Draven Eterena
The Storm Rider
Draven heard her call to him instructing him to call for her when he finished. Draven gave a short nod in response while he focused. Draven was aware everything needed to be done with the finest of accuracy. Otherwise, you were a large multitude of problems which could stem from a mishap. Draven pulled out his primary crystal and once more focused upon it. As he continued to place his force signature upon the stone. He continued to observe it gave him a sense of hyper awareness about his surroundings. Such as the fact his tutor was doing pull ups not too far away. At the same time, it had a grounded and focused nature to it as well. Making completing the task more prevalent. Draven felt a sense like the crystal itself was much akin to the elemental philosophies some scholars would talk about. A sort of clairvoyance akin to air.. Stability akin to earth. The crystal had yet to reveal properties similar to water, or fire yet. Though Draven had the sense those would come in time.
Draven focused upon placing the required number of crystals into their placements. Using the Force a bit more heavily for this portion as he needed to make sure the alignment was flawless. This took a lot more time than most of the other steps. While every step was important. The alignment was one of the parts that could seriously harm the operator if done improperly. Eventually the padawan fitted the crystals in and began to wrap up the internals. Deciding against an internal activation switch. As he decided he would rather have a weapon accessible when he couldn't rely on the force. Than have a weapon only force users could operate.
Draven began to work on the hilt finally. Making it a combination of durasteel, crodium, and slivian iron. Draven added some leather wrapping, and some mild alterations. To cut the shine off of the metal by adding in some mild scuffs. Making it so it would more easily blend with his tan pants. While avoiding being overly flashy if he chose to hide it elsewhere. Draven went for an arbiter like design. As it wasn't too bulky yet still had enough of a body to make it viable for combat. Draven implemented a uniquely designed switch out of some of the left over crodium which was small enough to make it difficult to easily find, yet big enough not to cause Draven too much hassle in flicking it on at a moment's notice. Draven also implemented within the switches slide an additional transition. As a means to establish a locking activator. Draven could easily set the switch into the normal position so the saber would disable if the pressure switch was released as a safety mechanism. While also being able to flick the switch the left to lock the blade on if ever Draven decided to utilize the lightsaber telekinetically. Draven set the focusing Lense and made sure to set the ability to adjust the blade's intensity.
Draven took a moment to look over the saber he crafted. Taking it apart a couple times by hand and reassembling it. Before using the force to do the same a couple of times. When satisfied the way it was constructed. A process which by no means took just a simple moment. Draven found his activation switch and flicked the blade on. A dark green blade snapped and hissed to life in front of Draven. The humming of the blade heating up the air around it as it moved caused his hairs to stand up on end. While Draven flicked the switch back off. Draven then adjusted the blade intensity to a point where it was non-lethal. Before lighting the blade again. Draven then went through a few basic thrusts, cuts, and twirls of his blade. Going between one handed technique and two-handed technique. Getting a proper feel for the balance of his weapon.
Finally, Draven turned to his tutor. While he de-activated his lightsaber once more. "I believe it is constructed to my liking." Draven spoke in manner which was confident. As Draven had been careful in each of his steps, and patient. Which was something required for crafting a companion weapon. Draven was also understandably a bit excited. As now came the more pro-active part of the endeavor. Testing out the lightsaber and feeling how it interacted in combat. Plus, he figured this would let his tutor who had been courteous enough to provide most of the supplies, as well as a pep talk a means to do something beyond exercising and waiting around while a padawan poked at things.
