The Shadow Of An Assassin (Sith Assassins Versus Jedi Shadows)

Objectives: Protect the Data
Location: In Front of the Data
Allies: Sith @Sitara Qin / [member="Cale Gunderson"]
Enemies: People going for the Data

Iziz had been watching the corridor like a hawk, his eyes burning brightly, as soon as the woman came around the corner, Iziz wanted to ensure she had nowhere to run, as soon as her eyes raised to inspect the three of them the hot smoke from the nearby room fire billowing out of control in some form clouding the vision of their lenses only aiding the jawa as he had been sitting, lower than the chest high hanging cloud...But Iziz no longer had the option to hold onto the lightning bolt any further. Without warning, no more than a second the woman had come round the corner with her augmented speed, Iziz fired the bolt of lightning, which, in true fashion to his own personal use of the techniques, did not fray or fork like other lightnings, instead, it stayed as a single powerful pale blue bolt of lightning which ripped through the air, consolidating its power into one strand rather than many, making it hard and powerful enough to create its own crack of thunder. Travelling at break-neck speeds, it was as close to a natural bolt of lightning as one could imagine through the use of force lightning, save for its unnatural flight path, which lead the coiling tendril of Dark-side generated electricity square toward the chest of [member="Taeli Raaf"] ... The power of the bolt would be something to behold, the connective force of the bolt alone was enough to throw a target back hard enough to break bones as it smashed its target against the wall behind her as if she were just hit by a minivan. The electrical aspect left nothing to be desired either...

The Jawa after the bolt left both of his palms let out a shrill cry of pain as the burns the lightning left on his hands were severe, causing the acolyte to cringe, though, he imagined, even with his own base knowledge of the technique, even armoured masters... hell, a Bull terentatek would not take zero damage from that attack. Iziz was unable to see the results of his success or his failure in the mean time, his hands sizzled with light third degree burns... biting his tongue through the agony he would begin to rise, moving his hands to the cold steel of the light-sabers which were once on his lap. Breathing heavily as the focus and power which had been granted to him through his channeling had been exhausted with the harrowing blast.

Coming to his feet, Iziz extended his two blades, leaving his staff on his back, the brilliant crimson beams and the cool heat of the steel made his hands feel a little better, but, this fight was going to be a test of his endurance and his own tolerance to pain. Slowly stepping up to the knight, who was likely of them to be the one who would best be able to combat the woman, Iziz would back him up, and throw in attacks of opportunity to attempt to throw their opponent off guard, simply with the sheer number of blades Iziz had at his disposal, he would prove a menace, and this woman had no idea of the full capabilities of the tail which was still hidden under Iziz's robes.

Only now, that he was standing to the flank of his ally, did Iziz look to see the devastation caused by the lightning bolt. With some hope, he recovered some of his stamina.

this... was going to be a long day...

From being short-circuited, the drives had already erupted in a flame, causing the metal parts to fry. It was no use trying to recover data from parts that were already corrupted. The platter had been attacked, the drives were unreadable and the parts of the drives itself were heavily damaged. The best part about electronics were the toxic chemicals they emitted once set aflame, so the longer the group lingered in the room, the more dangerous it was for them. Even if, somehow, they managed to salvage the parts, even if they bothered to come back here and recollect the fried disks, they’d probably recover extremely corrupted unreadable parts. Even the best slicer in the world would have to piece things together, even so, he’d probably only be guessing at whatever the contents were.

Already, she could start smelling the smoke travelling from the fire she started in her room. Though the hideout was built of stone, the furniture she contained definitely wasn’t. Adding to the small flame behind her, this was going to be a death oven if people didn’t get out soon.

As the pair of jedi made their way into the room, immediately her two companions went to attack the dark haired woman. That left her with the non-human person. Both of the two seemed very skilled in the force, and Sitara was gonna have to be careful otherwise she could be badly injured. While her two companions focused on the dark haired woman, Sitara hurled a fury of flames towards the male, in an attempt to burn him.

Or at least, set his clothes on fire.

