”As soon as there is life, there is danger.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
In the open-air Dojo, a lone figure was working on some brand new Training droids. These puppies were state of the art as they moved, and reacted much like sentients. While whoever designed them was amazing with how these droids moved, they were clearly just droids, and nothing more than useful to simulate real body movement and reactions, perfect for a training class and perfect for what he was going to do with them. He was asked by the local tourism board to teach this class of Teras Kasi to those who wanted it. There was to be no real danger, so it was not meant to be anything serious. Normally this would drive the big man nuts, but the planet he was on did not allow for that. Of course, he'd used droids before, and training dummies and really everything he could to really get a good class going, but finally the favor he called in yielded positive results. With a head kick here, a stomach punch there, the reaction of the droid in front of him and no doubt the others by proxy was so realistic, not to mention when he practiced on the techniques that the art centered around. This was going to be enjoyable. This wouldn't be a physically intense class, but it would be what it was, something that if they kept an open mind would save their lives one day. As the massive wanderer made sure that the droids were in place, and he had a couple extra in case one broke down or there were too many students, Caltin just prepped himself for the students that would be coming in. The beverage cart, the bokkens, everything.

These things are cool!

He had just finished up some work on the planet and heard of the dojo not expecting any figures there he figured he could gleam some info from it maybe something useful for teaching future students. Assuming any met his standards which where high and considering the galaxy currently that wasn't a very promising as the ancient pureblood didn't let just anyone be his student.

He listened a people where excited a jedi master was here hmm it complicated things but he didn't hide his strong darkside aura as he walked towards the dojo he overheard some officials talking about the class and the potential harm he smiled. That was the least of their worries but he remained civil at the moment. As he walked into the dojo he took a moment to watch the large jedi as he whent through the motions of teras kasi "your form is off jedi by the slightest degree but exceptionally skilled fighters like us notice these things in fighting" he said as his menacing stance race and aura made it obvious as to what he was although the stance was a traditional one for him.

If taunting is a habit, then ignoring a taunt is a talent. - Sabiha Khan

He may not have the same connection as he used to, maybe a little stronger, not weaker, just different, but he could still sense the Sith from a sector away. He(or she) was not making any attempt to hide either so either the individual was young and looking to prove themselves, or they were an old soul and just did not care to hide. The question is “what brought him there?” Vanagor was not the way he used to be, he was not going to just charge off and attack, that would be folly. So he stayed where he was and went through his motions.

When the warrior made his presence official, he was not wrong. Vanagor’s stance was a bit off, but that was partially due to not running through a kata in almost nine hundred years. No sense in bringing that up.

Thank you for the observation. It is not an advanced class, so I do not believe that those gathered will think less of me for it.

He smiled at his response as it was meant to be funny, and not a taunt, he also made no moves. His weapons were within reach and he was fast enough to move on the S… Pure Blooded Sith... wow haven’t seen one of those in a while. The thing is the people needed to be safe. So it was a matter of getting them out without giving up anything.

Here for a class? Or for other reasons?

Why not be civil?

As he watched him train waiting for his response and thought of the martial art and how it came to essentially be. And how it evolved and changed over the millennia as everything does even the pureblood that stood infront of caltin.

He looked over the droids as he walked up to one of them and looked it over more closely " I see then but even if they don't think less of you now they might later unless you plan on giving them future lessons to become proficient or master it if their training fails" he said as he stood there then looked back to caltin.

"I came to this planet to aquire some merchandise originally" he said and stood in front of caltin. "As one of the original creators of that fighting style let me see how it its changed and how you need to improve" he said and took a Teras kasi stance if caltin agreed.

Engage the brain before you engage the weapon. - General James Mattis

So, if what this Sith said is true, he was the master of Teräs Käsi or “Steel hand”. For one, the Sith before him would have to be thousands of years old. The big man would blow off the comment if he himself was not (technically) nine hundred himself. Another thing is that he would have to have been where it was created. One of the requisites to learning the form from Master Koon was that you learn the history, so he would have to have been in or around the Pacanth Reach. Enough of the internal questioning, if the man wanted a demonstration, he would get one.

The thing is though, there were too many innocents around for this to be as simple as Vanagor seemed to want it to be.

Are you going to take off your jacket? Your tie? Your weapons? It's fine if you do not plan to, I will have to make some adjustments to the class though.

The big man’s demeanor and tone clearly showed that he was not concerned either way. He was too busy dropping into the Förräderi.

