors he’d faced in a long, long time. Old fashioned, even, with the Force as a tool and not a weapon; using brains and brawn and sheer strength to push the attack.

The Jedi jabbed out with his left finger to Haytham. The ground shook as artillery fire landed in the far distance at the city from the battle raging in the distance.

”I know you’re a coward. You’re a failure to Joza. A failure to the Sith. A failure to yourself.”

He unfurled his right hand and found the signature of his deactivated lightsaber and called it; the bond forged when he had been given the hilt came back when it landed in his palm. He activated the blue blade had it held back over his right shoulder, like a bat ready to swing.
”She doesn’t love you anymore,” he growled.

With that he ran at Haytham and was ready to strike at the dead arm, but dropped in a bob and weave move, switching the blade to his left hand as he went down and as he came up for a backhanded strike at the left arm holding the Sith’s weapon.

With surprisingly nimble fingers, especially for one as large as she was, Lieutenant Merrick checked and re-checked the harness holding one of her soldiers inside a drop pod. Her massive hands gripped the straps again, tugging on them to be sure they held. She moved to check her Sergeant's weapons, each was secure along the walls of the pod. Again she moved back to the harness only to be stopped by Sergeant Allinko's hand on her wrist. "It's good Anat. You've checked it three times. Go get yourself locked in before the Commander gets pissed." The smaller woman said, gently pushing Merrick's hand away.

The Lieutenant nodded slightly and clapped a hand down on Allinko's shoulder, "See you on the ground." She closed Allinko's pod door and walked slowly down the row of drop pods, pausing briefly to peer in at Kogra and Tugra, the twin brothers that made up the rest of Fireteam Azure. The two Firrerreo brothers were strapped in and ready to go. She nodded to each as she passed by until finally she strapped herself into her own drop pod.

Merrick had only just finished securing her rifle when Commander Letham began issuing orders for launch. She smiled fiercely at the Commander's parting comment, "On your six, Commander." A moment later a warning light blinked and Fireteam Azure was launched from the No Land Beyond. Fear and anxiety twisted through Merrick's gut the moment she was free of the Carrier. Not fear of the fight they would find on the planet below, but a near maddening fear that one of her people might never reach the ground.

Not more than a few minutes later, past the initial thrust of launch, past the weightlessness of open space, beyond the turbulence of entering the atmosphere, came the bone rattling impact of landing on Thule. Merrick threw open her hatch a moment later, pulled her MM110 free of it's mount on the wall and stepped forward to survey the area. The twins were already moving toward one another about fifty meters to her left, MM100s shouldered and ready. Beyond them, perhaps seventy meters from Merrick, Sergeant Allinko was pulling herself free of her drop pod. The smaller woman rose, settled an MM115 across her shoulders as though it weighed nothing, and started toward the twins.

Merrick opened a secure channel to Commander Letham as she started toward him, "Fireteam Azure at your six o'clock Commander."

Now he knew he was doing it on purpose.

"I was on this path long before Joza." He said drily. If he had failed Joza, he had done so long before he had met the Zeltron beauty on her home planet. Perhaps it had started back when Darth Raven had tried to corrupt him to the Dark Side, so long ago. It was a wonder how he had lasted so long in the Jedi Order after that had happened. "The Sith are weak. The Jidai are weak. I'll see them all disappear before I die," he said darkly.

The only way there could be true peace in the Galaxy was if the concepts of the Jedi and Sith were destroyed. If both of them disappeared from the Galaxy, then he could unite the remaining Force users in what they had been so long ago.

But no, that would take too long. He couldn't kill them all alone, no. That's why he joined the Sith. Destroy one with the help of the other, and then destroy the rest of the victors at the end. However, that was a long time goal.

The Jedi was on a fast track to the grave.

Connor charged him, Athyssius lunged backwards, avoiding what would've been the initial attack on his dead arm had it not turned into a bob and weave. The Force Rage left him, no matter, all he needed to do was avoid another grapple. The Jedi went down, and then he came back up for a backhanded strike at the left arm. The grip of his lightsabre was reversed in a moment and he deflected the Jedi's strike to the side of the body, away from the both of them, and he turned to face the Jedi with his right shoulder.

Forget about conserving energy, he had had enough about hearing about Joza.

The Jedi had tried numerous times to just run through the Sith Lord. He aimed to do the same, and aimed his shoulder at the chest of the Jedi. It was a short distance, basically less than a foot away, but with both of their lightsabres to the ground, the right side of his body came swinging in at the armoured man to try and slam his right shoulder against him and shove his dislocated arm, right back into its socket.

