The Point Of No Return

If the Taung saw tears again, she would take the Padawan’s head. Warrior never cried, they just fought and pushed on with no thought for their own pain. This one was volatile, and when the stakes were high it was questionable if she would be able to actually stand her ground.

Connor nodded a robotic gesture to keep her sweet.

”I do care for you. More than the Silver Jedi ever do. I have hurt you, but to make you stronger, to build your resilience and your defence. No m – “

He stopped as a faint roar could be heard up above from behind. Turning his body, he looked up to the dark sky and watched.

There.

A sliver of light moved towards them, overhead, like a shooting star. Only this would be a Silver Jedi. Coci Sinopi; it had to be. So predictable. The Taung snarled hungrily for battle.

”Ib'tuur jatne tuur ash'ad kyr'amur,” Connor rasped. He turned to Nima.

The end was near for the Jedi. Both of them.

”She is here. Come, we must move fast. This is it.”

Connor set his sights on the observation tower and walked with a quick pace, firm and heavy footing over the loose rock and stones on the path up the orange cliff. He felt Nima behind him, and that was enough to know she was up for this.

Up he went, his breath thinning as he reached the large doors, still open.

”Watch your back, Nima Tann. If anything should happen to me here you MUST not surrender to them. FIGHT for what you believe in.”

He slid inside the door and felt how cool it was now from outside climate. The hall was dark and chilly, but it didn’t bother the Taung. She was close to reclaiming her hammer that had been returned to the control room, and close to having Nima Tann taken over by another conjoined spirit.

As they continued to move towards the tower, she felt like they were being watched, so she quickened her steps and held her hands around her lightsaber, in case something went wrong. The tower was at the top of the cliff, and they were a little far from it, so they had to be quick. While she was thinking about the last events, she heard Knight Harrison's voice, again giving her the strength to continue. But this time, he couldn't finish her words. As she feared, they saw the silver ship coming towards them, and it was fast.

She looked at the Knight, he said something but she didn't understand. But seeing how angry he was, she understood that it was not probably about sunshine and rainbows. Then, he spoke again but this time, she totally understood. They needed to go, fast. She started to follow him, all the way to the tower up the cliff. Things were about to go badly, and with the wounds she had, she didn't know how useful she could be, but as he said, she would never give up. She decided to fight with all her power, and she would not stop until she died.

They finally reached to the tower's big doors, and the ship wasn't visible anymore. So the ship must have been landed and they would be right behind them. So Knight Harrison slowly opened the door, and they both entered. The inside was colder than outside, as she felt shaky suddenly and it was dark and creepy, the walls were all scratched and pictures were like watching them. She could see the steam coming from her mouth as she continued breathing. "So your hammer is here, right? Let's take it and get out of this creepy place." she said, looking to the walls. "Then maybe we can hunt ourselves some Silver Jedi." she smiled.

The sound of their boots echoed along the hall as the moved forward and came to the bottom of the wide staircase leading up to the observation platform and main controls of the tower. Deceptively small on the inside, a great deal of the tower was above them; durasteel towers, frames, electrical wires and batteries. Beacons, satellite dishes and sensors all fed information to the control room and collected data from the stars above.

Connor turned to Nima Tann, noting the resolve and fire in her eyes once more which made the Taung proud.

”The hammer helps unlock the secrets of the Ancient Jedi Order and the Force itself when you wield it. There is no Taung spirit. That is a dangerous lie invented by Iella E’ron and Matsu Ike. The hammers were forged by Jedi Masters eons ago as a source of knowledge, power and strength that fused all aspects of the Force into one body. When we find it, you take it. Hold it and embody the knowledge of both Light and Dark to make you unstoppable, like me.”

He lost himself in the lie he was spinning, feeling each word and making it clear and precise with his deep, ice blue eyes to penetrate into Nima’s fragile mind as he looked down at her standing by him.

