Private The Shattered Perception

Saki Saki

Upon getting to more level ground. Draven had a slim respite to actually admire the stream and forestry. In addition to the cliffs they had both came down from. Though it was a short lived admiration. As Draven worked on making sure not to loose the leader. While he was doing a good job suppressing it. He was starting to become fatigued by pushing himself to keep up. This was a good thing however. As it just showed that Draven was currently on the right regiment to start pushing his limits. Which would help him expand upon his conditioning and make him all the better during field work.

Draven watched where his newfound master was at. Not too terribly far ahead and she appeared to be slowing just enough to allow him to catch up. Which Draven made sure to do. She had been very clear about her expectations for Draven. He was determined not to let her down. Sometimes the weight of willpower could carry you. Other times it was best to make sure you were in top physical shape and not take chances you know wouldn't likely pay off.

Saki continued when she felt him get closer and didn't stop but spoke as the armors helmet slid back opening up and it went into the armor. "Are you holding up well enough?" Saying it and moving across the river rocks as they were able to go deeper into the forest and the gorge that was set up. She slid down through it into the underbrush that created shadows and the temperature became humid and hot... thicker with moisture as it clung to her skin but she could feel it as going through it with no sunlight aside from slivers. Thick branches with thistles and points smacking into parts of her face before she was putting the helmet back on and snapping the branches out of the way barrleing through it.

Draven was a bit caught in the exercise that it took him a moment to acknowledge she spoke to him. As he glanced over her direction and processed the question.

"I will be able to get to where we are headed." Draven expressed in a manner of confidence. While the run was catching up to him. He didn't have room to doubt that he would be able to keep up. As well as reach the destination. Then he'd need to focus up on how to recover for strength training.

Draven followed her down into the ravine. Noting the terrain had become more hostile in this section of the run. Evidenced by the fact he was now contesting with sharp things imbedding themselves in his skin. At least making an effort to do so. Draven occasionally winced at particularly nasty slashes. Though otherwise did not make a complaint. Every living thing had a purpose and he could not flaw a plant for being in it's place. Even if that placement was highly inconvenient to his objective. Draven was more then capable for the most part working around the dangers despite the lack of light. Since reading the environment with the force was not so difficult to him. Sometimes reading things with the force came too easily to him and not in a necessarily good way.

Saki kept moving and she could feel the pieces of brush going against the armor as she came barreling out of it. The underbrush of the forest clearing a little but the air was still muggy.. the light still filtering through the thicker canopy. The jedi master turned wit it and went down as the path curved leading back towards the larger mountain. At the top an energy bridge that led to the temple and between it was rocky terrain usually hovered over. Thicker trees and sheer drops onto jagged rocks when the jedi master started leaping to climb up each of the rocks. Her armor crushing some and sending debris down with each crash of the metal against stone.

Draven kept up despite having to push to do so. Occasionally he performed a sit of strikes to break branches which were whippy enough to avoid breaking from his master's power armor. As he followed her out to the next leg of the journey.. more rocks. Fun. Draven was really starting to like rocks.. constantly coming at him like they had some personal vendetta against him. Then again.. he had thrown many of boulders and rocks as a means to improving his telekinetic abilities. Cosmic justice might be in effect.

Draven had to deflect the shards his master's suit launched back at him. Sometimes using kicks, blocks, and strikes with his elbows and hands. For the smaller and less jagged chunks. The force deflecting most of the chunks that posed too much risk for him to take hits by directly. Usually by projecting barriers, occasionally blasting them apart, or flinging them aside.. and when possible. He tried to absorb the force into himself to start practicing how to harden himself so to avoid the impacts.. usually this just resulted in him getting cut up however.. still only way to learn sometimes was to get jabbed until you figure it out.

Of course Draven's pace did falter some as he multi-tasked. Though not enough that he fell terribly behind for the time being.

Saki kept moving and she could feel Draven was behind her trying to keep up but also using the force... to augment and strengthen himself. Saki reached the top and didn't turn but she was ready in case he needed the help as she came to the energy bridge it was deactivated for protection and she stood there. LEtting herself have the moment without resting but she was focused and smiled a little at the fun they were having. "You doing alright there?" SHe said it when she was checking over some of the ssystems on the armor.. there wasn't much but it pushed her body to the limit to reach the best preformance.

