  • Founder: Olinar Arion
  • Membership: Certain barriers are needed to be overcome before one can be integrated into the Fayth as a Priest. Literacy is among the barest of the requirements needed, with the expectation that a would-be member of the clergy memorize several of the stanza's recorded within the Arion Ferella. With the most learned members of Islimorian society coming from families of nobility, it is not uncommon that those seeking to join the priesthood come from backgrounds of greater wealth and means. Illegitimacy bars ordainment, preventing those born outside their parents sacred oaths of holding the position of sacred office.
  • Sacred:
  • Dogma:
    • Practitioners who follow the ideals of the Fayth follow the tenets within the Arion Ferella and worship seven major gods and countless lesser. The seven major gods represent different aspects of life and morality while in the constant throes of conflict. According to the Arion Ferella, the Gods were once a being called the 'Great Spirit' who brought the Galaxy out of Chaos before dividing itself into several different gods and choosing to allot its powers into equal harmonic parts; the only notable exception being the Father and Mother, who were given more power out of the necessity to protect the Galaxy from the touch of the Shadows domain, aka: The Netherworld.
The Seven Gods of The Arion Ferella

    The Father
Represents Justice, Truth, and Authority. The Father serves as ruler of the gods, and is said to be the one who dispenses true justice in life. Each circumstance is simply an extension of his authority and ruling for sins committed and should be welcomed as his divine will.

    The Mother
Represents Compassion, Passion, and Abundance. Where The Father seeks to make right judgments, The Mother embodies compassion and mercy. Those who do not get what they deserve, praise The Mother for turning away the wrath and justice of The Father. She also gives birth to a person's passions and promotes pursuing them no matter the cost.

    The Daughter
Embodies Love, Innocence, and Beauty. Untouched and unknowing of physical intimacy, her love is an innocent love, the kind that makes lovers last a lifetime. Those who are blessed with beauty have been touched by her. She is often depicted by an innocent child.

    The Lightbearer
Wisdom, Intellect, and Intuition are the gifts of The Lightbearer, son of the Father. His aim is not only to see that his father's will is carried out, but that it is tempered by wisdom. The wisest of men and women learn from the sayings of The Son, his teachings being both practical and philosophical in nature. He embodies the practice of wisdom and academics and is often portrayed by an owl. He and the Shadow are in constant conflict with one another.

    The Shadow
Represents all things dark in the world. Death, Loss, and Destruction are her realm. Few pay tribute to her, but as a seductress she has trapped the hearts of those in possession of a weaker will and distorted them into lesser beasts that no longer resemble the image of humanity. She commands an army of the dead, and they do her bidding. As the younger, jealous sister of the Father, she covets those who follow him, seeking to obtain as many as she can before they cross into the afterlife. She thrives off the destructive nature of mankind. The more war and death, the more powerful she is. The only one who can temper her is the Lightbearer.

    The Builder:
Ambition wealth and success are the traits of the builder. Every great society is full of those whose ambition has led the way in some great part. There are those who worship the builder by doing good, and those who worship by doing wicked. The builder has no sense of morality, any kind of ambition comes from him. His image is a man wearing a golden leafed crown.

    The Warrior:
The Warrior represents War, Safety, and Security. His symbol is the spear and shield. His worship takes form in many ways, games of war are his way. His worshipers see him as a grand General that is ready to defeat and defend their kingdoms and livelihood. His temples are the grand arenas of each kingdom where the games are fought.

It's unknown when the Order of The Fayth appeared in Islimorian culture, but is thought to have been introduced through the beliefs of a Chandaari Princess some centuries after the conquest of William Blackmoore.

For hundreds of years it has been the decisive spiritual religion, managing to erase many of the vestiges and symbolisms of the old Lupo religion that used to dominate the landscape through grassroot campaigns that set out to exterminate all traces of paganism. In truth, many of the Fayth's ideas have simply bastardized Lupo religious beliefs and practices in order to more easily merge with society and gain a foothold with rebranded gods, celebrations, and even rites.

It is polythestic in nature with many myths and tales, placing emphasis on the order of good versus evil and the checks and balances of nature that keeps the universe in order.