”Nima Tann. I hope you understand why I have been harsh and fierce with you. The hammers are being taken by the Silver Jedi to hide the truth about what the real Force should be used for, not their distorted vision. We are on the brink of a new era of Force domination – one planet at a time. The hammer I stored here is key to that, and I want you with me to the very end. Take the hammer. Embrace the spirit within. Join us. I have seen the secrets within, and that is why E'ron has sent her assassin, Coci Sinopi, to kill me; to stop me from doing what is right. She is not to be trusted. She is far more dangerous than you know.”

Connor reached out and squeezed her shoulder gently. The poison flowed from him like water from a spring.

”Only I care for you, Nima Tann. Only I understand you. Only I want what you are destined to become. Not a Padawan, or a Knight restrained by rules. No, but rather - ”

He looked away at the looming stairs.

”- an unstoppable, deadly and powerful warrior.”

They continued to walk through the creepy corridors, and they finally arrived to a big, wide staircase that goes somewhere, not creepier than that, she hoped. Being around here was making Nima nervous, because the darkness and the voices coming from outside were very disturbing, and it was cold, colder than the air of the moon. What was this place, and why was it like that? The first one to go upstairs was Knight Harrison, she followed him slowly. Then, they finally arrived to the top. What a big staircase, she thought as she was breathing quickly. It was some kind of control center, she could see all kinds of electronics, metals, holorecorders... It could be a headquarters for them. Amazement could be read from her eyes, she continued to move slowly, to the center of the room.

"I understand you. You were just showing me mercy is a weakness. And I learned that lesson pretty well. Don't worry about me." she smiled evilly, she wasn't scared of herself anymore, she was enjoying it... Wanting more... She was turning into one that she swore to destroy once but she didn't care anymore. "I... I would like to possess that power gladly, Knight Harrison. We... 'I' need that power to help you fight the assassins. But first... we need to find that hammer. " Then, she slowly touched to his hand on her shoulder, with an evil, cold smile. "Besides... I am the only one that can save you when you are down now. And I need power to do that." she said, with a low voice, almost like a whisper. Then she held his hand and slowly pushed it away from her shoulder, letting go of his hand. She took two steps, looking at her surroundings carefully. "This place seems pretty secure... Look at all that stuff." Darkness... Power...What have you become...

Watching the corrupt Padawan Nima Tann take pleasure in seeing the potential of what power could grant her, the Taung inside Connor was seeking the spirit of the hammer…but it didn’t seem to shine as brightly as it should.

Letting her talk about power, might and domination was fine, and he didn’t take notice of her removing his hand.

Something was wrong.

Leaving her side, Connor moved to the edge of the room, by the large glass windows that looked down upon the moon and out towards the planet. Eyes darting around the consoles and holo-maps, he walked along the panel from right to left, scanning for something.

”It’s not here,” he mumbled to himself.

There was no energy from the hammer, and he had left it right in the centre of the panels, to fuel and feed the tower for when he returned.

The Taung was getting edgy, and her patience was fading fast. Where was the hammer?!

Connor looked visibly irritated and slightly worried, his body moving around, eyes looking for his prize.

”It’s not here!” Connor shouted louder.

He turned to Nima Tann, eyes burning with ice.

”The hammer ISN’T HERE!!”

Inside, his chest was bursting with anger and frustration; this was NOT part of the plan, and Nima Tann needed contact with the hammer to complete her downfall.

"Yes I see it", she said. "They are moving fast.. we must go now". Over her shoulders Coci placed her grey cloak and secured it around her neck. This is no killing mission, but one to retrieve Nima and Connor. A rescue mission. She looked over at the hidden locker where her White Mouse is location, you are not needed today my friend.

The only weapon she held on her today would be her lightsaber. Coci has no intentions of fight them in combat, only if extremely necessary will she ignite the purple blade. A plan had formed in her mind, but she would keep it to herself of the most part, as she knew Thurion would not allow her to go through with it. But she needed him now, "Thurion I need you to save the Nima, I sense she has began a fall to the dark side, but it is not strong enough to take her completely, I sense much anger and confusion and as you know that is not enough to descent to darkness entirely". No, it took much more then, it took far more then confusion and anger.

"I shall go find Connor". she simply added as she walked out of the ship. Their location some distance from the observation tower and they would use BARC ground speeders for transport.