"Hanging in." Draven replied as he gradually closed the distance to where she was at. Draven looked at the energy bridge should be at. Noting it was disabled. Causing him to glance back the way they came. Then look to his Master assessing what the next move should be. Draven was cut up from dealing with rock shards for awhile. Proving his inexperience of drawing the force into himself. Though despite the fact he was continuing to reach and push his limits. Draven seemed just as determined when they began. Ready to see this through irregardless of what needed to be done from here.

THere was a look at what he was searching for. "Good." She said it and walked over towards him... "Now what we are going to do it practice for when we are surrounded with enemies and need to make some progress. You'll just have to learn by doing." She said it and went to grab him to throw him across the expanse under the bridge for aerial training. The toss would be easy enough... throwing him in light equipment compared to a shuttle or tank was much much easier.... then her voice came with a shout. "If you are going to fall do it with style."

Draven was a bit confused.. wouldn't they just.. and then he was in the air again. "Frik!" Draven exclaimed. Only to hear his Master call to him. Instructing him to fall with style. Draven began to quickly assess his options. As he rotated himself in the air. Time began to slow down while Draven began to tap heavily in the force. Slowing down his momentum just enough the impact wouldn't outright harm him. Before his lightsaber flicked up into his hand and he activated the blade. He supposed he might as well take on the role of if though he was in the middle of combat.

He focused the remaining momentum of the fall dispersing it into the ground as he landed into a guard position. Creating a enough of a shockwave to knock a few boulders barely off the ground. While he reached out and suspended them in the air and began to hover them around him in a rotating circle. He figured with a bit more finesse on his behalf he could of accomplished more. Though as it was he did appear as if though he was ready to challenge any threat near to him.

He was flying and seemed to get the idea of the lesson.. maybe... either way she backed up and judged it for a moment before running forward and leaping.. the force in her legs and using the force to shape flame behind her like jets for a moment to get the height needed to go over the boulders he was levitating. Saki landed with a roll as her hand dug into the ground and stopped her momentum.. the jedi master looked at the boy but offered a nod of her head. "Good you didn't splat against a wall... see my training is teaching you already how not to die." She nodded and didn't believe it herself more she was trying to inspire the confidence within him.

Draven glanced and acknowledged the realization.. splat was a very sincere possibility. So.. huzzah for not becoming mushy. His blade zipped off and he clipped the hilt back in it's proper place on his side. The boulders slowly lowered as Draven tried his best to maintain composure. Despite wanting to slump some. The crystal inside of his hilt felt like it was starting to berate him for not paying attention to it.

Draven looked to his Master ready to finish off the stretch back to the temple. Before looking to see what she had planned for the strength portion. Perhaps if s break was provided he could resolve whatever the crystal was complaining to him about. Assuming it wasn't some delusion he had begun to conjure up.

Saki looked upon him and she grinned. "Well for the last leg how about wee go old school... now in some reports and holocrons jedi masters would climb upon their padawans backs and guide them on runs and training courses... so are you ready?" She said it and looked at him in the full armor as she stood there. "You'll carry me on your back to the temple." She waited a minute or two for him to react and then laughed... "Hahaha I kid I kid... see I am not without a sense of humor and stuff." SHe stood tall and ready for it. "Put I do want you working on your strength for this last leg.. so find something heavy and balance it so you can carry it and run alright."

He assessed the armor and looked to her. Trying to assess if she was kidding. Giving he'd seen what she did to the ground while she ran. Eventually, she did give way to admitting at least time it was a joke. Draven looked about before beginning to pick up boulders. Until he found one which he could not only lift. Though could lift with the ability to run with. As just because you could lift something didn't mean you'd be necessarily get anywhere with it. Still the boulder was not light enough that running with it would be Easy for Draven. Especially at his current level of fatigue.

Just enough he'd be regretting it when he woke up in the morning. Which sleep would not be debatable for him this evening. Draven then began to follow his Master the remainder of the way. Doing his best to keep pace with the new found load he carried.

Saki Saki looked at him go about picking and she jumped up and down a little in place as she was getting ready and prepared... moving forward with her attention as the temple was in ther distance. Draven she could see was following the lesson at least..... with one he could manage but wasn't trying to overreach in terms of size or weight. Meanwhile her speed increased a little and Saki moved as people cleared out of the way. THe momentum between them and their run had remained good for most of it but stopping there had been a problem as it were and she wanted to get it while thinking how best to continue after the warm up and opening of their routine.