A hum and flash of light sparked as the lightsabers clashed again at such close range, and both Haytham and Connor were locked close together in combat. The strength was evident from the Dark Side, and it felt like they were in a quiet bubble of their own world as the rest of the battle raged around and beyond the pair.

Jedi v Sith, but so much alike and different in their ways.

Haytham slammed into him, bucking Connor like a hammer to the chest, but getting closer than expected for him to strike. He could smell the darkness on him and see the burning in his eyes.

Connor pulled the Sith into him with his left hand clamped on his wrist holding the saber, and with his right gauntleted arm pulled it around Haytham’s neck with gritted teeth. He forced the saber down into the floor as it sizzled, and pulled the gauntlet as hard as he could into the neck of his enemy to do what he could; to break the neck, or render him unconscious, or critically cut into his throat. He summoned his resolve and strength as a Jedi and a Master to take what he could from the butcher before him.

From the corner of his eye Dean spotted movement on his sensor readout. He spun around and spotted Marguerite and Hadiyya clambering over the slick moss-covered rocks. Lightning overhead, storm clouds gathered. Marguerite held an MM99 Pistol in hand while Hadiyya shouldered a MM102 Assault Rifle, the three of them comprised Fireteam Black and were the leading commanders of Section Zero.

Lieutenant Merrick chirped across a secure channel, reporting in that Fireteam Azure was on their six. "Lieutenant," Dean began over the communicator, "Double time to the tree line. We need to secure an LZ for our birds in the sky, that forest is our best chance for a safe landing. Over." Letham turned to Hadiyya and Marguerite, "Wide wedge, eyes open, guns hot." With speed Hadiyya and Marguerite fanned out two dozen meters, weapon safety removed and raised as they slowly navigated the rock outcroppings towards the treeline.

Dean stared downrange of his rifle, his eyes would occasionally glance to the sky to see the swarm of enemy fighters. "Brooks, Talrus, Conner," he hailed the marine and the two escorting pilots, "I want a sitrep asap." He leapt from outcropping to outcropping and then thudded on soft grass, some of it scorched like the rest of the earth from the ungodly storms. "Dropping a beacon now, land at my coordinates - estimated time of arrival? Over." Dean activated his suits onboard tracking system, allowing the pilots to get an immediate hit on his location.

Meaning of Life

Ziost

'There is no Dark Lord anymore.'

Hollow eyes set their gaze on the city of New Adasta, a shadowy form carrying her through the places that light refused to touch. There was life on this planet still - she could feel it. Though she was still nearly formless, unable to truly hold a shape that was recognizable as human, the spectre was more than aware that this, at current, was more of an advantage for the Sith than it was not. It offered her stealth, whereas a faded form of Silara would have given her away to anyone that might have been at the battle for Ziost in the past or knew of the former voice of the Dark Lord. For all the vulnerabilities that this state of being imposed on her, this perhaps was its only saving grace.

'No more Sith unified under the One vision.'

Silara's thoughts were certainly focused on survival at the present, and the desire to continue her closeness with the dark side of the force, but it did not lead her on a single-minded suicide mission into Jedi territory. She had a plan, even if it were risky, that would serve both as a way to walk with the living and to sneer at the forces of the light side. What better way to make an entrance than to transfer her essence into the body of a Jedi? She would not play with her food like the ancient Exar Kun and Darth Andeddu - she had no delusions that she would not be destroyed if she lingered as a spectre to toy with the weak, and knew that audacity had put her in this situation in the first place.

Nothing would make her feel any better than the rush of feeling the life ebb away from a Jedi as hers returned in full.

Southside Transceiver - Silver Jedi Headquarters

Communications weren’t too terribly complicated. Data was transcribed into a series of packets, packets were then transferred into a wave or signal form. Usually these packets were encrypted with a key of some sort, a complex and nearly impossible to solve algorithm that would take any organic months to complete. This process was pretty standard when it came to sending data of any sort, whether it be secret military communications or a dirty text message from your mistress.

Of course, this process could be enhanced.

The sender code encode his information with various other forms of protection, more algorithms, logic steps, half a dozen different things that could shield anything from actually looking at what they were sending. Of course, this did not stop anyone would making a copy of what was being sent. This process was known as mirroring.

This was what Munin was doing within the tower. He was not actually slicing into anything, mostly because he did not have the equipment, but instead he was taking the signals the Transceiver was rerouting, most notably those that were heavily encrypted, and copying them onto the harddrive of his datapad. Once the data was on his drive, he began the rather extensive process of actually seeing what was being sent.