Master of Her Own Destiny
As she continued to look at her surroundings, she saw Knight Harrison, angrily trying to find his hammer. The hammer had a great power trapped inside, and the one that had the hammer would possess that great power, as the Knight said. The thought of that much power was making Nima hungry. But maybe she wasn't doing the right thing by wanting that hammer, seeing Knight Harrison's unpredictable actions sometimes. But she needed every power she could get to help him so she decided not to think negative. She was just a Padawan, and their enemies were two powerful masters, there was no way for them to defeat them that easily. It was for the best, to save the galaxy. In her opinion, they were more Jedi than the Order itself. She looked at the man, now he had a big, dark aura and his anger was growing.

She heard his shout then suddenly turned to him, trying to calm him down. It was too dangerous for them to lose themselves, others could hear them and their mission could get into danger. He turned to her, his eyes were burning with such anger and it was the same anger when he was being hold captive in Voss. She felt fear, thinking he would hurt her again. "Knight Harrison! Stop shouting, they will hear us. Calm down." she whispered, fear and anger could be read from her eyes. She looked at his eyes, trying to calm him down. But she was sure it wouldn't work. "Are you sure you put it here? I can't sense its aura." Then she remembered the hammer which was at Master Sinopi's hands, she could feel the darkness of it, like it's power was still trapped in... nearby. "Maybe... maybe they already got it."

He was stalking the room like a hulking monster, rubbing his temples and trying to find something that he KNEW wasn’t there. The fact it had been discovered enraged the Taung, and it meant the Silver Jedi had been back here. Them, or the Rangers.

And at the wrong time, Nima Tann showed her peaceful attitude in trying to calm him. Sliding over the top of a console as he walked towards her, letting nothing slow him down, he was upon her faster than she may have expected.

”What?”

Now the Taung was seeing nothing but red.

”Do NOT tell me to calm down! Do you not see what has happened?!”

Pushing past her, he effortlessly y picked up a large backed chair in front of the console with the Force and sent it flying into one of the 4 large glass windows at the head of the room. With an almighty bang, a large spider-web crack appeared, but the glass stayed intact.

”Let them hear me, I am not scared, unlike YOU it seems. The Silver Jedi have been here. They have - ”

Stopping in his tracks, he thought for a moment, hearing what the Padawan said.

”Yes. Of course,” he said quietly.

He turned to her.

”They HAVE been here. The hammer in the holding cell. Coci Sinopi.”

Beside him, his fist clenched and he gritted his teeth, wanting to chew through the skin and bone of his shell.

”Nima Tann, if you continuously look for quiet, and peaceful resolutions to situations such as this then you are no good to me. There IS no peace until our enemies are cold corpses beneath our boots, and you NEED TO REMEMBER THAT!” Connor roared the last part, seething with frustration.

He darted right towards the cracked glass and placed his hand on the splinters, a distorted view of the moon before him via the cracks and broken shards. Glass pierced his hand, but feeling no pain, it was nothing to the Taung.

Connor’s eyes closed and he reached out with the Force.

I do hope you have said your goodbyes to your loved ones, and to Nima Tann, because soon you will be dead, Coci Sinopi, and I will maim your body with my bare hands. Coci Sinopi. And if you try to stop me, Nima Tann’s blood will be on your guilty hands. You’ve passed the point of no return. I hope you are ready.”

Like a hungry tuk’ata, his eyes slowly opened and burned with determination.

”Nima Tann, prepare yourself. Death approaches.”

The Taung just refrained from saying it would be hers.

As she felt his anger grow up, and saw him coming towards to her with such anger quickly, she backed down two steps. His eyes were burning with anger, she couldn't even look at them, she didn't want him to hurt her again. She didn't want to lose her trust, or else she would lose her mind, everything was complicated already. But... this time she didn't want to just stay there. She was tired of being scolded like that, everytime. This time... She slowly moved towards him, she felt the anger inside of her was growing as she continued moving. What she was doing right now, was maybe foolish. But she needed to show him she is not easy to shout like that.

