Private The Shattered Perception

Saki Saki

Draven was not sure what to think of the large slab of metal. He figured it was a blade of some sort. Though as his mentor and the craftsmen exchanged opinions on the sharpness of the edge. Draven couldn't help but wonder if this even qualified as a blade or if it was more a paddle for slapping things into submission. From the naming Saki eventually settled upon. It felt very ominous to Draven what the chunk of metal would be smacking about. Beyond his newfound mentor's foes in combat. For a while Draven had done his best to just remain a patient and silent observer though when she thought of nicknaming it padawan smacker. Draven came to a thought.

"That'd be certainly intimidating. Though smacking padawans would have to be the least people meeting that blade would be concerned about. I'm pretty certain you could fling a padawan across an entire battlefield. Just be like having a tactical padawan artillery strike the enemy has to deal with. Then get back to butchering any foe near to you." He mused in thought. While he attempted to calculate all the possible outcomes of such a maneuver. Of course, the Padawan would have to be experienced with ariel maneuvering and prepared to suddenly be launched into possibly hostile zones. Though any enemy would need to definitely be wary of any level of force user just going from point A to point E in a matter of a few short moments of airtime. As most anti air deterrents weren't designed with a 'hyper sonic humanoid moving across the field' focus. Exaggeration of this statement only a mild possibility.

Saki looked at the padawan as he spoke about her tactical options and she turned to look at the engineer. "New project... padawan cannon. We will beat our enemies by raining padawans upon them." That got a look but Saki held up a hand. "I know... I know best idea you have heard but elts try and control ourselves... we will be able to work on a few other things here.. specifically I want us to be able to work on getting some robes for my padawan." When she said that there was a look on their faces. "Yes I said it... he is my padawan and I am teaching him how to strengthen himself... also speed." SHe took a moment to look at the padawan smacker with one eye and then at Draven and test swung it.

Draven was caught a bit off guard by the fact his suggestion was prompting a new invention. Though he should of known better. What came next was further surprising. As he glanced over to Saki. Glanced to the engineers and then glanced to his robes. Right.. these were more casual wear. It would be probably a good idea to have robes which could provide protection. Additionally, Draven felt he could benefit from having a primary teacher by this point.

Oh boy.. Once more Draven's instincts hit the dial up to.. Oh crud! Levels upon the mention of the word speed. Draven didn't need to catch the look his mentor was giving him. To get a general idea what was coming. As he immediately dove over the swing and rolled on the ground onto an upright position facing his mentor. Gauging the blade warily in case she felt the need for follow up swings. Draven had a feeling she suspected he'd be able to dodge.. though would of found it equally amusing had he failed to. Still he knew he had a lot of work to do in regards to his speed and strength training. Especially, to even just attempt to close the gap with his new master.

Saki looked at the blade with the practice swing and she nodded. "Worth it... now lets see what we will be able to do." She took it and held it at her side while walking and motioning for Draven to follow her. The massive blade protruding down the hallway as she was taking back to the room she had been in. She put the blade in the corner with her repulsor case... the other weapons within it as she had it set up and spoke. "Lets see we have this now... there is not much else I need so we will focus on what you need." SHe looked at the padawan and equipment would be important. "We'll get you some robes and one of the survival kits.. should let you have the needed things to start and then we'll push a few more things into it for you."

Saki Saki

Draven was keeping up while watching the blade as they went through the hall. Still a bit uncertain about the weapon. When they arrived at the room and she placed it down. Draven was doing his best to assess if that should concern him, or place him at ease. Though as she began to discuss the near future plans beyond strength and speed training. Such as getting him more appropriate robing and a survival kit. Draven had to admit that did sound promising. Most of the time Draven either had what the temple provided. Otherwise, he was just going with whatever he could dig up wherever he landed at. Having supplies and a proper set of attire for any giving situation would be a nice change of pace.

Saki looked at many of the things around them and a smirk appeared on her face. She went rummaging around for it. ONe of the Cracken Survival Kit that she could use when she was outside of the temple and training. Tossing him the pack and going over what they might have. "Lets see here." She said it and got the Padawan Training Outfit for Draven finally while digging a few things out. "Alright this isn't perfect but it is designed for padawans like you to be protected so go and get changed." She said it and tossed him the training gi and boots with some other parts. Her excitement there as now they would get to go back to doing what was important.. running really fast through a forest with sharp branches that could impale them and being chased possibly by dangerous predators.

Draven was initially excited up until he saw the boots. His eyes narrowed at the cursed thing called footwear. Too long had Draven spent honing his skills to temper terrain and the climate without footwear. That he wasn't too thrilled the prospect all his efforts were about to be in vain just because of some training attire. Heck he even had managed to become so skilled at sustaining himself in harsh climates without footwear. He managed to eventually survive on Weik during it's winter months without the use of footwear.