It was arduous, but it was also the only way of doing this without anyone actually knowing what was going on.

Of course, decrypting the data would normally take hours and hours of time, perhaps even months, but Munin was specialized in this task. This was his speciality as a slicer. Decryption was a large chunk of nearly everything he did, it was primarily how he and Munin gathered information. He smiled for a second as he watched the program start to run it’s course, decrypting a large pack of data from both the Silver Jedi...and whatever this other organization was.

The Information Broker turned around and began to fiddle with more wires, pulling out another device from his bag and splicing it into the transceiver alongside his datapad.

He wasn’t quite finished yet.

He could feel her distress through their close bond, calling out to him and wishing him there. He should never have let her go on her own - he should have followed, as he had always done before taking up his father's crown. As soon as the ramp of their shuttle was lowered, Thyrian rushed inside before the medical team could even react. Seeing his beloved in such a pained state was... terrifying, for lack of a better word. Thurion turned as his brother arrived, and subsequently moved away to give the two some small semblance of privacy.

Thyrian took Kära's hand that had previously been held by his brother, feeling her squeeze him firmly as he looked down into her eyes. "Snowflake, I'm here. It's your Phoenix..." he spoke to her softly with a loving smile on his lips. His fingertips caressed her cheek as they gazed upon one another, moments before he leaned in for a loving kiss. "Our son wishes to see the world," he whispered once their kiss ended. By now the medical team was getting eager to get started treating her, and so Thurion placed a hand upon his older brother's shoulder, demanding his attention.

"Thyrian, we need to get her to the med-bay. This is no place for delivering the future of our people." He was right, of course, and he would offer him a nod of thanks to let him know as much. The medical team brought their stretcher over and together the two brothers lifted Kära over to it, making sure it would be as smooth a transition as possible. They followed when the medics hastily transported her out of the hangar through the hallways until they reached the med-bay, and once she'd been put into a proper hospital bed offering maximum comfort, they two of them remained by her side.

"Thurion, I'm... I feel I must apologise for not fully trusting you with Kära. I only followed because I feared for her--" Without warning the younger brother threw his arms around his elder. "Thank the Force that you did, Thyrian. Kära is safe, as is the baby. That is all that matters." As their brotherly embrace ended Thurion placed his hand upon his elder's cheeks and looked him in the eye. "You need to be strong for her now, brother. It will be just as mentally exhausting for you as for her physically." Thyrian steeled himself and leaned forward until their foreheads touched, then returned to Kära's side where he would remain until little Thrand had been brought into the world.

The X-22 Drexl rocked as space around him superheated from a barrage of turbolaser blasts that came too close for Corrax' liking. They were halfway through the assault force to the planet at this point, and the number of losses were far higher than Corrax had hoped. Three-flight was gone completely - four good pilots that he would never see again - along with the MPD they'd been defending. Sparing a glance for his his tactical readout, he saw far too many Red-squadron fighters gone dark. The shear number of TIE-Sentinels around them was enough to make things difficult; couple that with the capital ships' occasional volleys of death and you had a real karkstorm.

The volume inside his cockpit suddenly rose to a fever pitch as alarm whistles sounded, indicating a target lock. Sensors showed a flight of six TIE-Sentienls moving up behind them. "One-flight, we've got company!" he called over comms.

Pulling the pilot's yoke hard to port, Corrax broke away to evade the target lock. Moving engines to full, he tore away from the pursuing TIE, Red-Two close on his wing. The Sentinels were fast, but not as fast at the Drexl's. Fortunately, they weren't much better armed, for that matter. Corrax kept a close eye on his tactical display, seeing that two of TIE-Sentinels that had remained to harry the MPD while two had broken after his wing pair. The other two had gone after Red's Three and Four, respectively. He wasn't concerned for the MPD, not with just two of the TIE's pursuing. They could last all day against just the two of them.

Corrax and his wing continued on their big loop, the two TIE's trying to keep pace but failing, due to the Drexl's superior speed and maneuverability. As his target entered into Corrax' crosshairs on his HUD, the two broke opposite directions in an evasive pattern. Corrax and his wing split, each taking one of the two TIE's. Corrax worked the enemy pilot into the center of his display, then squeezed the trigger. Lines of 12mm slugs flew forward, momentum and density combining to shred the starboard wing of the TIE ahead of him. The ship entered an out of control spin and Corrax knew there was no recovery. He started to swing back toward his wing's target, only to see the blip disappear from sensors. Bringing the yolk around, he maneuvered back toward the MPD and its trailing fighters as a call for a sitrep came in.