K'sara, having completed what she had come to do, was finally fed up with the environment and made her way to her master with a single holocron in hand. It was a holocron of her telling everything that she had read in the library. Once she had made it to Ferus, she handed it to him and made her way to the edge of his quarters, and washed her memory of the information. "I cannot stay.... I do not belong among this band of killers. Farewell master... you always had a special place in my heart... and one that will never be, for I will never allow it. Tonight, I take my own path." When she finished, she made her way out, and to the hangar bay, and detached any tracking device that was placed on her ship. In the next few moments, K'sara was nothing but a memory, now out of the carnage.

"I take my own path."

A frown settled upon the lips of the Zabrak as he heard @K'sara Korr speak. He made no move to stop her, no attempt to make her stay. Those who did not wish to, would not be made to do so. He would walk past her to his main objective, keeping both hands down by his side as he did so. Sitara had made the job fairly easy with her tactics, but now they were about to deal with the Masters.

Masters that Ferus couldn't let his apprentices mess with on their own. He would step out behind them, a frown on his face as he would look to the two masters. "You know, if you said something sooner we may have made you dinner."

Masters Kian and Raaf, the sister of his former Master, had instructed them to distract the Sith and do some damage. The thought of doing wanton violence did not normally sit well with the Valkyri Jedi, despite the predilections of some of his race. This time, however, there was no dichotomy to Dair's thoughts. This was the main base for a group of Sith with the express purpose of killing innocent people and infiltrating the Republic, with the ultimate goal of killing every Jedi and helping their One Sith master in subjugating the galaxy. As Dair had attempted to do at Telti, he would do his best to stop these people.

Dair continued to keep his signature dampened and moved quietly down a hall towards an intersection. He heard the sounds of battle coming from the way that the Master's had gone, but they were both capable and could contact him and others if they needed help. Dair also heard the soft pushes of buttons, and slowly crept to the intersection and peeked around the corner. There was a man, shorter than Dair, who was setting up something that looked an awful lot like explosive charges in the hallway.

Intending to interrupt the preparations, Dair let his signature not only show, but flare up like a wintry beacon of light as he stepped out from the adjoining hallway and ignited his lightsaber. The icy blue glow filled the chamber and resonated with the force signature of the Valkyri Knight.

"Lo, there do I see mayhem in the making." Dair said as he pointed the end of his saber at Xander, Dair was still more than two meters away and standing in a defensive posture. His deep voice reverberated quite nicely off of the walls and down each of the four branching hallways. "Stand and fight, Assassin, or cower and run. Either way, you will not win this day."

Catching up to her father in good time, she noticed the strangers before him. They weren't invited guests, it seemed; they were the Jedi.
"Aha! Can't escape now!"
Her pale lips curled into a wide grin, as the chaingun slung on her back spun infront of her and into her hands.
Her aim was in their general direction, as it was not the most accurate of weapons. She had little training in the force, and none with lightsabers.
No, they would not help her now. There was only one option.
"Can I kill 'em Daddy?"
Her eyes narrowed at the Jedi, never moving from any of them, her fingers on the trigger.
Please, please, please...
I want to kill them...

Objective: Watch the Fun-... Wait a minute...
Location: Yellow Serpent Casino, Nar Shaddaa

Killian watched the screen with much delight, the situation was escalating to what looked like would be a decent fight. He recognized the Assassins of course, mostly so Ferus, but the Jedi he had no idea about. As curious as he was, he began searching through the Assassin's records on a side screen, reading profiles on whoever he could. To be frank, they were boring on both sides. Some of the Jedi didn't even have recognizable faces to cross reference with the database, and so they were boring to him by default.

However, there was one face that became rather intriguing. Her face matched that of a Sith, yet she wielded a purple blade and seemed to be standing against the Assassins. Suddenly Killian was leaning towards his screen, frowning at his program for glitching out on him. That was until he saw the name; 'Darth Arcanix', one of the Assassin's own Quartermasters. It was then he knew it was no glitch...