After a minute Draven let out a resigned sigh however. The boots probably had a purpose. He was willing to cast aside the distaste of things covering his feet. At least for the foreseeable future. In order to better himself. Who knows maybe someday he'd accomplish something meaningful. Assuming he survived his new Master's training regiment.

Draven got changed and then began to rummage through the training pack. Getting familiar with the extensive multitude of items. Heck.. Draven was pretty certain compared to what he had been accustomed to using. He could topple an entire empire with what the pack had in store.. Not that his goal was to topple any empire. At least yet.

Draven had noticed upon placing on the robes. His mind seemed to reach a level of serenity and clarity. Which he had not been privileged to in quite a long while. Encouraging him for what was to come. He would be wary not to rely too heavily on the robes' properties. Though it was a refreshing experience.

Saki looked at him as he was getting dressed and she stood there stretching. "Alright, now that you are dressed, test it out.. the robes are made to focus your mind and body. It will help for what we are going to be doing." She said it with a grin on her face while moving and she went for her robed armor. "This is mine though the Titan Class Breaker Armor." SHe said it sliding into it and the jet black armor gleamed with the force and power as it was meant to be heavy when she lifted parts of it sliding them on. One of the gloves smashing into the floor after she dropped it and leaving an impact crater. The jedi master moved in it and turned testing it out.... "Several hundred kilos of pure metal and strength... for some of the more dangerous things we have been having to face like these neutralizers." She said it and they were looking into the droids but they were tough.. this armor was tougher and made to push the matukai to the limits in terms of what she can do. "So how much canyou normally run?"

Draven headed test it out and nodded his head. He was intending to as it really had a certain charm to it. Though Draven wanted to wait until he was out in the open for the tests he was thinking. It was a bit of an adjustment though what he was used to. His focus went to her while he assessed the armor she was discussing as well as listened to her explanation of how it was designed to counter a kind of droid. Which by Draven's expression was one he never had the inconvenience of encountering. Which was probably for the best until he was able to reign in his skills.

Draven then did his best to calculate how far he could run. "A good distance." He finally expressed and shrugged. "I was expected to do a lot of running on a planet I once was stranded upon. Due to their lack of transportation methods, and a debt I was paying off. Though that was at a more leisurely pace.. and before I was caught in a weird state of stasis." Draven admitted. He hadn't actually calculated the full length of what he was capable of running. "Training and sparring are also some of my coping mechanisms.. when I am not studying the environment around me through the force."

"Ah good, then ten kilometers should be easy for you and setting a pace is important. You haven't learned how to channel the force into your body yet." He likely knew how to refresh hiks body with the force... matukai's channeled it and turned it into different things.. from bneing almost immune to poisons and their skin becoming like steel... to in some masters near infinite stamina. Saki started to move and grabbed her saber sliding it on her hip with the armor but she was moving so that the padawan could join her and she went ouside. "Alright... we'll start through the woods and move towards the cliffs... from there we'll scale them down and get into the gorge and forest before circling back around and using the foot paths to get back up here."

Saki Saki

Draven nodded his head in agreement to both the fact 10 KM and the fact he wasn't specifically trained to channel the force directly into his body. Whatever feats he had learned was a mixture of luck, need, and self discipline into training. As well as a lot of his enhancements fell more towards the letting his body be channeled through the force instead of vice versa.

Draven listened with intent upon the course she was considering. This sounded both potentially dangerous, and in a thrilling kind of manner like a fun plan. Draven clipped his lightsaber to the provided belt and then placed his survival kit onto his back. Doing some brisk form of stretches before following her outside to where she intended to start them off running.

Saki looked at him while she was standing there with a look on her face... well at least he seemed ready and up to it which served to endear him some more... The jedi master bounced up and down in the armor as it left impact craters on the ground. She motioned and started taking off towards the woods that she had been in earlier. The other jedi watching as she went past them and a few feeling the tremors ass she ran in what amounted to power armor like it was her padawans training gi. "Come on then." She said it and planned for him to be able to protesst a little but this was going to be an important event to build up his endurance and strength. "We can do this daily... to help warm up... then saber training and that will be the start of the morning routine."

Saki Saki

Draven was if anything a bit in awe at the craters being placed into the ground. From the impacts of her running. He had a curiosity to if some day he'd be able to accomplish making that sort of weight look like nothing more than a daily jug of water being transported. One of those time will tell questions sometimes life made you ponder.

