History
The Maw Consortium was originally a small ten ship raiding group based out of the outdated Maw Installation formed several decades back. Their leader Void destroyed all information pertaining to his past once they had started to grow, secluding himself in the installation and communicating with the outside world via hologram. None the less the Consortium grew and began to rapidly do so when their tactics switched from plain Piracy to a much broader field of crime. First, Rackteering and Black Markets became popular, taking profits from the sales made in both areas, then as their numbers grew they began to partake in intimidation tactics and extortion. The Consortium then spent the next few decades increasing its wealth and steadily building up its coffers and fleet, finding a old, out dated, and poorly retained Lucrehulk-class Battleship. With this find they spent the money needed to rebuild it and allow for it to become a mobile base which is used much like a space station is, only this space station can use hyperspeed and change systems at will. The ship soon became the command and control center of the Consortium, guarded at all times by either the majority of the fleet. Or when it is sent on diplomatic mission, a fraction of the fleet, though enough to defend it from attacks, is sent to guard it. Dubbed the Galaxy's Shadow, it serves as the constant reminder of the hard work put into expanding and funding the consortium, and perhaps at one time, it can serve as the Consortium's flagship in conquests and heavy fleet operations.
(This will be updated as IC RPs happen, something i have not seen happen much in these.)
Goals
  • Elimination of Slavery from the public markets of the galaxy.
  • Spread the influence of the Consortium to be able to truly stop slaving operations and governments once and for all.
  • Create and control trade routes through intimidation, purchase, or construction of ports.
  • Set up Black markets in opposing and allied factions, allowing for leaks in technology and maximum profit.
  • Set up Racketeering and extortion operations that allow for more credits to flow to the Consortium.
  • Rebuild and Retrofit the Maw Instillation into a fully functioning military and control base.
  • Bring set up contracts with commercial companies around the galaxy, allowing for another form of credit flow to reach the Consortium.\

Joining the Consortium forces
This is simple, join the faction and if you want post a profile in the Charprofile tab...

(Forgot the Rank system when i posted this, opps.)
Dominus Scelesto:
The head of the Maw Consortium, this individual has the complete command over the consortium much like a dictator or king would. Orders made by him are too be followed and the only ones with the power to question such orders and provide consul or alternatives are the Classis Admiraldis in the Consortium. The Dominus also has complete control over alliances and buisness transactions made by the Consortium and is present at the deals nine times out of ten, though he leaves the setup and running of the deals to the Classis Admiraldis.
Classis Admiraldis:
This rank is given to the admirals and generals of the Maw Consortium. They handle both the military operations that require a strategist or tactical strikes, or any large battles that involve the Consortium fleet(s) or ground force(s). They also run the financial and public relations of the Consortium, while being watched during said financial and public deals by the Dominus. Furthermore they have the highest say in the Consortium and command the highest respect. Their orders can only be questioned by others of their same rank and the Dominus, the latter of which can veto said actions and deliver consequences for such.
Iussi et Dixisse:
Those of this rank run small fleet operations, establish criminal enterprises, provide escort missions for those who pay, and oversee spec ops missions carried out by Equites Umbra. In other words they are the officers of the Consortium and command the respect given to someone of equal rank in other forces such as a captain. The are also highly trained infiltrators and strategist, but have not reach the rank of say a Classis Admiraldis. They oversee the construction of ports, setup of black markets, partake in intimidation and assassinations, and have full command over the Equites Umbra. The only ones with the authority to question their actions and reprimand them are the Classis Admiraldis and the Dominus.
Equites Umbra:
These are the Spec ops troops and body guards of the Classis Admiraldis. They are the ones intrusted with Assassinations, Black ops, and terror operations such as kidnappings, bombings, and intimidation tactics. Their training and conduct are oversaw by the Iussi and they answer directly to the Dominus but maintain loyalties to the chosen Iussi they are put under during missions or the Admiraldis they are assigned to protect. When used the Equites are to be feared by those they are sent at.
Imago Aspergillo/Inanis Accipitres:
These are the bulk of the Consortium's troops and pilots. They are basically the smugglers, troops, fighter pilots, engineers, and other miscellaneous groups that make up the Consortium's bulk.

As a minor faction I believe that you aren't allowed any ships over 1,000 meters and any of your ships over 400 meters must be PC captained (Have one on the bridge though they can leave).
The Escort Carrier, Broadside Cruiser, and Dreadnaught Cruiser are all over 400M and the Interdictor-Class Star Destroyer and Recusant light destroyer are each over 1,000M in length, though they are all very nice ships. That's also a huge navy to be stationed out of a single base with little natural resources. If you're that set on an interdictor though, I'd recommend the 418.

And just a friendly heads-up, anti-slavery actions and your other activities are putting you in direct conflict with the Black Suns. Also your second goal is currently written to say you want to stop all governments, not just ones supporting slavery. Give up the anti-slavery stuff and I don't see why we couldn't be the bestest of friends though ^.^

@[member='Domino'], Thats the Interdictor i am using, just lose the name often. As for the Recusants they are in the same condition as my C&C Ships that's a Lucrehulk. Under-gunned and in need of repairs(Alot of em if ever used for combat). As for my other ships that are over four hundred meters. The simple explanation for that is those are captained when i get people. Its just showing whats bought and or found already.

As for the low resources part, im working on that, and most of the ships are all A: all out dated and 800 year old designs. and B: Not as heavily crewed or gunned as their fully gunned counterparts would be.

As for the government things, i mean slavery supporting governments. And no, not giving up the anti-slavery part. Thats my selling point.

Over the years i've done a lot of characters. But there is one I never, ever got to write :/ most boards were already full up on him, or the others just wanted him dead :)

However I would very much like to write out a staunch old imperial who captains a big ship. Now as the old empire doesn't exist anymore, the muse would want to find someone who was carrying out its old ideals, and it sounds like you are fitting quite close to the mark, especially with Sith influence :D I would play out an old imperial academy and bingo we'd go from there.

Thoughts?

This character would be limited to 1 thread a time but he could, very eagerly captain a ship :D

There would of course be bigotry inside the man, racial tension all that kind of thing, though chiss he'd respect ;), just like old ideals.

Uh, for a second there i didnt understand what you were asking, are you asking to make a char for this to captain one of my ships?@[member='Kei Amadis'],
Yep following old imperial ideals. He'd be staunch old imperial, I realise the timeline so that is why I am stating it upfront, i'd do a decent backstory of an academy, like an old 'cult' surviving. However old imperial ideals are pretty close to what you propose here, so it'd fit well, minus of course the genocide, but that was done by Sith ;), not conceived by the officers themselves.

I also of course see credits are more a focus than the old empire but still, I don't see any other faction closer to it, than you.

@[member='Kei Amadis'],

Dranok used to be an old Imperial, he's a deserter of the Remnant and declared himself a Grand Admiral using his single star destroyer to wreck havoc with the Bluehawk Mercenary group before falling under the Imperial banner again. For your plan, I say shoot for it! I always love fleeters no matter who/what they are.

The Maw Consortium is now merged with the Corsair Brotherhood, but remains its own entity much like the Chiss Ascendancy is merged with the AE (Best example that i can find.) As such Void retains direct command over anyone in the MC, and those in the MC answer to him alone. But with that said, those in the Maw Consortium are asked to join the Corsairs as well but are not forced to do so. So, ya. If anyone still has in an interest in this i will gladly accept you. And with the results of my poll over RP ideas the Extermination of the Slavers campaign will be started tonight, part 1/6 that is.
