Tovald Kahmen’’a
Having cleared the hall for the most part, Tovald and Heinrich found themselves with a moment of reprieve. The flames died down, and Heinrich took a deep breath.
"That... took a lot out of me. Guess I still have a lot to learn."
He wasn't entirely sure what his limits were with this newfound power, but he knew that there would only be so much he could do with it for now. He would have to be careful about how often he used it if he wanted to maintain his momentum. His gaze slowly turned down the hall as a mysterious voice spoke, meeting that of the stranger that asked for their help. Something about the individual made the hair on the back of his neck stand up. The clothing looked similar to what he had seen in the visions Ty had shared with him, yet somehow felt alien... otherworldly perhaps. Whatever was going on, it had Heinrich feeling on edge. Nevertheless, he took the offer of help, and climbed down the rope.
The hallway below was an even grislier sight. Corpses and entrails were scattered across the ground, and the air was putrid with rot. Heinrich did his best to keep it from his mind. Thankfully, he had been in the presence of death enough to be able to stomach the stench. His first move was toward the soldier that had been screaming in fear. Heinrich grabbed him by the shoulder, slamming him into the wall.
"Are you not a soldier? Where's your courage? We aren't dead yet, and I'll be damned if I let you run off and get yourself killed. If we're all going to die, then we may as well make it count."
His impromptu pep talk was cut short by the screams of Frank from behind the door. Heinrich rushed over, trying his best to find a way through, but it was no use. Perhaps his new abilities could open the door, but he would need time...