Draven looked towards Saki as she addressed him. "I understand." He responded as he began to pick up the pace a little. Draven knew he needed to push himself just enough to begin improvement while remaining in the limits which would prevent long lasting Ill effects. Something which the force would also aid in negating. Though until he had a better grasp of channeling the force into his body like his mentor. He didn't want to play a completely randomized game of test your luck. Especially not on his first day.

Well that was helpful and she set off bounding at a decent pace but not flat out jogging nor sprinting... relaxed and quick with the few things in the way making space so she could plow through the trees and underbrush that was in some areas. Not breaking her sstride. "Then keep up." She was saying it and moved weaving between some of the larger trees and allowing herself to keep the longer stride. Where she was going for now though she left a trail for Draven to follow when she was going deeper into the woods allowing the armor to function and smash onto a rock where she jumped up to kick off of a tree that was falling over.

Draven was now a bit more understanding why the outfit consisted of boots. His master was tearing up the terrain like it was her duty to re-shape the land. If Draven had to rely on the force to protect his hide he wouldn't of had the stamina to try and keep pace as she instructed him to do. While it was somehow both a more straightforward and hazardous path. Draven found no major tribulation until his Master crushed up a boulder to jump a falling tree.

Draven made work leaping off the pieces. Before going into a dive roll over the once standing tree. Managing to barely clear the danger. Though admittedly struggling upon the regaining of his balance upon hitting the ground and rolling. Draven refused to give up however so he increased his pace to make up lost distance. Which he knew would pay him back later in his stamina.

Saki could sense him somewhat.. the armor wasn't built with massive internal sensors and systems... it pushed her body to the limit while she was moving forward... faster and faster through the forest. She lept again rolling as she landed and using it to pounce up and over a creek to land on the other side. Draven was mostly keeping up she could feel and looking back she could even somewhat see he was but there was still al,lot going on around them. THe further from the temple the more wild the terrain would become... whcih was a benefit to her and the armor to test it out. The physical endurance and strength she was using to test it... perfect as she felt some tremor in her muscles and strain... it was exhilarating. "Come on." She said it as the creek wrapped around and joined parts of the river going down towards the cliffs.

Draven continued to traverse her path forged for him to follow. The faster his newfound master moved. The more effort Draven had to put forth not to lose her. Draven found that they had begun to follow the stream up to the cliffs. Despite the physical taxation Draven experienced he focused on the flow of the stream. Closing his eyes as he felt his crystal tugging at his conscious from the lightsaber attached to his belt. If Draven wasn't focused upon keeping pace. He might of found his mind slipping into a meditative state.

As it was he noticed a point in the stream. Where he reached out with the force and caused a mist of water to spray up and move towards the area he ran through. It was nothing more than a cooling refresher to counter the heat. Though it was soon dried off by him before it could become too humid and began to be detrimental.

The run up to the edge was the last leg of the beginning and Saki made it not stopping as she had run this path different times... leaping as the force went to her muscles and legs... the platform forming from earth shaping before she launched up and over digging a fist into the rocks and gouging its surface to slid down towards the area below. Gravity and her own armor doing the work for her while she maintained pace running and pushing along the wall to get down quickly and safely. Saki landed and spared a glance upwards towards the cliffs motioning as she took off running again to make sure he was following her.

Draven watched how his Master approached the cliff and quickly descended it. He knew he'd need to be hasty though didn't wish to be reckless. As getting himself killed at this moment would be highly inconvenient. If not a bit amusing for the irony of circumstances. Draven came to the cliff edge and looked around flung a log over onto the trail Saki had forged down. Before flinging some small boulders down ahead of him. Before leaping.

Draven began to leap between the boulders he had launched as if utilizing them as some form of descending stair steps. Eventually landing himself on the log about halfway down the trail. While he concentrated on his balance. His focus was more intense than it had been. He timed this wrong and many different things could go wrong. Especially like the approaching ridge Draven hadn't exactly accounted for.. well it was a cliff after all.

Draven leaped as the log just about hit. Shooting himself towards a nearby group of trees. Where he began to leap between the branches. An argument could of been made he could of tried free falling. However, Draven felt it would be a cheap way to work on conditioning training. So, he had made his own unique style of acrobatic descending. To keep the spirit of focusing on speed and endurance. While also splashing in some balance and coordination practice.

She listened to the sounds around and the boy was throwing rocks and logs... impressive which would help as he was coming down and she internally laughed at that... allowing herself to move further and further down river jumping off of different rocks to weave across the river sections and get around faster. Avoiding falling in the water itself. She was checking over it and jumped across towards a trail that took her out further down the cliffs and mountain. Allowing her to land on a rock that started sliding down creating a deep gouge in the dirt. She left space for him to catch up and follow her easily enough.
