The Kuati Offensive [TSE vs. FWC]

The Mara II shook and shuddered. Kins pursed her lips as one of the cargo boxes popped open. Engineers looked none too happy about being tossed about like a ship in an asteroid field. The debris testing their shields probably were as good as big chunks and rocks of debris of a normal field. Her own stomach hitched as the crash-webbing tugged against her front. Painfully.

A stygium crystal rolled across the deck plating of the Mara as [member="Alistair Fenn"] flew them further aware from the destruction of the ring. Hopefully the haul would be enough for the Vagrant fleet and the smuggler's cut. Not to mention the ship plans the engineers brought with 'em. But they were all lucky to be alive, though the Mara II would likely have some repairs after this job.

The girl didn't let herself relax til' she felt that smooth transition that meant the stars were elongating and they were away.

Rausgeber watched the ring detonate, and begin to tear itself apart. He scowled. The madmen had done it, Kuat would rather damn itself to an eternity of irrelevence than allow itself to fall to the Sith. Stupidity and arrogance guid. The type, which showed to Rausgeber at least, that the heirs to the Galactic Empires shipwrights, were not worthy of their shipbuilding industry. The strong men of the Empire, had been replaced with weaklings, and cowards who believed in nothing greater. "Move us close to the ring, and snag our tractor beams to it!" The Grand Admiral glowered, "We will not return to Dosuun empty handed."

Battlegroup Imperator, and the remaining freighters leapt towards the ring, and with all their might, they of course couldn't salvage the whole ring. No, that was an impossibility. But they managed to cleave out a large chunk of what had once been a Kuati shipyard. Although not exactly in the state they would have wanted, the combined civilian and military force cleaved a massive chunk of the wreck from Kuats orbit, heaving it away. "Let the Sith deal with the rest." The automaton ordered, "And have Braisley's force return, for a sweep."

The Kuat operation had been a success, and now with the indiscriminate genocide caused by its sovereign, the First Order would prosper. Even with the assets to be paid to the appropriate corporations and tycoons, Carlyle saw nothing but victory, and supremacy in this endeavour. The assets and means seized, would now give Sieger Ren the upper hand in his war against the Jedi.

"And here I thought it only an Imperial-speciality," Fiolette commented on the madness she had just borne witness to. In all her years, she had always considered it an Imperial-esque specialty when it came to cutting off your own limbs. But this? This was beyond madness, klaxons wailed she had to consider if this was going to be worth it. The Rakal was a tough girl but she couldn't hold out any longer. And if her opponent was crazy enough to take their own. "Shields?"

The Rakal shuttered violently, "shields down, holding at 20%"

"Status of the 419?"

"We've lost at least half of our Bolts, and the Farooq is just barely hanging on." Farrah reported.

Fiolette wanted to smash something right about now, she knew most of the men and women aboard those ships. She mulled over her decision, "get Galeway and Montague on the line."

Farrah nodded in response, the Captain turned to see the two engineers had vacated their positions on the bridge. Smoke billowed across her footing while wires hung dangerously outside of the safety of their consoles. The emergency lighting and back up life support had already come online, power was being rerouted as she waited for the communications link to go online. "Commanders Galeway and Montague on the line."

"Get in with the Sith-Imperial forces and stay with them until the Task Force is repaired, I want a full casualty list once you're both able."

"You're not going to still try and board that ship are you?" Commander Galeway questioned, "the officer in charge is a complete lunatic if you haven't caught on to that just yet."

"I had considered it, and in my mind, I still mull over the decision." She turned to the holoprojection of the ships in the field and watched as the First Order markers moved forward, "but other opportunities shall present itself later on. For now, we've done our part for the Sith-Imperial forces and when Kuat finds itself in need..." Which from the looks of it, may come sooner rather than later. "We shall be there to assist, let us cut our losses and leave the wreckage for the dogs."

Commander Montague added, "should I relay to Denko?"

"Yes, inform her we'll be moving to the back of the formation until we're able to hyperspace out back to our own ports."

"Understood."

Fiolette had Farrah cut communications, "Mr. Farrah if you would, train all weapons on the Dutchman and cover for the 419's retreat."

"Of course."

The Galidraani watched the Rakal and the Dutchman close in on distance, and she watched as the gravity-hammers reached their threshold. A small smile wrapped its way onto her features. "Activate Hammers, engage shield leech." The Rakal would begin to leech off the Dutchman's shields to heal itself, while the retribution feedback would begin to hurt just a little more now that it was closer. Hammers, repulse controlled with corsuca gems lined on the flat would attempt to smash into the Dutchman. Tensor fields and redundant intertial dampeners, mag-pulse and plasma torpedoes, mass driver cannons and all secondary armament were now focused on the Dutchman. Meanwhile, the Muhktiar would pull the Farooq and the rest of the Bolts into formation Besh-Bacta-One and make the break, diving underneath the wreckage and firing at the B-Wings as they reached the unscathed Sith-Imperial forces.

Kalen looked down at the partitions of the ring reentering planetary atmosphere, their outlines starting to become hazy and indistinct due to the heat from reentry. Pondering his next course of action, he pulled his helmet back on. "K1, take full control of the starboard side guns, and fire on the larger pieces. If we can break them up and disintegrate a significant portion of their mass, we might be able to limit the impact." Not much, and it probably wouldn't help anything, but he'd sooner throw himself into the Netherworld than refuse to help. "Kaira, take control of the ship. Both of you make sure we get records of the destruction for that bounty; for now, I've got something else to do. Hold your breath!" With that said, he slammed his hand down on his control panel, opening up the blast shutter over the broken viewport again. He picked up his rifle on the way to it, before jumping out, with the blast shutter closing automatically behind him.

He spun quickly, firing his grappling cable at the hull of the ship, near where his own freighter was magnetically clamped against it. He augmented the speed of the winch with his own strength of pull, reaching his freighter quickly and climbing inside it. As he turned the craft on and detached the clamps, he heard K1's annoyed squealing coming through his helmet comms. "Sorry, droid, but there's one target left. Be ready to come pick up what's left of the B.L.E. and me if this goes wrong," he said into the microphone, locking eyes on what appeared to be - based on the fighting happening around it - the flagship of the Kuati fleet. The Flying Dutchman. Kalen accelerated, trying to reach it quickly, while arming his proton torpedo launchers.

"I hate working with Sith," he muttered to himself, throwing his ship into a roll to avoid a turbolaser blast. "I hate traitors even more." And so far as he was concerned, the person who had ordered the destruction of the major population center of their planet and essentially doomed anybody on the surface as well was a traitor to their own people. Kalen's own decided punishment for that? Dying with their people. Let the souls have their revenge in the afterlife, if it even existed.

All the ships in the area were looking pretty beat apart. Numerous star destroyes already turned into scrap. Kalen, dodging wreckage as well as stray fire, never lost site of his goal. The command tower and bridge of the Dutchman. He activated his targetting computer, locking in on the bridge of the Dutchman, and once he was within the proper range, launched a pair of proton torpedoes right for it, before pulling up sharply and turning around. Bombing run one down.
