The Jedi's Draconic Test (Jedi Order)

Blast. How did everything go wrong so quickly?

Just a week before, everything seemed to be going well. Kaine had been captured by the Jedi, and a man he respected, being Krag, took his place. Finally, it seemed the Sith would get their asses into gear and destroy the Jedi, destroy the Republic once and for all. Finally, with someone he knew and respected, he would find his place in the Sith... A place he'd been looking for all along.

But then it fell. It collapsed. The Sith Empire was destroyed, Krag's kingdom laid waste to. And in that battle, Nick had found one man, the man he'd been looking for since Dantooine.

Josh DragonsFlame. His own brother. He had stormed Korriban with the freaks, the monsters, the warmongers of the Republic. His dream to turn his brother and finally reunite in the Sith, and become one of the greatest forces the galaxy had ever seen had gone up in smoke, when he had been defeated. But, as he sat in the cell on Coruscant, he realized it'd been a enlightening experience. For so long, he had acted as a silent assassin for people like Circe Savan, Darth Kyros, Kaine Zambrano, Darth Vulcanus... And he had allowed himself to become overconfident in his abilities. Absorbed by power. And that overconfidence allowed his experienced older brother to defeat him.

He had expected his life to end there. He was down, his lightsaber knocked out of his hand. His twin bladed sanctuary was out of his reach, and he saw the fierce eyes that reminded him so much of his mother boring down upon him, blade raised, the blue hue set to strike and end him forever....

But it didn't come. Instead, he had felt a sharp pain as soldiers snapped handcuffs on him. The Jedi Master had helped him to his feet, and he was overcome by shock. For a moment, he thought he was being dealt a kindness, the only one that had ever been given to him in his life ever since the people who had raised him, the bounty hunters, had died. But then he realized it, he was being captured. Sent to one of the Republic's infernal prisons...

He had heard rumors, stories of what the Republic and the Jedi did to their prisoners... Dreams of torture and agony plagued the young man in his sleep ever since that day. As he sat in this prison on Coruscant, he knew that one day they would come for him... They would torture him. They would agonize him. They would kill him... Just as the Sith said they would...

But... The Sith hadn't always been truthful to him. Usually, they never were. Was this a simple lie? But yet... This was all he knew. It was all he knew to believe.

"Why couldn't you just let me die, you bastard...." the Sith Knight muttered to himself as he sat up on the bed in the cell. He'd spent the day staring at the ceiling, waiting for the end to come. He cursed the name of a man who was his only surviving flesh and blood, for what he had done to him... Why couldn't the bastard have just ended him on Korriban, and saved him from this pain.

"WHY COULDN'T YOU LET ME DIE?!" he finally let out, tossing a piece of rubble that had fallen from the wall that he had punched the day before at the wall. He had slowly began to descend into insanity as the days tricked by, paranoia overcoming him as he awaited the day they would come for him, and kill him, just as the Sith had predicted....

Present Day.

How long had it been? A month, maybe two? His red hair had grown long. His eyes had baggs that would rival the grumpy looking ones of Carn Dista. His mind had deteriorated as the days went by.

The Jedi hadn't come for him, yet. He'd been fed, that was about it. They'd been busy with their war games with the Fringe... And now it was over. He knew he would likely stand trial...

The only people to even look at him were his own brother, who Nick wouldn't even look at. The blighter should have just killed him, not left him to rot in a cell... To await torture by these monsters...

Another who showed up was some redhead... Who only upped her nose at him, as if she were better... Ah, if only he could escape this infernal deathtrap and wrap his hands around her scrawny little neck... He'd show her who was more powerful... If only...

DragonsFlame sat up on his cot, he'd slowly been trying to recover his strength... Regain the will to use the Force to break himself out...

He had wondered if the Sith would break him out... But a month later, they hadn't. Where was Krag? Where was Kaine? Where was Alexandra?

They had abandoned him... That was obvious. They weren't real men and women... They were nothing but backstabbing shrills, not true Sith... They were scum... It was obvious why the Jedi had beaten them... Why they had been batted back into the shadows like rats corralled into their little holes in the galaxy...

Their selfishness was their downfall. The Jedi and Sith, they were one and the same... Monsters, pledging to a cause they knew nothing about for their own gain. Their own lust for power.

The CIS and Fringers... They were the same as well. All giving the same message, but all out only for themselves...

How he loathed them all... But at the same time, an aching thought reached his mind.

What now?

Would he rot in a cell for life? Would the Jedi kill him? Would he get out, and if he did... What then? He had been captured, the Sith likely would use that as an excuse...

But perhaps, not all Sith... For while the Empire was over, he knew they would rise... Stronger then before. The strongest would be the ones that had weeded out the weak, the ones only out for themselves, and not the cause...

They would find him... Or perhaps he would find them... But how?

Coruscant Temple
Rianna was searching the libraries for the infamous jedi who only looked at books for a hobby, @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]. She had read something in his records that made her want to ask him questions. Rianna looked down each of the aisles for the familiar form of the Jedi Master, where are you Joshua.