"Zero, Red-Leader, cutting through enemy fighter screens now, breaking atmo in approximately two minutes," he called over fleet channels. Corrax inspected his tactical screen as he closed on the MPD and its friends, checking the progress of the rest of One-Flight.

The Thurra System
Hurom, Thule

"Milord!"

A stocky adjutant stumbled out from the shuttle's bay doors and ran up to the imposingly armored Sith Lord, his Imperial dress was stained with his own sweat and his side swept black hair was oily and disheveled. He carried in his right hand a data pad, and after a moment of stopping and gathering up his wits he rigidly handed the pad over to the Dark Lord who accepted it with his left. Since his arrival on the roof of the Sith Temple at the center of Hurom he had disengaged his battle helmet so that his eyes, unsullied by technology, could bear witness to his triumphant return to Thule. His long black hair now billowed in the wind, and with an armored claw he absently scratched at his full beard. The data pad he now held within his grasp detailed the arrival of an enemy fleet, and their spear-headed advance to break through the blockade to land ground troops on the planet's surface.

"Not Coalition?"

"No, milord, our projections estimate that this enemy fleet followed us all the way from the Pacanth Reach."

A disheartening discovery, but not unexpected. His people had been increasingly at odds with a group of self-righteous soldiers that had gone about calling themselves the Commonwealth, but he didn't expect them to divert resources to a tract of space so far away from their home. All for him? A cute notion, but one that would only lead to their destruction. He quickly handed the data pad back to the adjutant, who stuffed it away in a satchel slung around his shoulder.

"Tighten our defenses, and I want the long-range scanners working overtime. Organize planet-wide patrols as well, make sure the Nexu's are ready to be deployed and fueled to completion. If these Commonwealth droogs want to come to the other end of the galaxy just to fight me, then I won't deprive them of that but I will leave nothing to chance. I want their movements tracked, and I want to know if there are any Commonwealth operatives are already planet-side."

The adjutant saluted and quickly moved off to jump back into the shuttle to carry out the Dark Lord's orders, and soon enough the word would be spread through the secure comm channels of the Blackblade Guard. Reconnaissance Guardsmen would be assembled, swiftly debriefed on their missions, and outfitted with a combination of long-range and short-range weaponry along with advanced scanning equipment before being partnered with their speeder bike. From each Blackblade outpost these roving bands of mounted soldiers would thunder out to scour the countryside at a methodical pace, while the fighters that had initially moved into Thule's atmosphere would converge on any enemy ships that managed to break through.

After the message had been broadcast, the challenge offered I realized that this pitiful competition was nothing more than that. A pitiful competition, whether or not me and Kaine ended up locked in combat we still could end up falling to the combined forces of the Commonwealth, losing the planet to them and the jedi. Reports of them dropping down into the forest outside the city came over military channels. I’d rather see the planet under the reigns of Kaine than under the rule of the jedi or people like the Commonwealth. They understood nothing about freedom, they’d install politicians that care more for power than for the people. Institute laws that could possibly forbid the practice of the Dark Side and alienate an entire culture that had accepted the Sith culture in one way or another. This could not, no would not be allowed to happen.

“Open a direct channel to Kaine Zambrano “ Every impulse told me not to do it, to not strike a bargain with Kaine Zambrano but I had to just for a short run. There was a bigger fish that had to be taken care of before I could settle up with the Sith Lord.

“Channel established.” The soldier said flicking a few more switched on the control panel. “But you just issued him a challenge, why would you wa-“ Before he could finish there was the sound of a snap-hiss, the smell of burnt ozone quickly followed by the sound of a thump as the soldiers head hit the floor.

No one could bear witness to what I was about to do. “ [member="Darth Carnifex"] as strong as the urge to cut you down is, I will set it aside. Commonwealth droppods have been spotted landing in the forest outside Hurom. I suggest we aid each other in this endeavor… And only this endeavor.” The offer had been made but I needed to get to work quickly if I was going to be of any use. From the broadcast tower I had a view over the entirety of the city that stretched out below me and out past the walls of the city.

Sirella looked at Enyo appraisingly. She never broke her pleasant smile as her hand traveled forward with fingers cupped and pulled back on the woman's eye to get a look at her. She leaned in and stared for a moment before caressing her cheek and continuing down to her jawline opening up the mouth and examining her teeth. “Interesting. You’re very pretty for meat.”