"Well... We found our traitor..." He smirked and muttered to himself, recording the footage through his live feed as the confrontation continued. Sliding his datapad infront of him, he then accessed the Holonet Bounty Board. His fingers danced across the pad, typing the secure message he needed to send out there. The details he knew were filled out quickly, but one question bugged him.
Dead, Alive, or Both?
He pondered on the thought for a moment, before finally coming to his conclusion.
Preferred Alive for questioning.

Xander kept setting charges as he folllowed the group. Sitara was biterly complaining about how her night had been fraked up, and he didn't blame her. He had been looking forward to it as well. There was really only one thing to do though, and that was blow the place sky high. Too bad the Jedi were coming after them. The sense Xander got was they were master's strong, and then there was the betrayer. The woman needed to die. If Xander could simply get close, push his way into her heart, he could stop it with a thought. Too bad a mental battle was not what he needed right now.

Fire flew about as Xander tapped into the elements. Sitara had an excellent idea in trying to burn them. Force attacks could be countered yes, but fire would only add to what was already there. Still, they had to keep moving, so Xander cut out along the hidden passages which led to his manor.

"Sitara do you remember the passage ways I showed you?"

She would naturally, and know that it was the best way out as soon as her objectives were done. Xander had his own, and he had to keep moving to set the charges.

"We don't require much.", a deep and confident voice proclaimed for all within the room to hear as the tower of a Jedi stepped out from the shadows behind Kian Karr and Taeli Raaf. As he did, he revealed blonde hair and blue eyes, which like his force signature, had been veiled with the tricks he'd learned over the years as an active Jedi Shadow and Warrior of the Jedi Order. "Just some snacks, really.", Varus said as he continued walking until he was between the female Jedi and the Kel Dor who'd been his Master once upon a time.

"We didn't give you much notice, and so we can't expect a feast, but snacks on the other hand...", he said, allowing a confident smirk to find the corner of his mouth.

RyanGosling-Dance.gif

"I could use a snack.", he said, that smirk growing into a smile. "Oh! And perhaps something to quench our thirsts if that's not too much to ask? I know that at least I am a bit parched from the trip.", he asked, his blue eyes guided to who was clearly the leader while he wondered if Taeli or Kian would be too upset with him.

He was never very good at following orders...

Objective: Defeat the Assassins
Location: Corridor leading to the Information Center
Allies: [member="Taeli Raaf"] - [member="Varus Shatterstar"]
Enemies: [member="Cale Gunderson"] - [member="Darth Ferus"] - [member="Iziz Vei"] - [member="Sitara Qin"] - [member="Asajj"] - [member="Xander Blackmoore"]

There was a lot of action all at once. The corridor to the Information Center seemed to be a hot spot of enemy activity and Kian realized that in coming here in stealth, with only Taeli was likely a mistake. But that was very often the nature of missions such as this.....the best laid plans of mynocks and men and all that. As Taeli and Kian approached, one of the Sith let loose a massive bolt of lightning. It wasn't the typical blast that one would expect from a Sith and was a single, thick beam. Kian extended his arm and shoved Taeli to the side before throwing himself to the side of the corridor as well and thudding hard into the wall as the energy blasted past them and into the wall, causing a showering of smoke and sparks to further fill the already darkening corridor.

Straightening himself Kian ignited his silver lightsaber blade and stepped forward alongside Taeli. "Potatoes.....definitely potatoes." Kian said smiling beneath his mask as more Sith began to flood into the corridor. They were going to need backup....and he certainly hoped the others didn't find themselves in a position similar to this. No sooner had these words left Kian's mouth that another of the Sith ([member="Cale Gunderson"]) was striking at Taeli and another, the one who had thrown the powerful lightning, was joining him to attack the Jedi Master. Kian extended his taloned hand and sent a blast of telekinetic energy at the lightning thrower ([member="Iziz Vei"]) in the hopes of throwing him back and giving Taeli time to deal with only one opponent.