Draven doubted he would become accustomed to the.. begrudging respect.. he'd allocate the term as. His newfound master had upon these grounds. He would say fear, though fear wasn't exactly the proper term. It was more akin to survival skills his master inspired. By making it evident those in her path would either move on their own accord, or be moved by her preference of relocation. Draven didn't have to spend much time to determine that was the way things were. As such it was understandable why so many people had a wariness to them whenever his Master was within potential striking distance.

Draven contemplated if he'd survive long enough to commend similar skills. His socialization skills were subpar and generally he did fall into the actions speak louder category. Not that it was ever his initial intention to be such. Though after a certain point when one realizes that this is merely an alternative form of bettering the world around them. It isn't so bad. If he could make it so his presence alone was a deterrent to conflict. Then it would still be mission accomplished. This just assured that if conflict was inevitable he'd be ready and willing to face it.. Even if off the principal of.. if you think You are scary.. you obviously never met who trained me. Let the fun begin.

The run back to the temple was not as eventful and Saki finished as she came into the entryway getting some looks but she stopped and stood there. Walking in the massive armor as some of the jedi who had been working on it came to greet her and well go over what had happened. They were collecting the information needed as she led the way back towards the room and her case of equipment slowly setting each piece in there with repulsors and anti-grav sets. It would keep the pieces in individual cradles to not be weighed down. She stood there and unburdened stretched out and hopped around in place. The smirk on her face as she checked on the small pinpricks on her body... she was examining it and the armor was designed to push the body past the breaking point until even the body might be broken or damaged.. it would keep her going more then her own willpower but as a final stand it was what you wanted to be able to use. She looked back at Draven though. "So do you feel warmed up?"

Draven remained on her tail the best of his ability. Discarding the rock just before entering into the building. While he heaved a brief sigh of relief while watching his Master. While she began to better organize her arsenal. Draven took this moment to finally focus upon the darn crystal in his weapon. To see what it's fuss was all about. Closing his eyes he reached out to the crystal and began to just.. absorb. When he finally connected a refreshing wave hit him. His body relaxing as his stamina restored. Any ache he had from the journey began to fade out of mind.

Then his master spoke to him drawing his attention back away from the crystal. Draven's eyes opened and he felt the aching slowly creep back into effect. Though whatever the crystal had done for him. He was ready for the next round of this new training regiment. "I am warmed up."

Draven gave a nod of confirmation. While he stretched out his arms and legs. He was sure as time progressed he'd find what was challenging today to be but a simple task in the future, and whatever seemed beyond his reach would feel nothing more than what today was. As long as Draven was willing to push himself. Then pushing himself he would do.

Saki nodded... good that was good. If he was warmed up then they could practice combat techniques and that meant only one thing. "Alright... we are going to try some coordinated moves.... a master and student should be able to aid each other and work off of one another yes?" She said it more like a question as sshe was guessing and she had seen some other master and student pairs who fought in tandem... she just needed a means to with her padawan here make sure he was able to adjust and help in a fight. "Now I am going to fling you again... so you can get some aerial practice... dive bombing and handling threats we might not be able to reach with a saber... then I am going to spin you around and use you to smack combat droids."

Saki Saki

Draven's eyebrows furrowed at the suggestion of flinging him about at droids. Though once again he gave a simple shrug. It would all become practical at some point. Was the best justification he could offer for the wild suggestion. Regarding her perspective on co-operation. Still Draven decided he looked forward to the aerial challenges which she offered to him. Considering his time around her was starting to prove if there was anything which was certain. If you weren't being crushed, then likely you were being sent skyward. Draven was more than eager to stay on the sky-high side of his master's temperament.

Draven did one last stretch. Before offering Saki another confirming nod. As his gaze suddenly inquired a level of focus. While he began to prepare himself to adapt and try and place the adaptions into muscle memory for when the time came for the battlefield.

He seemed ready for it and she hah a grin on her face. "Good if you are ready... we'll throw you at the wall.. I want you to kick off of it. If you mess up think of it as a good elarning experience for not messing up again." SHe said it and stood there planting her feet while looking at the far wall and motioned for Draven to come and get on her shoulder as she could lift him and with her hand holding his boots toss him in an arc at the wall. SHe wanted him to get used to it and well it would improve her aim and accuracy with it as well.. maybe next time targets that she would be abel to aim at and project them... that way in case Draven smacked itno the wall they could point out the bloodstains as learning experiences
