Faction Idea: The Rebel Alliance
Description:
The Rebel Alliance is a coalition of freedom fighters, dissidents, and ordinary citizens united against the growing tyranny that has spread across the galaxy in the wake of the Galactic Alliance's collapse and the disappearance of organizations such as the Hidden Path. Dedicated to restoring liberty, justice, and self-determination to the people of the galaxy, the Alliance wages a relentless struggle against oppression on every front. Guided by Rebel High Command, a council composed of leaders from the Army, Navy, Starfighter Corps, and Civilian Corps, the movement combines military action, intelligence gathering, humanitarian aid, and grassroots resistance to reignite hope in a galaxy that desperately needs it.



OOC Discussion:
The board could stand to have another good-guy faction. A rebel concept seems popular and I think it would be fun. I would personally love to see this faction appear but I have the shelf life of a banana when it comes to faction leadership. Is there anybody interested in taking the reins on this? You would probably have a fair few people interested if the Rebel Fleet thread is any indication. I'd be happy to share resources and make art etc. I just know I am not the type of person to lead this but I'd love to play and support it if we have any volunteers to pull the trigger...

We also have a quickly growing new imperial faction that I think could provide some fun antagonist.

I'd love to ressurrect that faction if possible, but I understand the moment has sorta passed on that.

In theory.

The people who put out that LFG seem to be ignorant of whatever I had going on, so I guess they have their own shtick going.

I'm happy to get the WSR going again.

The Rebel Fleet seemed interesting to peeps so I just thought we had a group interested.... but if we already have a rebel faction and its not gaining traction I may have totally misread the room x.x

I could be interested in joining (not leading) but in my mind a Rebel Alliance is like 95% NFU membership and I don't see that happening.

I doubt we could just kick people out if they were FU, especially since right now the biggest factions to rebel against are Sith.

Oh yeah I was just spitballing / musing the challenges of said rebellion. Logically it would make sense to just focus on the WSR and build upon that as others had stated.

Yea I did not realize we had a rebel faction because just a few weeks ago someone posted a rebel LFG and nobody told them to just use WSR. I assumed that meant WSR wasn’t around anymore.

If peeps wanna go there and do some rebel stuff sounds good for me.

Don't feel too bad. I didn't know about them either. There's just so many factions on the board that it's difficult to keep track when you're not involved with them in any way. They come and go. I just look at the map from time to time to see who's still around, who's not and what new ones are out there when I try to find a neutral space to work with.

I’m sure feeling bad was the goal but I don’t. WSR is five pages back in the faction list right by very inactive factions like THP. It’s hard to tell how far back our active vs inactive ones go. No worries though. If WSR is around then I think it’s fine to just use what already is up and running, especially coz I do not want to staff anything. I just want to play and have fun right now ^___^

One doesn't need a faction in order to write and have fun It's thankfully not a requirement, ha ha!