The force screamed to Kian as he saw the approach of a female Sith, her arms extended a flames pouring toward him. Kian pulled his cloak off of his shoulders and threw the garment into the flames to batter the first few away and then extended his hands, one clutching his lightsaber, and threw up a quick barrier. The flames collided with the shielding technique and while it protected Kian from the blast, he could feel the heat building on the other side. Kian clasped his hands together and began to close the shield around the flames, cutting off the oxygen supply and extinguishing them.

Kian would have countered immediately, as was his philosophy of fighting, but was interrupted by the arrival of [member="Darth Ferus"]. Kian straightened up, placing his saber in front of him in the classical Jedi Ready stance and eyed the man silently. Kian and Ferus had met last on Empress Teta and Kian had barely escaped with his life. "We may have made you dinner." The Sith said and Kian's eyes narrowed. It was a quality of the Sith that had to be admired....their love of snappy lines and witty remarks.

Then [member="Varus Shatterstar"] walked up behind Taeli and Kian and he smiled behind his mask realizing that it wasn't a trait of only the Sith. Kian was about to interject with a droll remark of his own, when the girl ran up behind Ferus and began to speak. Daddy? That was something that drew Kian's attention and his eyes fell on the girl for a moment before glancing back to the Sith.

"You all talk too much." Kian finally said and thrust his hand forward. Kian had a finite list of abilities he used, preferring to keep things simple, but one such ability, in a corridor such as this facing a number of opponents may just be useful. From Kian's hand a brilliant flash of light would appear, similar in quality to a flash bang but lacking the concussive nature. Kian hoped that it would blind, or at least distract enough of the Sith before them for the three Jedi to seize the momentum. Kian rushed forward, his blade driving forward [member="Darth Ferus"] in a thrust for the ribs.

Just a thought, as this is a corridor (if I'm not mistaken) we are all in close proximity and in a real fight would be exchanging blows with each opponent. If everyone would like to, we can try to make this a more chaotic type of fight in which we are all defending and attacking perhaps multiple opponents at once. I just attacked Ferus but that doesn't mean another can't attack me next and so forth and so forth. We needn't get bogged down in the pairing up if we don't want to.

:)

"All of you are to pull back now. I'll handle these three. Asajj, stay close. And no shooting." His eyes went down to his daughter, where they would linger for a moment. For once, the Zabrak had no intention on fighting. Their objectives were finished, and now it was a matter of simple evacuation. But, as it seemed to be a first as well, the Jedi would strike first. Light.

A hollow scream would fill the room as the Red Assassin stumbled back. His eyes were burning, his head throbbing. Both of his hands would grip the sides of his skull as he continued to scream, and a torrent of purple flame would wash around his form. Kian may remember it from their past duel, a flame that burned everything around him without any discrimination.

Including his daughter. Now golden eyes narrowed as he pushed this flame back down, determined not to harm his daughter, and in the process he left himself open to the Kel Dor's thrust. A twist of his body would prevent a fatal injury, but from this overwhelming pain in his head he could completely evade. A new burn would form on his side as he stumbled back, practically growling now.

"Everyone is to leave now, or I blow everyone here to bits. The explosives are set, and I have a droid standing by to set them off. Master Kaar, I would suggest pulling back now."

His head continued to throb, but he still spoke. This was not the time for a true battle with the Shadows.

The small Jedi party moved their way through the tunnels. Soon they were within the facility. She had absolutely no idea that they had been discovered, and would not have known, had it not been for the more experienced Masters making her aware of it. It was show time.

Zylah was part of the team that would serve as the distraction, while Kian and Taeli moved towards the objective. She had been prepared to follow the lead of Corvus Raaf or Varus Shatterstar, but Varus was suddenly nowhere to be seen. Where had he run off to? Perhaps, for once, she'd take lead? They appeared to be splitting off anyway, with Varus gone and Dair heading off into an intersection.