"I know... I know Knight Harrison. I understand that being angry helps your power... but senselessly breaking everything and being angry like that will NOT help to complete our mission." She wanted to stop, she really did, but something... something was causing her to continue. "I am not scared to fight them... I am 'worried' ABOUT YOU! I will help you to defeat them, and I am your ONLY FRIEND! Don't lose me too..." Don't make me regret.... She threatened the Knight, her last sentence being lower than the others. She took a deep breath, turning her back to him, she moved towards the center. She never did something like that before, it was the first time. And she liked it, not being scared for everything and just do what her heart says once. Hearing his voice again, she sighed and said with a cold tone. "I am with you... and I am ready."

It was amusing for the warrior to hear such resilience in a young Jedi, especially one standing on the edge of apocalypse. Turning off to her wailing, Connor pushed his hand on the glass, splinters embedding in his hand, seeping blood that was fresher than the dry wound on his head from her attack a while ago.

All the Taung could do now was to wait for the prey to come to her and to unleash hell.

Pushing away from the window, looking at his hand ad casually picking the splinters of glass form the flesh, he heard her determined voice yet again.

”One day you will learn why anger is important to fuel your actions. It is not pleasant for the weak to see, but for the ones who control it, it’s their greatest ally.”

He continued walked to her and stood looked down on her, and for the first time took in her features. Soft crimson skin, black patterned lekku, cool blue eyes and dark inviting lips. The Taung new naught about love, nor cared about it, but knew about seduction of an enemy; lure them in, gain their trust, lower their defences and then kill.

Words had been said, violence used, next came actions.

Cupping her chin with his bloodied hand, he lifted her head, taking in her strong features, and leant forward to place his lips on hers. He kissed her for what felt like minutes, but lasted seconds, and then came away, savouring the taste of Jedi flesh and taking in her scent.

The senses prickled over the Taung, and thus onto Connor.

”I care for you, Nima Tann.”

Lure. Trust. Defence. Kill.

She watched him to cut his hand with the broken glass, opening a big, scary wound on his hand, blood coming from it. She was again ignored by the Knight, and she sighed, thinking that it was a bad idea to open her heart to him like that. Then he spoke again, confidence and coldness would be read from her voice, and he started to move towards her, slowly. The thoughts started to fly in her head again. He will hurt you... Don't trust... Run... As he stopped just in front of her, she kept her head down, feeling fear about what would happen. Her body just stopped moving, like a corpse, she stood there, waiting for his move. She felt the warmth of his hand on her chin, slowly lifting her head. Her scared blue eyes met his. What was happening... Would he hurt her again... What...

Her thoughts have stopped suddenly, as she felt his lips meeting hers. She felt like the time have stopped, she felt empty... She felt confused... She felt happy... It was like she was feeling all the emotions right there. She closed her eyes, her cheeks were burning with embarassment. The kiss lasted for seconds, but it was like minutes for her. Then... after his lips left hers, she was just shocked, staying still, her cheeks were redder than her skin. She held her lips slowly, confused. She couldn't think clearly, all she felt now was absolute trust towards him. Then, she heard his sincere words, confusing her more. "I... umm... what?..." She couldn't speak, words were flying in her head, but she wasn't thinking clearly to speak them. "I... care..." Come on Nima, she thought. Just say it. No... "Let's... umm... let's just... I'm sorry." she sighed, it was the only thing that she could only say. What was he trying to do, she didn't understand.

The Taung wanted to rip her head right off and just chew on her muscle, drink her blood and savour the meat of a dead Jedi, one of many. But not. Not yet. Nima Tann was needed.

Connor smiled at her bubbly confusion, an attractive fluster to her young face. Her crimson skin hid the blushing following the kiss, but her wandering eyes showed enough exposure to manipulate. He traced his hand down her arm and laced his fingers through hers; small, soft and dainty in his strong, firm hand.

"This bond should not be broken, and the Silver Jedi will try to stop us. We can't let them. Not now. Come."

He smiled to himself as he turned away and guided her to the front of the whirring monitors and holo-projections of the space around the moon. Taking her to one of the glass windows, one not cracked, he stood beside her.

