The Kraemonen

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To add to the technological enhancement of the Bryn'adûl.
  • Canon: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: [Embedded]
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: The Kraemonen
  • Designation: Sentient | Hivemind
  • Origins: Elyriat Shard of Draemidus
  • Average Lifespan: Five-Hundred Years
  • Estimated Population: Inter-Planetary
  • Description: The Kraemonen are in their singular form [as seen above], carapaced worm like creatures that move around using what could be compared to feet however when combined these legs interconnect to interlace the Kraemonen into what could be compared to one singular creature otherwise known as a Hive Mind.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I - IV
  • Average Height of Adults: Single Kraemonen: 1m | Kraemonen Hivemind: 3.1m
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin colour: Orange
  • Hair colour: N/A
  • Distinctions: The Kraemonen are an evolution of experiments such as Crellderath, telepathic worms that are capable of interfacing with technology; specialised in interfacing with the Bryn'adûl technology and their Mind Stones. The Kraemonen form together in hives of varying sizes, homogenising into a seemingly singular hive-mind organism, using the Mind Stones as a way to organic themselves through a pre-existing network. This includes their neural pathways, which are able to link with whatever they touch, using their many legs as conduits for. However this link is drastically inferior without the Mind Stones.
  • Races: N/A
  • Force Sensitivity: Non-Sensitive
Strengths:
  • Versatility: When forming into a hivemind, the Kraemonen can act as a substitute for nearly anything and everything. For example, when acting as a substitute for say the interior systems of a walker or a tank they are essentially a hive-mind in a suit of armour, using their adaptable physiology to replicate the mechanical elements of a tank or vehicle. However, this requires specialisation; when a Hive-mind decides on its set form, ala humanoid like or something else it is hard for them to transfer their motor-function knoweldge to a completely different system.
  • Strong: When acting as muscle, the Kraemonen are incredibly strong. For example, a typical hivemind that is around three metres in height and forty times stronger than a man. They are, incredibly strong. This only increases with size.
  • Communion: The Kraemonen can use the Mind Stones to communicate to other species verbally or through thought/concept.
  • Technological Maestro: The Kraemonen can quickly understand most if not all forms of technology or industrial constructions.
Weaknesses:
  • Mind Stone: With enough Kraemonen to create a sufficient body mass, a Mind Stone they have bonded to can essentially harness a sentient hivemind. However, without it they are simply a writhing mass of neural laced worms.
  • Vulnerable: Whilst in truth the Kraemonen are formidable, they are what some might call a glass cannon. If shot directly into their physical mass they can be killed with high penetration weapons.
  • One trick: A hivemind learns how to do one thing and one thing only.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Nutrients/Anything really
  • Communication: Telepathic neutral interlacing
  • Technology level: Bryn'adûl Standard | Modern Equivalent
  • Religion/Beliefs: N/A
  • General behaviour: The Kraemonen are inherently territorial and reserved, they are a peaceful species outside of war time but are also inherently submissive to their creators. They can be communicated with through the Mind Stones used by the Bryn'adûl or simply through telepathy. The Kraemonen can imitate nearly anything they so wish, and sometimes mimic the personalities of those around them.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
As technologies advance, they evolve not unlike real sapient species. The Kraemonen is one such example of this, they began as organic technology designed to operate in similar functions to wires/mechanical structures or whatever purpose the Bryn'adûl required. However overtime, through connection to the Mind Stones and Draelvasier technology the Kraemonen eventually developed into their own species, capable of sentient existence. This happened as the Kraemonen learned through the Mind Stones.

Thusly, the
Draelvasier had unwittingly created a new species entirely unlike their own but built upon the same foundations of adapting to survive. When the Kraemonen gathered, they formed their first hivemind. A hivemind is a gathering of hundreds of individual Kraemonen; their telepathic abilities becoming compounded upon one and other to in essence when in the presence of a Mind Stone, create a being.

Living crafts, machinations. They become symbiotic to constructs and power. They became an equal, a powerful force of labour as they worked to serve the Bryn'adûl in their great mission.

Lookin good for crab supremacy, just have a couple of things to address here:

Description | This field seems to be missing entirely. Maybe this was a mistake even bringing the sub onto the forum for posting? Would you mind typing up a general description for the species?
Versatility | I can see how the "anything and everything" portion might stem from the Technology submission, however, it doesn't read correctly and leaves a very vague impression. Please add more detail here to give the reader a solid idea of what the Kraemonen could do when linked as a hivemind. In addition, maybe adding what specializations there are/could be would also be helpful in grasping the full concept.
Please give me a tag if you have questions or concerns or if you're simply done with edits!

I don't know how I missed out the description. I'm getting sloppy.
In regards to the strength, I left it purposelessly vague as to not apply any real restrictions, so then they can be used for whatever kind of NPC or whatever that somebody wants.

But, I've added some more detail/examples.