The Padawan darted off as well, until her path crossed with similarly pale one, though significantly less... hairy. She stopped, looking directly at the Sith, who undoubtedly had noticed her as well. Zylah waved her hands slowly and theatrically. "This is not the Jedi you're looking for..." she wasn't actually trying to perform any mind tricks, she was simply teasing. "You want to go home, and kill yourself" Zylah flashed her a smirk, before she darted off again, running down the halls. She wasn't exactly promoting suicide, it was but a joke. But, if she actually were to go home, and somehow slip in the shower and land on her neck, it wouldn't exactly be the worst thing to happen that day.

Would Saiah give chase? Or would she allow the Jedi to roam freely in their halls? Maybe she'd come upon Saiah's own quarters. Maybe she'd even read her diary. Did she really want to risk that?

Objective: Protect the guys/girls of the assassins
Location: Patrolling the corridors
Allies: Those Sith guys
Enemies: The other guys

In one way, he was lucky. He hadn't come across any of the attackers yet, but that came at a price. Jardo was becoming edgy, bored. All he'd actually done was got the first batch of guys out then went back to the corridors trying to find some of the Jedi. It was times like this he was happy that he'd spent so much time working on his stealth.

Eventually he saw it. Crawling to the end of the corridor he saw the fight. The biggest fight in here anyway, and he had to try and hide the laugh. Ferus was ordering everyone out, but they wouldn't make it out if someone didn't hold back the Sith. He thought back to Krayt, the way he was willing to risk his life to make sure everyone else completed the tasks. He was just a pawn in a large game wasn't he, a pawn in a game out of everyone's control.

Though, if his plan worked he wouldn't actually have to risk his life. If all went well the bombs would blow and he'd be far enough away. The only people that would be blown were those Jedi. Well, to be honest it was worth the try. It was worth trying anything to keep the friends alive.

Yeah, friends. He'd grown to call all of these friends, it was sort of amazing. He never knew he'd be able to make friends with these people, but he had. [member="Xander Blackmoore"] and [member="Sitara Qin"]. The two he was willing to class as friends, and he always helped his friends, no matter what.

Iziz tried to move, he really did, but the telikinetic blast caught Iziz and threw him backwards, not far from the feet of Darth Ferus as he made his entrance, not quite knocking the wind from the Jawa but feeling his bones bow and threaten to harm his soft organs within them... this was not the first time he had taken a blow like that, but shaking his head he tried to rise, struggling to find the strength. It was then that there was a mighty flash of light, caught by the brim of Iziz's hat as he then heard the screams coming from the corridor, they were not of anyone normally there, it was FERUS' voice crying out over the chaos, the one voice the Jawa had least expected to hear echoing through the halls of their own base, though, Iziz knew now that the Zebrak was prone to this kind of assault. Looking up only after the dazzling life was gone, he knew he needed to get in there to save his master, he could see the Jedi, Silver blade in hand charging toward his master... Looking to his own two blades he pooled on the force in his body, flowing it through him to enhance his movement, and give him the raw speed he needed to intercept the attack... Though it was only while charging towards the attack that Iziz truly noticed the colour of the blade, the silver hue, its bright colour, it was just like the vision he had, had not moments before! Saiah would no doubt see the similarity of the silver blade that he had described, and perhaps even she would know... but, the sight of the blade drew Iziz to only a single conclusion...

my hands are burned, I cannot block his strike with my sabers!

"MASTER!"

Iziz would call out as the Jawa would slide in front of the oncoming opponent, he could almost feel the natural pull of his body wanting to draw the lightsabers from his belt, spin and attempt to deflect the blow to a side, but, such a thing, with Iziz's hands burned beyond practical use, and his bones weakened by the telekinetic strike, it was no wonder that in his vision, his wrists broke and he took the blow for his master. Instead, as [member="Kian Karr"] approached, Iziz in secret under her cloak would unfurl his tail and as Kian would come within range, Iziz would, with a single standing backflip, whip the tail out from underneath him in a parrying strike to knock Kians' blade up, to protects his stunned master from the assault, and allow him the room to speak what he had to say.