"See that planet, Shri-tal? One of many the Silver Jedi conquered. More have fallen under their rule. It's our job to find the hammers and liberate them. It's ours for the taking. You and I. And those who follow us. We are unstoppable."

Ever so gently, he squeezed her hand.

She was still shocked after her first kiss, she wanted to run away from there, never look back and never come back, just run... But she couldn't. It was like her body stopped moving, she couldn't even move a finger. She wasn't expecting such a sincere action from him, considering his angry nature. But it happened so fast and she felt like she really liked it, that was embarassing even more. Then while thinking, she felt his hands on her hands, dragging her to one of the glasses still wasn't broken. "Bond?" she asked, confusion and embarassment could be read from her eyes.

"You... really care for me?" She asked with a sincere tone, looking at his eyes, trying not to leave any uncertainties. She touched to his chest slowly, she could feel her body was burning with embarassment, and fear. "If you can say yes, with all your heart... Then I am ready to fight for you... until the end. Nothing... nothing will stop me, except death." she said, with a shaky voice. She wanted to believe him, she wanted to open her heart to him. But she thought... What if it was another test? What if he was lying? She had to be sure. She started to wait for his response, looking directly at his blue, cold eyes with confidence.

The Taung puffed out in pride, at the conquest of the mortal before it – it had been easier than expected and proved how weak they all were. Maybe the hammer was not all that was needed to break the ones who depended so much on faith and promise.

You are MINE, Jedi!

Connor didn’t smile in false sentiment, but he nodded gently and was very serious in his cold, dark tone of voice that may have been deemed as a threat, but to one wanting the right words, would be priceless.

”I will love you, Nima Tann, love and protect you until they stop my heart beating.”

Gripping her fingers, he pulled her gently in and kissed her once more on the lips, harder and with passion.

As he did, Connor’s eyes opened and stared out over the moon, looking and waiting for any sign of the Silver Jedi.

Nima responded in kind, and it repulsed the Taung, but the charade of luring in the prey was too important. Connor kissed harder, almost with an animalistic urge, dangerously close to literally devouring her. His hands on her body managed to convey want and passion.

Restraining from taking her life, Connor scanned the moon as he embraced her.

You have lost this one, Coci Sinopi.

As she heard his determined, sincere tone, she was now sure. There was no way he could lie about such things, and his tone was real enough for her to trust. No more thinking... No more suspecting... Peace. All she felt was peace, and she was happy being here with him. She smiled, and with all the sincerety and happiness, she whispered slowly. "I... I love you too. I trust you... with all my heart." There is no emotion, there is peace... even the Code was a lie, she felt angry to herself because of being so blind about the Order, yet thankful to the Knight because of showing her. As their lips met again, she joined him this time. The voices of kissing was making the silence of the empty tower enjoyable. Such passion, such strength... She was enjoying it, loving it, wanting it more. After all this time they brainwashed her about emotions are weakness, she felt like she was this alive years later.

As he continued to kiss her, she closed her eyes and just wanted it to last forever. Then, opening her eyes again she looked at his eyes. So strong, yet so emotional. And he was good at keeping it a secret. She was good at reading people and this time, as his mind was weak at the moment, she could read him too. She could see passion, strength, anger and fear at the same time. As their lips left each other, she sighed happily. "I feel so strong... so alive... I don't know how to explain it... Is that what it feels like... to love?" She asked, confused. Then she slowly looked to her surroundings, everything was okay for now, and there was no trace of Silver Jedi, but they had to be careful. But... she didn't want to think about bad things now, she just wanted to wait, and stay together.

The embrace finished, and Connor turned to the window quickly, feigning embarrassment. In reality, the Taung was sick to the gut of how close she had been to a mortal, and a Jedi. But her words struck the truth that she was now in the palm of her hand ready to be used as a weapon.

”Love is a powerful emotion and the face that the Jedi deny any emotion is a way to deny you the pleasure in living. I told you, they are Masters who want to control you for their own gain. No more.”

Continuing to hold her hand, Connor felt rooted to the floor as she spoke. The Taung had no idea what love felt like.