Like a predator circling prey Sirella did a quick lap around the two women, the two Sith. “You have here an opportunity. Inside this city there are dark side mystics and ruling magisters who value our us. We have come here to defend them by their invitation. It is a rare thing the sith are so openly invited, especially after the follies of previous orders and administrations.” Sirella stopped again a breath before Enyo narrowing her eyes. And then meeting Matsu. “Meat is so malleable.”

Wind blew the sand over the bridge and the water below rippled. The dry air and risen sun refreshed Sirella as she contemplated things. “I have risen from their tombs the spirits of this place. The old masters and priests long past. I have risen those who created the temples and structures that dot the landscape. Those who carved their mark into this planet. It is, a trifling matter, and yet unlike the horde I see before me they have a measure of will, of intelligence.”

The willowy form of a spirit glided by the bridge swirling around them until stopping by Sirella’s side. The woman stared a bolt of hate into the creature dominating it with her will and forcing it to kneel before her. “The attack proceeds mistress…” the priest of old said.

“You and yours flit about the air, tell us what you see.”

“Undead mistress, attacking the Jedi. But they fight back. Corpses alone will not-”

The spirit was cut short by the raising of Sirella’s hand. “Moira sends her regards. Good. Have the bulk of Archangels forces begin to fortify around the city. Your droids do not propagate, the dead do. Every warrior slain becomes a new puppet of ours. The Tsaiwinokka Hoyakut spell will let the dead infect any they bite turning them into undead as well. You have feasted well and bolstered our ranks.” Her eyes turned to Matsu with an appreciative glance. “Besides there are more still who may join the fighting for this place.”

Enemies: Sith (I'm open to taking an opponent for some PvPing on Korriban)

The Republic
may have been on its last legs, but its people would remain. They still required her protection, and she would continue to provide it as long as she drew breath. Sometimes that meant doing so behind a desk or podium, but today she would be doing so at the head of a legion. The Sith just didn't know when to quit, so now it was time to forcibly evict them from the Caldera, again.

While the journey from Dac to the Stygian Caldera would take some time, she took advantage of every single second of it to prepare her hastily gathered forces. The bulk of her units consisted of Yinchorri and battle droids she had brought from Kiribian space, ideal for contending against Sith. A Yinchorri was every bit as vicious as a Sith Marauder in battle, while also being able to resist crippling mental influences. The droids countered the trash mobs of monsters that the Sith so loved to employ.

Kiribians embedded with the Caridian flotilla at Ziost were able to relay her intelligence direct through biocomm, so she would be coming into the region with somewhat of a picture of conditions on the ground. The Sith had managed to deploy forces all across the Caldera, but they were meeting resistance by the Silver Jedi at every turn. The Jedi looked to be nearly overwhelmed at Korriban, though, where the initial thrust of the Sith assault had occurred. She settled on Korriban as a target, then brought her commanders together for a quick briefing. That included General Thorja, another transplant she had brought over from the Republic military.

"The Jedi look to be in the most trouble on Korriban, so that's where we'll be hitting. Colonel Connor will be leading the main attack force against the Sith
massing
at Korriban City. If infantry units are dropped in the city, it will only be droids. Ensure that everyone is properly equipped with their CBRN kits in addition to their hardsuits. The Sith have deployed highly contagious bio-weapons en masse."

"I've tasked General
Thorja with leading a secondary force to reinforce the Jedi at their outpost. In the event that the Jedi still can't hold the outpost, then the mission will turn to coverage for evacuation. To be frank, the sooner we can get friendly forces out of the area, the better. There's slim chance in reclaiming the settlement, but we will try as long as the Jedi are willing."

If she could get the Jedi to move out, then that would be best. She could get away with just leveling all the ruins with air strikes or orbital bombardment. The Caridians were in possession of a few ships perfect for such a job.

"Secondary objectives include collecting tissue samples from bio-weapons for study. Bioterrorism remains one of the greatest threats to the galaxy, and we need to start getting ahead of it with the development of proper counter-measures."

She would probably be carrying out that particular objective herself once she got planetside. Part of the reason was keeping her troops out of unnecessary harm, but the other reason was a more personal desire just to wail on something, whether it be one of the Sith or their minions.
Battle was a guilty pleasure of the half-Thyrsian, and Korriban presented the perfect opportunity to finally scratch that itch. There was a whole stockpile of weapons that she had been dying to try out in live combat.