OH, how silly. Rianna stopped concentrated, cleared her mind, Joshua, where are you

@[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

Sadly for Rianna, Josh tended to do his reading in his own quarters. Of course, she'd forgotten he wasn't a complete bookworm too, so that's a given for her to forget things... A lot.

Josh was absorbed in texts concerning Korriban's tombs. With the Sith out of the way and the planet theirs, Josh had plans to check it out in time... Even if Carn had already led an expedition there. But hey, the less people, the less time it'll take, right?

He needed a getaway from this hell anyway...

Oh he was being that way again, perhaps he needed a spanking to remind him of a few things, and she knew a few people that would do it, some would enjoy it. Rianna tried a little louder

JOSHUA WHERE ARE YOU

He heard Rianna screaming for him. From the library. Force sakes, what was wrong with this woman?

He closed the book and walked out of his quarters before poking his head into the library.

".... Rianna, you don't have to scream. I was in my blasted quarters" he said, mentally facepalming.

"....and finally once the focusing matrix is linked to the gatekeeper module, it should be completed. Is that all you wish to know Jedi Gan?" the holographic Gatekeeper said, it's flickering blue eyes staring upwards into those of the Shi'ido.

"That was all. Thank you Master Baas." she said, closing her link with the small cubic device and placing it back on it's spot in the shelf. Returning to the desk, she gathered her notes before leaving the holocron vault, typing in the key combination on a nearby keypad, locking the vault and it's precious storage within.

Placing the datapad into the folds of her robes, she slowed down her pace as she wandered through the Jedi Library, taking in the peaceful demeanor that emanated from the chamber. It had been a while now, maybe a few months since she had returned to the Temple on Coruscant, feeling it was time to take a trip away from the halls of her dear Academy, and reminisce in the building of her youth. Reliving past memories, she took her time leaving the library, chuckling to herself as she thought back to friends and students that she had accompanied to this center of learning in the galaxy. Lost in her thoughts, her attention was caught by the sound of voices, disturbing the calm silence of the chamber. Preparing to scold the two loudmouths, she made her way over to them, following the sound of their voices.

Rounding the corner of the aisle, she hissed at the pair, "Do you not understand the normal protocol of a library. You're supposed to be quiet, c'mon a bit of consideration to the others trying to study." Her heart froze as her eyes lay to rest on the two Jedi Masters. Her mouth dropped open, and her cheeks flushed a deep shade of green, as the embarrassment became apparent on her face. In an attempt to save herself, she began to form the words of an apology, "I'm sorry Masters. I didn't realise it was you." Sheepishly looking at the ground, avoiding the gaze of the man and woman, she began to wonder whether leaving would be the best option, to save herself at least from further embarrassment.

His lightsaber. It was on the bloody table. If he could just reach...

No... He didn't have the strength. This hellhole had weakened him. His legs hadn't run for a month. He wasn't in the shape that he was on Korriban. If only... If only...

Gah, he would have to keep building up his strength... It had dwindled just as his mind had... The Force had been hard to call on as of late, and he hadn't had much luck using it to get out.

If he could just inch enough strength to use the Force to get his lightsaber and use it to cut these blasted bars.....

Rianna looked over to Rasu Gan, "I was shouting for him telepathically, he decided to get verbal" Rianna smirked, ok maybe she was trying to get him in trouble but eh it did not matter at this point. Rianna shook her head, "Its ok Master Gan, I am sure we can be quiet now" Rianna whispered and smiled, sliding her hands into the folds of her robes.

It had been a long day already, and she needed to speak her mind for a moment. "I am thinking of traveling, but I am not quite sure why yet. strange how this sometimes works" Rianna looked from Josh to Rasu. Rianna's mind was full of thought, taking a deep breath she brushed them from her mind, and thought of the calm that she needed. "I have been meditating, and I just know I have a journey to undertake, the purpose of which is not known yet, do either of you know of a reason?"

@[member="Rasu Gan"] @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

He chuckled at Rasu. "Apologies" he said. "She was screaming so loud verbally, it's hard to tell with her sometimes" he explained. The woman was obviously loony though. It'd been a long day, he had just finished his training before doing some studies as a break of sorts.

He looked at Rianna at her travel plans, and shrugged a bit. "I'm not sure" he said. "Do you have any ideas?"

His strength was growing... He'd saved it up the last month.... The Sith Knight raised a hand and his lightsaber twitched just a bit...

How stupid was their warden, leaving the weapon there, as if just to taunt him. It twitched again... Come on, come on....

It flew through the air. Nick didn't have the strength to send it the full way. He managed to reach his hand out and grab it before it could hit the ground...

Checkmate.

The Sith Knight would need his strength if he was going to get out of this hellhole... He hid his lightsaber and lied back down.. He couldn't sleep just yet. But his desperation fuelled his hate...

Freedom... It shined like a beacon just out of his reach.

"No" she said disappointed, "sometimes the images are very quick, but the knowledge that it is there that is definite. And that you are involved, also definite." Rianna looked to Rasu again and smiled, "Perhaps a conversation for a place more private, so not to worry younglings, and initiates passing by and catching words here and there.

Rianna loved the library, it was a place of peace. That was why she always chose telepathy when in the library. It usually did not bother many.