”Yes, Nima Tann. Love feel like this. And this is upsetting to me, because Coci Sinopi and the Silver Jedi will do what they can to split us up, to break us and to take me away. And that it something…I cannot let them do. I can’t let them take you from me.”

Not for her gain, but for the Taung. Without Nima, he was out matched with no ally. Even Shalla Horizonis was too far to aid in the battle. Nima was the only one he had, and whatever she needed to hear, the Taung would say.

Thurion nodded at her words; she would find and neutralize Connor while he would bring back Nima unharmed. Hopefully she would come to her senses before things had to turn violent. If they did, the Taung spirit would most likely be using her as a shield or hostage to save itself. Nothing would act more desperate than a caged beast, and it was caged in Connor.

Adjusting his armor plates one last time before stepping outside the shuttle, he reached for his lightsaber from across the ship to guide it to his hand via telekinesis and clipped it to his utility belt. They both hopped on their respective speeders and blasted off towards the tower where Connor and Nima had gone, no doubt hoping to locate the hammer there. He could sense his disappointment from here.

Once they'd arrived he and Coci entered the building, soon finding the staircase leading upwards. "Be careful", he told her.

"I understand." she said, with a confident voice. "I will not let them take you... I will fight them... for you." She was scared before, scared of being alone, scared of dying. But now, she was ready. Ready for all the obstacles that are between them and their mission. Silver Jedi was weak, they didn't know how to use their own gifts, seeing them as curses. Why... she thought. Why do Jedi ignore such power, if it means to be used for good? Were they scared of that power, or were they scared of the effect of that power? It was a mystery to her, that she could never solve. Then, with a sudden voice she looked at the door, the thoughts were flying in her head again.

"I think I heard a voice." she take a few steps towards the door. The voices were like footsteps, and there were many, so she slowly closed the door behind her and whispered. "The masters... They are here... What's the plan?" she asked, holding her hand near to her lightsaber. Things were about the get badly, and they needed a good plan to defeat them both. They were about to fight with the masters of the Order, and they were not equal in strength and knowledge. As she was waiting his answer, she looked for things to help them fight, like distractions. Yeah... distractions... That would help. "Look I know you don't like being stealthy, and I know you'll think that I am scared again. They don't know where we are. And we can use it as an advantage." Then she held his hand, looking at his eyes. "Be careful." she said, she was worried about him, because knowing his warrior nature, he could get in danger quickly.

Connor's head snapped around from the window as Nima acted on an amplification of not just one, but two Force signatures.

He didn't shout, roar, run or hide; the Taung stood her ground before the window.

"Thurion Heavensheild. And where one fool goes, another always follows. She was not alone."

Nima busied herself as young fools would; panicking, fretting and worrying. So pathetic.

Yes, a conflict would be inevitable, but the Taung was ready to use and abuse the bodies and power of the Jedi she had in her grasp - one physically, one emotionally. The damage had to be as great as she could muster if this was to be her final stand against the Silver Jedi, but she would not submit easily.

Nima hurried over, the youthful eagerness evident in the stance she gave, hand on hilt and other on his. Connor didn't react or look at her. There was no time for games.

"NO." His response was sharp and blunt.

"They are Siler Jedi and Masters of the Force. Think, Nima Tann. They already know we are here just as we know they are. Use your emotion of hatred to them and what threat they present to battle the fear inside. There is no good in hiding, or running."

He looked up to the door leading to the stairwell and focused.

"Let them come. I WANT them to come."

"Thurion you will need to get the Padawan away from him, he has a hold over her. I can sense it. He is trying to invade my mind. But I have much skill in blocking my mind". she said as they walked up the stair case. "But the essence of what he is saying is clear enough. Be prepared to defend yourself, they want death".

She would need all her skills this time, Coci had not shroud her force presence just yet, she wanted him to know she was here. As they approached the top platform, she could sense Connor and Nima, the darkness surrounded them both, but Nima's came from within not as a direct result of the Taung. In a way that was more concerning them Connor, at least Coci knew what she was up against with him.

With her lightsaber in hand but not ignited, she entered the room. "And we have arrived", she said in a cold tone, the force already summon to her and ready for anything he could throw at her.
