- Population: Sparse- Besides a currently active mine and one main city the mountain range remain largely unpopulated, the shear cliffs and rock terrain not being very homey.
- Demographics: Humans make up the majority with small percentages of other races
- Accessibility: The mountain range is not hard to access, bordering the Sarpin wastes from the west
- Description: The range is a concave like sharp peaked mountain range with meany shear vertical cliffs that are hard to climb without dedicated equipment. Such a sharp peak more or less completely cuts the Sarping\ wastes from the other side which is a desert due to the 'Rain Shadow' effect. Most of the cliffs are barren and rocky with little to no vegetation around or on it.
POINTS OF INTEREST
- Mt Montella- The only significant area on the mountain range (as seen on the right) where the slope is more assailable, it also contains the main mining operation in the area using old vein tunnels to dig deep and attain the little minerals still on the planet.
- Montel Mines- A vast mining network that starts at the mid section of Mt Montella and works it's way along a good portion of the mountain range.
- Dieprian- Another more easily accessible slope on the northern end of the range (on the left in the image). Most of the miners and military personal live here in small towns and one main city, the place renown for it's mountaineers and other regiments.
- Entumbra- The main city/town in the region, mainly as a transportation hub were the mined ore is loaded up and shipped out, such a place being heavily guarded due to the scarcity of iron and other ores of the world.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
It is unknown were such a large mountain range came from as most of Tythe, despite a few hill ranges is rather flat. Most scientific people suggest it is tectonic plate movement from underground which over several hundred years has pushed the mantel up giving them the new mountain range. Others believe that such a large formation may be from an asteroid that crashed sometime during the plague, mainly due to it's heavy composition of iron and other metal ores.
Regardless the mountain range was soon set aside to be the main mining establishment for the planet to help alleviate the need to import the necessary materials. Due to this the mines are guarded quite heavily with a military regiment that also acts as a police force, mainly to prevent people from stealing due to metallic ores and such being of high value on the planet. Such a military instillation also gave rise to the training of expert mountaineering men.
Over all like most places on Tythe very little is known about it as due to the entire world being uninhabited for the last century or so and never having a major population even before being stripped mind.