@Turranis vulcun

Easily reading that caltins mind was else were by the look on his face and in his aura standing out of Förräderi he looked at caltin. Looking around "hmm perhaps another day it seems you are worried about those around us as a jedi should be" he said. Honestly hands behind his back he noticed a few students start to show they looked a little startled to see him.

"How about a little ancient history lesson of the form history I assume most have forgotten or excluded to teach?" He offered not being a savage the students perked up as turranis looked at caltin "unless you want to give the students a hands on demonstration of the original form or both" he said part of him still wanted to see how the form changed as he took off his coat and tie folding them neatly and setting them on a chair using the force.

“The ego taunts truth with sarcasm.” - TF Hodge

I know that look. Quite possibly Caltin was wrong about this Sith. He might be of the old guard, those true blood that only cared about “honor” and “integrity”. That of course did not mean that this was not some kind of taunt against him, it could very well be. However there seemed to be some level of authenticity to his tone, this may be a fight that he indeed wanted, but the Dark Sider could very well simply want to see a demonstration. As his opponent was disrobing (to an extent), Caltin took the opportunity to speak up.

Alright. I’ll begin. Teräs Käsi was created on the planet Bunduki, a planet in the Outer Rim territories. It was developed mainly to fight with Jedi; those responsible created it purely to keep what happened to them from happening to anyone else. Now, the name “Teräs Käsi” literally translates into “Steel Hand”, and made use of them with moves such as its namesake “Steel hands”.

Demonstrating with some shadowboxing, he continued.

As well as the Gundark slap, or the Striking Sarlacc.

Again with the demonstration, he shadowed with the slap, but the Sarlacc, he turned to face the Sith, keeping his hands mere inches away from his face. Not to be a threat, but to demonstrate to his students, as well as prove that he knows what he is doing.

Would you have anything to add?

He purposely left out the rest that he knew. How it was developed mainly by a race called Epicanthix, and the secretive Followers of Palawa. His reason was two-fold, to allow the Sith to speak as well, it was only polite and fair, but to see if he would bring up who created it and see if he really knew his history.

@Turranis vulcun

As he stood there Taking off his coat and tie he listened to caltin give his lesson it all was all correct so far. He was leaving a chunk of history out though and turranis wanted to rectify it.

" teras kasi was made to fight jedi after the jedi devastated a planet in a war by the epicanthix but caltin is right with the moves when you master this your hands will be like steel thus its translated name" he said as he stood there unafraid as caltins fists where inches from his face.

Turranis did a kick in the form he made sure caltin could see it coming though then followed it up with a few sudden but easily dodge "another fact for the class is that if paired with the force ability shatterpoint you can shatter almost anything with your barehands" he said.

“You have power over your mind-not outside events. Realize this and you will find strength.” - Marcus Aurelius

Alright, so he might not be lying. Truth is, he did not really care if the Sith was telling the truth about his own history or not. It was respectable that he knew the one tidbit that the big man had let out. It was also something that he did not respond with any anger to Caltin’s demonstration of a few techniques but responded in kind with his own. Caltin smirked to the class after the fellow mentioned shatterpoint.

You’ll need to learn the Force before you even try that.

That brought a chuckle from several in the group which was his intention, and not to show this Sith up.

Not everyone can master this form of self … you know it really is not “self-defense” as it is more “offensive” than anything. Anyway, that is a debate for another time. If you do put in the time and the effort and reach the level of “Mastery”, you will be able to protect yourself in almost any situation. Even to the point of this.

Leaping into a sideways flip, the big man’s feet hit a training droid not once, not twice, but three times before his hands bashed into the torso bringing the mass of metal to the ground.

That is called the Spitting Rawl. That is considered the most powerful in the arsenal of techniques belonging to this form. Alright, pair up, one of you will attack with one punch and one kick, the other will defend.

He demonstrated the punch and the kick twice each. Then looked at the Sith.

Will you be joining us further?

Maybe this guy was not going to be so bad after all? Heh, yeah right.

He got the humor of it and wasn't angered by it at all he knew laughter was important for teaching non sith and some sith too in his experience. He was merely making a point "he makes an excellent point but be aware something you all may know just because you learn this doesn't make you better then anyone else" he said stopping for a moment.

Letting it sink it for a second "it's how you use this that matters most" he said sternly but fairly. Towards the students as caltin gave his speech and demonstration and and watching the students quickly pair up he looked at caltin. "If you're worried about me going on a murder spree or trying to corrupt the innocent don't be not all darksiders care for senseless violence and death or power for its own sake" looking at the students examining their technique and form.

"And am I welcomed to stay or is it gonna cause problems I wish no bloodshed jedi" he said truthfully but if it was what the jedi wanted then turranis would oblige.
