The Siege of Commenor [TSE/CSA]

[member="Ithnan Cryo"] 's run up the wall surprised Einon completely. Fortunately he had gotten a shot in to get the Sith down. But he had kept on running. Einon hated being cuffed, yet spontaneous actions tended to have it's drawbacks. At least he had a blaster.

An access point neared, which was great as he was getting tired. Einon forced his legs to move faster, the muscles screaming at him. And then came the trash can. It hit him square on the back, knocking him flat onto his stomach. He lifted his arms to avoid falling on them as his body skidded on the pavement.

He grit his teeth as he rolled onto his back, looking for the enemy that pursued him, searching not with just his eyes, but with his blaster as well. Einon had to be sure to not overheat the thing, so the shots that he fired were few and far between. But this Sith was a jumpy sort. Hopefully he'd be able to keep up.

"Excellent."

The treaty rolled itself back up and was safely returned to the tube in which it was retrieved, the cap sealing with a definitive hiss of flushed air before flying through the air to land in the Emperor's outstretched hand. He then attached the tube to his waist via a magnetic clamp. "You are a wise woman, your majesty. The generations of Commenori who survive long after this war will sing songs of how you ensured the lives of their forebearers, perhaps they will even erect a statue in your honor."

He turned and made his way to leave, stopping in the threshold only to cast a glance back and offer several parting words. "The treaty will be broadcast across all space, and once Commenor has been pacified of resistance you will be allowed to return to the palace." Once Commenor had been made safe for travel, that is. The Emperor knew perfectly well the strength in patience and was sure that if he moved the Queen down to the planet's surface now that he'd run the risk of some patriot attempting to steal away Queen Arenais and render his political advantage null and void.

"Then you and your people will see the benefit of Imperial Law." The two gargantuan Sith Lords disappeared from the cell, which was locked behind them as they left. True to his word, the contents of the treaty would be broadcast to any and all who would heed the edict of the Emperor. Kay's signature would be a focal point, concrete evidence that the sovereign of Commenor had signed her world into Imperial occupation.

The battle, for the record books, was officially over.

A solid enough hit in his books. Ithnans pace slowed to a more jogging pace as the sporadic shots of the blaster pistol came his way and were deflected in all directions besdeds where the progenitor had intended. As Ithnan grew closer and closer and the shot continued to come he spoke bluntly and directly. "Commenor crawls and struggles on the ground. Is this your survival? Why not place the pistol to your head and pull. At least die a martyr." He chuckled, though his cockiness had made him mistime his movements and a stray bolt grazed the side of his armor making him suck his teeth at the unnecessary damage. He stopped a few paces in front of [member="Einon"] looking to deflect whatever else the man would throw at him. Not far behind him now two troopers were beginning to pull up.

Ithnan was completely serious in commanding the man to kill himself. He wanted to see how strong a will the man actually possessed with his life truly pushed into a corner. "Surrender now, or place the gun to your head and save them the time." He would look down at the man waiting for either a surrender, martyrdom or more petty resistance. All the options led to this mans death in his head. "So, what will it be?" He smelt a small whiff of his burnt flesh and immediately was taken into account how lucky he was and remembering his academy days. Level-headedness, and stoicism it was his neutral, his balance. Slowly he returned to it as his cold red eyes showed little care for the man's choice.

Einon grit his teeth as nearly every blaster fire he made had missed it's mark. The comment made by [member="Ithnan Cryo"] about survival or suicide did nothing to improve his mood. "I'm but a single man.
If you think that I'm what represents Commenor, then you Sith aren't as smart as I gave you credit for."

He got to his feet as the two troopers arrived. There was little chance of him gaining entry into the access point now. Einon spat on the ground and then tossed the blaster behind him. "I guess I lose today." His tone was so nonchalant that he might as well of been talking about picking up groceries. Though in this case was was calculating his odds. And they weren't very good. Still, he wasn't about to take the coward's way out and commit suicide.

"Are you going to take me to your leader? Or mine?" Einon quipped. His line of work was a dangerous one. His gut instinct told him, however, that it would be over soon. Still, he didn't let that bother him. He had no family to speak of. He was married to his work. Failing that, there was nothing left for him but to stoke the flames of resistance.

And he did.

No suicide then? He looked on as Einon was apprehended by the Troopers. "Youll go with the rest of the useless. Unless you hold some special value to Command then your time is better spent wondering whether you'll be executed or sent to a labor camp. Pack him up so we can get out this place. The people here are quite annoying and their streets are filthy." He kicked a collapsed brick out his way as he began walking back down the alleyway. The Troopers were sure to keep an eye on [member="Einon"] this time with two training their gun over him while a third cuffed his hands behind his back.

Following closely behind him Ithnan would remain quiet and just look over the occupation as he passed by rushing prisoners vans and legions of transport ship touching down to deliver whatever supplies were being requested. It was over as quick as it had started, a sad affair for the Commenori he was sure. It wasn't as if they stood a chance and yet they tried. The other worlds of the alliance were cowards through and through, but the sad truth was the craven and strong would survive while the brave perished. With a corner of his mouth rising he started to wonder if somewhere right now a poem was writing a song about Commenor. Tragedies made for the most interesting art.