Demanding them all to retreat, Iziz looked to him, to Saiah, to the other man whom had joined them in their fight, however, the Jawa, loyal as he was, he knew that Ferus was faster than him at the moment, he would likely catch up with Iziz running even if he started now, and if Iziz tried to run with him, he would likely get left behind in the explosion... So, hesitantly, still with his own force speed active, the Jawa looked back to the others and nodded, passing on his own agreement with Ferus, and saying in turn that they should retreat and get to the ships ASAP, if the explosion was anything to be worried about, it was going to consume the entire base. Jumping before kicking off, Iziz ran at full speed away from the conflict, past everyone and moving as fast as he could to the ships belonging to the assassins...

Less than a minute would pass which would lead Iziz to his destination, not helping in any fight other than ordering a simple retreat call to all those he passed in what little common he knew. Boarding a ship, Iziz would be out of there in a flash, letting whatever assassins which would have time to board his ship on. Though as soon as flight preparation was ready, the Jawa was off, flying for no rendevouz point... he would head to another planet first... likely change his ship and then slowly make his way around the long-way to throw off any hope of pursuit.

[attempt exit]

The last charge was set, and just as Saiah turned around, she saw something rather unexpected. She narrowed her eyes as she looked at the pale Padawan. They were indeed similar, Zylah looked somewhat like an untattooed Rattataki with a wig. It was quite absurd in Saiah's eyes. Were they not under attack, she might have burst out laughing. Especially when Zylah did the first handwave. However, the second and third did not sit so well with her. She couldn't really go home, this was her home and now it was about to be a pile of rubble.

As Zylah ran away, Saiah sneered and ran after her. She had always been fast, and with her training in the Force she had enhanced her speed further. One could argue it was one of her signature techniques. She had even been able to compete with the Jawa. Her scarlet blade trailed by her side, throwing sparks as it hit various surfaces. Unlike Zylah, Saiah knew these halls. She could find shortcuts, dead ends and use the contents of every room.

Saiah took the bait, she gave chase. No diaries would be read this day!

[member="Zylah Dvale"]

Pale girl #1 didn't have to chase Pale girl #2 very long. It wasn't Zylah's plan to run away from her, but to rather goad her into a location of her choosing. Not that there were many options... But at least she wasn't walking into any traps. After Saiah crossed a corner, she'd find Zylah standing there, waiting for her, in the middle of the hall. Zylah didn't really seem to be afraid. Had she been afraid to enter into a den of Sith, she really should've said no when Kian asked.

"Ah." she said simply, feigning surprise to see Saiah follow in after her. "I suppose I must work on that Mind Trick thing" She flashed her another smirk, repeating the one from before. A slender hand grasped for the lightsaber at her hip. She gave it a quick twirl, before igniting it. The smirk quickly vanished, and was replaced with genuine surprise. What the kark... Pink. Her lightsaber was pink. "You have got to be kidding me" the Padawan said in disbelief, giving it a few short waves. Zylah was of course very aware of the less than amused Rattataki. She was only pretending to ignore her, which sent a sort of message on its own. Though the colour of the saber had really caught her off guard. She really ought to make her own one of these days...

[member=Saiah]

Upon seeing Zylah halted, Saiah slowed down to a slow walk and then stopped when they stood approximately twice the length of a sabre apart. She stood in front of her pale opponent and pointed her sabre down diagonally to the right. She stared at the Padawan while she did her antics, and when the pink blade emerged Saiah chuckled a little.

"Pink suits you dear. but perhaps red would suit you better."

As she spoke, she raised her sabre in the Makashi opening salute, both to present the scarlet blade and to initiate the duel. She knew it was easy to spot her as a Makashi user, from the way she walked, held her sabre, or just as a simple guess. Of course, Saiah would leave no time for guessing as she lunged at Zylah and brought her sabre up in a quick rising cut. It was not a large sweeping motion, but stemmed from several joints moving together to make the tip cut upwards. The combined power of stepping in and multiple joints moving in tandem meant she did not have to make much effort to give the cut power. It would slither in rather than power through. Being a Makashi practitioner, she was rather fleet of foot and had good control of her lunge.
